In July, 1971, Charlton released one of their coolest mystery mags of all time, Haunted! What made the first ish so groovy was that it was an all-Steve Ditko extravaganza, baby! All three stories in that mag are far-out, but Ol' Groove's fave has always been "It's About Tyme", which featured a "chubby computer engineer" with ESP and telekinetic powers known only as Mr. Tyme. This story had all the makings of a series debut, with Tyme's very original and offbeat look and powers, and Miss Mason, the assistant/love interest . Ah, what might have been.
