Julie G swatches: Cabana Boy, Fairytale and Gelato in Venice

In this post I have three random Julie G polishes to show you.

Cabana Boy:

Cabana Boy is a bright and strong blue cream in the same range as Nails Inc. Baker Street. You easily can get away with one rich coat, but this is 2 coats with a top coat.

Fairytale:

Fairytale is a pretty lilac cream, very opaque in one coat, but this is 2 easy coats (good dry time) with a top coat.

Gelato in Venice:

Gelato in Venice is a beautiful mint cream, very opaque in one coat, but this is 2 easy coats (good dry time) with a top coat.

This is the latest swap-parcel from my sweet, generous and always positive friend Lydia, Purple Castle, whom I really am proud to call my friend - thanks a million times again!!!

6 L'oreals from my wish list, the first 4 from the Versailles Romance coll.: Royally Yours, Pisachio dream, Creme puffs, Lacey lilac and 2 from the TRENDsetter coll.: Royally reinvented and Not a cloud in sight...

Jesses Girl Julie G collection came out in 2011, but I only recently purchased these 6 from the collection.

Jesses Girl Cupcake Frosting - a vivid and happy pink

 

Jesses Girl Fashion Friday - a warm-toned medium purple

 

Jesses Girl Girls Night Out - a bright medium blue

 

Jesses Girl Mermaid's Lagoon - a super pretty sea green teal with a subtle copper shimmer

 

Jesses Girl Party Dress - a happy red leaning towards coral

 

Jesses Girl Stiletto a nougat brown/neutral with a lovely silvery shimmer

 

An abstract tardy tart...

 

 

.... annnnd my right hand - tadaaaa ;)

The base color is Sation Tardy Tart, a gorgeous purple neon. With the bottle brushes in each of the following colors I created an abstract pattern and outlined it with black (striper). Light green: Sally Hansen Green With Envy, the blue: Jessica King Tut’s Gem, the pastel yellow: China Glaze Lemon Fizz and the pink: Julie G My Horoscope Says. Top coat is as always Seche Vite.

And this time I remembered to take photos of my right hand too…

Grundfarven er Sation Tardy Tart, en smuk lilla neon. Jeg brugte penslerne i flaskerne på hver af de følgende farver til at lave et abstraks design, og jeg outlinede med en sort striper. Den lysegrønne er Sally Hansen Green With Envy, den blå: Jessica King Tut’s Gem, den pastel gule: China Glaze Lemon Fizz pg den lyserøde: Julie G My Horoscope Says. Toplakker er som altid Seche Vite.

 

My horoscope says that you want flowers…

 

 

 

The base color is the bright, bold fuchsia metallic Julie G My Horoscope says… - I love it. I wanted to keep the nail art simple, so I went for a few green vines and small white flowers, painted in acrylic color. The top coat is Seche vite.

Grundfarven er den friske, klare fuchsiafarvede metallic Julie G My Horoscope says… - jeg er vil med den. Jeg holdt mig til lidt enkel nail art og nøjedes med lidt grønne ranker og små hvide blomster malet med akrylfarve. Toplakken er Seche Vite!

Neon - Artsy Wednesday

 

This weeks challenge in Artsy Wednesday is neon!

The base color is the gorgeous bright, bright green polish from The Polish Junkie, the name is Apple. 

Using the bottle brushes of each of these neons: China Glaze Sun-Kissed, Sinful 24/7, Julie G Fierce & Fab and Gabrini M113 – I created a random pattern and outlined it with a black striper. The top coat is Seche Vite.

The base color is Julie G Fierce & Fab, a gorgeous purple neon – sighhh, I love everything about it.

I painted the flowers with acrylic paint, and the top coat is Seche Vite.

Grundfarven er Julie G Fierce & Fab, en smuk lilla neon – suuuk, jeg elsker alt ved den.

Jeg malede blomsterne med akrylfarve, og toplakken er Seche Vite!

Hiding in pastels

 

 

In my series of hiding in X, I have reached the pastels. First I painted 2 coats of the following colors: thumbs Julie G Fairytale, index Nails Inc. Sumner Place, middle Color Club Blue Ming, ring Essie Bikini so Teeny and pinkie Barry M Strawberry Ice Cream. With a dotting tool I created the camouflage pattern using the same colors, but the Strawberry Ice Cream was a bit too subdued, so I dotted Essie Lovie Dovie over those spots. Finally I top coated with Seche Vite.

I min serie Hiding in x er jeg nået til pastellerne. Først lagde jeg to lag af de følgende lakker: tommel Julie G Fairytale, pege Nails Inc. Sumner Place, langefinger Color Club Blue Ming, ringfinger Essie Bikini so Teeny og lillefinger Barry M Strawberry Ice Cream. Med et dotting tool lavede jeg et kamuflagemønster med de same farver, men Strawberry Ice Cream var lidt for blev I farven, så jeg lagde et lag Essie Lovie Dovie over de pletter. Til slut topcoatede jeg med Seche Vite.

Nail Mail from KarenD

Do you know the kind of person that sends you twice as many polishes as you sent to her...?
That's the kind of person that KarenD from Frazzle and Aniploish is...
Karen had in a comment written that she would like to get some Catrice polishes, so I wrote that I was heading for a one-day trip to Germany, so I could get her some. She made a wish list of 8, and I said we could swap more if she wanted, but no, that was it, so of they went as soon as I was home again...
Karen gave me some brand names and I made a few wishes, and said that she could choose the rest. And one day the mail man brought 17 polishes from Karen - yes 17!!!
I emailed her and said that I probably owed her some money for all those nice goodies - and she replied: Absolutely not - it's the same price to ship that kind of mailer no matter what it weighs, so after I put in the bottles I'd bought for you, I filled the rest of the space with things from my swap boxes that have been hanging around my house being ignored for way too long.
Thanks a million Karen, you are simply the best!

Hedy's oke.doke: Camo Loco - a mossy/olive/army kind of metallic green with shimmer, Steal This Teal - MUCH darker IRL, kind of dark, dusty grey/green/blue with shimmer and finally Purple Nurple - a eggplant purple (also darker than shown) with delightful shimmer in it!
