Ice Cream Cone Trio Cards - Simon Says Stamp Dream Big Release

Good morning! I'm popping in here today to share a couple more cards using some items from the recent Simon Says Stamp Dream Big Release. I had some time with my niece who loves making cards, and is super talented. We actually created these cards together - she picked all the ink colors, and did such a great job, don't you think?

I hadn't had a chance yet to use the Scoop and Cone die from the release, and it paired up so fun with some juicy ink colors and the new Rhythmic 3D Embossing folder! I cut all the layers of the die from white cardstock, and then blended Pawsitively Saturate inks on each piece to create the layers.

For each cone on this first card, I used Cappuccino and Mocha for the cone layers, and then full trios of colors for the ice cream. First one was Morning, Twilight, and Galaxy; second cone was Cheeky, Blush, and Pucker; and final cone was Celery, Limelicious, and Pearfection. For both cards, I used the Rhythmic 3D embossing folder on dampened white cardstock (to get a better impression), then let it dry overnight under something to weight it down, before trimming to adhere to each card.

I used a Cream cardbase for a touch of contrast with the white embossed cardstock, but still leaving the colors nice and neutral. I also added sentiments from the Reverse Bold Birthday preprinted sentiments - so fun and easy!

For the second card, I used Latte and Cappuccino for the cone layers, and then full trios again for each of the ice cream scoops. First cone used Bubblegum, Sweets, and Taffy; second cone used Melon, Cantaloupe, and Sherbet; and final cone used Seafoam, Surf, and Ocean. Once I had all the layers adhered together, I also added a layer of Blizzard Nuvo Glitter drops for the perfect juicy sparkle on each one!

I used foam to pop up each of the cones and ice cream scoops, and then finished off with a few Pinkfresh Studio Glacier jewels for the perfect bit of sparkle! Which color combo is your favorite? I'd love to hear!

I'm sharing a couple cards today using the fabulous new Bohemian Background Hot Foil plate that is part of the release, and thanks to my Pinkfresh Studio Solid hot foil plate, I'm doing it two different ways!

First up, I foiled the panel on white Hammermill cardstock, using Aura foil - I love how it is a soft gold with a bit of rainbow iridescence. So pretty!

And how about that super soft rainbow gradient in the background? I simply ink blended over the top with all the leftover ink on my blending brushes. I don't know about you, but there is always a bit left from other projects - and this was a great way to use that up, and get a SUPER soft and pretty background, don't you think?

I die cut the panel using a Basic Rectangle die, and popped it up with foam on a white cardbase. I then die cut and layered together the Friend die (older release), and popped it up with foam before adding the additional sentiment from Sentiment Strips All Things Happy that I trimmed into a banner shape.

Finally, I added a few Clear Iridescent Drops to embellish!

The second version is so glamorous with all that foil!

For this one, I used the leftover foil from the original image with my Solid Hot Foil plate to create a reverse image. All that lovely foil now doesn't have to go to waste - yay!

I also die cut it with a Basic Rectangle die, and popped up with foam before adding sentiments in the same way.

And of course, embellish the same on this one too - gotta have that bling, am I right?!?!?

Stenciled Horizons - Simon Says Stamp Dream Big Release

Hello! I'm super excited to be sharing my first couple of cards using the BRAND NEW Simon Says Stamp Dream Big Release that just went live! I'm using a couple of favorite items from the new release to share with you - and of course, I couldn't create just ONE card...when I could do TWO, right?

Before we take a closer look at my cards - you can click HERE to view the entire release (affiliate link used at no cost to you)!

So...onto my cards to share!

I fell in love with the adorable Horizon Lines stencil set. I can tell this one is going to be super fun - lots of options and ways to use this stencil set. It basically has slits in the stencil, so that you can slip your cardstock through, and choose which line you want to stencil.

I love that you can do either the positive, or the negative of each one. Like this tree line - wouldn't it be fun to do the reverse, and leave the tree and hill white to depict a snowy skyline, then add the night sky? For this card I used one trio of green inks - Spring, Dublin, and Lucky - to get a perfect gradient.

I added a sentiment with the new XL Student Greetings stamp set. Now, obviously, from the name, you can tell that this is more of a back-to-school stamp set. But I love that this sentiment is generic enough to work for a new job, a move, heading off to college, or any new adventure!

I trimmed the panel down, mounted with foam on a white cardbase, and finished off with a few coordinating Pinkfresh Studio jewels for a touch of sparkle!

Next up, same stencil and sentiment stamp set, totally different look!

For this one I used the two cloud elements of the stencil, and also turned the stencil over and used the reverse side, to get a total of 4 different options for my cloud stencil lines.

I started at the top and worked down using Twilight, Heather, Sweets, Cheeky, Peachy, Melon, Celery, and Tidepool. I love this color palette - so dreamy! I added my sentiment over the top in black as well.

I added a scallop frame from Pinkfresh Studio, and a few sparkly coordinating Pinkfresh jewels to finish this one off!

Floral Corner Thank You Cards - Simon Says Stamp August 2022 Card Kit

Good morning! I'm popping in to share my first card using the BRAND NEW August 2022 Simon Says Stamp Card Kit - Vintage Garden! This month's kit a fun mix of soft and vintage items, with a focus on florals! The included stamp set by the same name has some lovely floral images and scripty sentiments, there is a fun 3D Embossing folder, of course some lovely pattern paper, embossing ink and powder...that's all not to mention the cardstock, envelope, and more!

Yesterday I shared a few thank you cards I made with this beautiful stamp set - today I'm sharing another design that uses a different floral image, slightly softer color tones in the same color families, and a one layer design that is even easier to pop in the mail as well!

I chose one floral image from the stamp set for these cards, and lined it up in my MISTI on one corner of my white cardbases. I then stamped in that corner, rotated the card 180 degrees, and stamped again. So I had the floral stamped two times perfectly in opposite corners. Nice and easy!

Like yesterday's cards, I stamped two of each color to build up a stack of thank you cards, and then stamped the sentiment over the top in Versafine black ink - again using my MISTI to make it quick and easy!

And that was all that was needed for these cards! No layers to adhere or anything!

Here is a closer look at the entire kit contents - you can see it all HERE:

Floral Trio Thank You Cards - Simon Says Stamp August 2022 Card Kit

Good morning! I'm popping in to share my first card using the BRAND NEW August 2022 Simon Says Stamp Card Kit - Vintage Garden! This month's kit a fun mix of soft and vintage items, with a focus on florals! The included stamp set by the same name has some lovely floral images and scripty sentiments, there is a fun 3D Embossing folder, of course some lovely pattern paper, embossing ink and powder...that's all not to mention the cardstock, envelope, and more!

I found myself in need of some thank you cards, so I pretty much focused on the gorgeous stamp set in the kit, and created doubles of each of these colors you see here - so quick and easy with a MISTI, Simon Says Stamp ink, and white cardstock!

I lined up that lovely floral image in my MISTI, then stamped it on white cardstock multiple times using Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Saturated inks in Rose, Mandarin, Pearfection, Ocean, and Violet. Once I had the florals stamped, I added the beautiful thank you sentiment in Versmark black ink over the top - again lining up in my MISTI so I could quickly stamp it many times.

To finish these cards off, I simply die cut each panel with one of the Basic Rectangles dies (you could trim the panels down, but this was quicker and easier for me - plus gives that lovely finished edge!). Then for a touch of dimension I adhered the panels with foam panels.

Mini Slimline Cake Cards - Pinkfresh Studio YouTube Live Cards

Good morning! Dropping by today to share a couple cards made earlier this week for Pinkfresh Studio's YouTube Live - I used some newly released items, paired up with some older releases, and created these two mini slimline cards with a fun purple color theme that would be easy to switch out to any monochromatic color scheme you wanted! You can watch the video replay HERE if you want to see more details and watch these cards come together.

I love the gorgeous Celebrate in Style set - the one piece stamp/stencil/die combo allows you to quickly create two entire cake sets so quickly! And the added embellishments are just amazing.

I used purples for both the cake layers and the florals, and traditional greens for the leaves and greenery. I used the same purple tones for the stenciled sentiments as well - I love that they have their own coordinating dies! For this first card, I also used the Ornate Medallions coverplate die for added texture on the background.

I used the coordinating die for the cake plate for both cards, cutting from matte gold cardstock. You can also stencil it and cut it out, but I love it all on it's own with the included texture that makes it super fun.

For this second card, I used the Dotted Scallops coverplate die for texture. Both cards have a frame die cut from Mini Slimline Frames, secondary sentiments from the stamp set, and a few Metallic Gold Pearls to embellish at the end!

Flea Market Finds - Spellbinders Paper Arts

Hello! I'm stopping by to share a few cards using the fun Flea Market Finds Collection that released recently from Spellbinders. I used some of the paper and embellishments from the collection to create these fun layered cards so quickly and easily! By keeping lots of bright white space and adding gold foiled sentiments, I love the mix of vintage and modern that came together in these cards. I used a Speckled Eggshell cardstock to create the cardbases, then white panels to set everything off and provide a touch of contrast.

First up - my favorite card! I made a full size slimline card featuring the pretty trio of birds in the Happy Thought Miscellany Printed Die cuts. I fell in love with them, and originally thought I would create three separate cards, but they came together so pretty all on one slimline card!

Using the same cardstock as the cardbases - Speckled Eggshell - I also die cut 3 small ovals to use as a base to anchor each of the bird images. I also used one of the Etiquette's Stickers, trimmed in half, to add some interest to the top and the bottom of my panel.

I popped the birds up with foam adhesive, added a hot foiled sentiment created from Mini Everyday Sentiments, and a sprinkle of Pinkfresh Metallic Gold Pearls to finish this card off!

The next 3 cards all feature the same sentiment hot foil set, some Pinkfresh Gold pearls (this time in the Matte version), and a bit of white torn cardstock under the layers for texture. First up, this card featuring more of the Miscellany and Stickers:

I loved that green shutter, and of course the detailed butterfly sticker. Since I wanted to pop the butterfly up with foam adhesive, I used a trick I had seen years ago - use an embossing powder tool all over the entire sticky side of the sticker, until it isn't sticky anymore. Then, I could just add foam adhesive to adhere it to my card!

Next up, this fun vintage and sort of masculine design!

This piece from the Miscellany looked so classic and vintage - perfect for a more masculine design. And adding the pearls in a row on this card, helped keep it from changing over to a super feminine design as well.

And one more pairing the Stickers and Miscellany! And I did mention I loved those shutters...so of course I had to use them both. :)

I did the same thing with this sticker, only I adhered part of it directly to the window shutter and then used the powder tool on the rest. I also added a twist of gold thread under the sentiment on this one for some extra texture!

And then one final card - this one utilizes some of the pretty Floral Palette Sampler pattern paper. I will be making more simple cards with this lovely paper for sure!

I used my Distressing tool to add texture to the edges of the pattern paper panel, and also matted it with a bit of white cardstock to help it pop. Sentiment is from Essential Glimmer Sentiments hot foil, I hand trimmed it down to a strip with an angled edges after hot foiling it, and popped it up with foam adhesive!

And there you have it! Despite this collection having a super strong vintage feel, I had fun creating light and airy cards with a bit of a modern twist to them! I hope you enjoyed as well!
