Layered Embossing - Rainbow Gifts of Joy - Simon Says Stamp Make Merry Release Blog Hop

Good morning! Excited today to be joining in on Day 2 of an epic blog hop to celebrate the BRAND NEW Make Merry Release from Simon Says Stamp! Make sure and check out all the inspiration with this new release AND link up your creations as you receive your orders HERE in the Gallery created just for this release! And check out the graphic below to receive a FREE Stickles Festive Glitter Glue with the coupon code below through Sunday, October 11, 2020 as well - while supplies last (code expires at 11:59 PM EDT)!!!

I also have a video to share for this card sharing a double layered embossing technique with some watercolors - one of my favorite techniques for emboss resist!

Here is that video - you can also watch it on my YouTube Channel HERE

I started off by using my MISTI to stamp the Gift Boxes Cling Background stamp in clear embossing ink, AND the sentiment from CZ Designs Good Cheer stamp set in Versafine Onyx black ink. THEN, I sprinkled clear embossing powder over all of it and heat embossed with my heat gun.

Then, it was just a matter of adding watercolor over the entire thing - in rainbow order to make color mixing and blending nice and easy! The clear embossing "resists" the watercolor, revealing the beautiful background.

I die cut that panel with Stitched Rectangles dies, and added a tiny supporting sentiment, heat embossed on a thin strip of black cardstock to finish it off.

GIVEAWAY INFO:
Simon Says will be giving a $25 gift certificate to their online store at each stop along the hop - so make sure and leave a comment before you leave for a chance to win! Winners will be announced next Wednesday on the Simon Says Stamp Blog.

Autumn Weather Layered Leaves Stenciled Card - Simon Says Stamp Make Merry Release

Hello! Dropping by with my first card using the BRAND NEW Make Merry Release from Simon Says Stamp! You didn't think they would take a long break after STAMPtember, did you? Haha!

I also have a video to share for this card using the gorgeous new Falling Leaves Layering Stencil - so very fun!

Here is that video - you can also watch it on my YouTube Channel HERE

I love how fun this stencil is to use - and while I used very traditional fall colors like it's name suggests, you could easily mix it up to far less traditional combos for a fun way to shake it up!

Sentiment was added with one of Suzy's new watercolor prints for the release - Sweater Weather. I painted it with some of the same distress ink colors and popped it up on foam adhesive on the background.

A bit of glossy accents add a great dimensional finish to the pumpkins - as well as a bit of texture!

Tidings of Comfort and Joy - Pinkfresh Studios WCMD Challenge

Hello! I'm happy to be sharing with you today a card for part of Pinkfresh Studio's World Card Making Day challenges! There is a new challenge going up every two hours, each with a fabulous prize - and you have a week to play along! I'm hosting a Clean and Simple challenge - one of my favorite cards to make!

Clean and Simple cards are one of my favorite styles to make! It doesn't always mean they are easy - sometimes it takes a lot more thought and effort to pack an impact into a card design without piling on layers and embellishments.

One key element is plenty of white space. On this card I accomplished that by stamping my images and sentiments in opposite corners of my card front, allowing space in the middle to let those elements shine.

I hope you enjoy this challenge - can't wait to see what you create!
