Its time for the CWC I Feel the Love Project

Hello everyone it is time for Madison's I Feel The Love project for Cooking with Cricut this week.
Here is a little about the August Recipient.
As written by Karen, the best friend of Olivia's mom-- Olivia is a 9-year-old with a sparkling heart, in need of extra love and encouragement. My lifelong friend is her mother, who lost her battle to cancer in 2011. Facing this new reality has been extremely hard for her. As valiantly as our beloved Erika fought cancer, with that same strength is Olivia doing all she can to end this disease. Soon after her passing, at only 8 years old Olivia founded Kids Involved in Cancer Research with a fierce drive to raise awareness and money for colon and lung cancer research. With her KICR walkathon for this year taking place this past weekend, a box of IFTL love will be such an encouragement. She is so brave, possessing the same inspiring strength I saw in Erika, and I would give anything to take away her pain. Madison's ministry gives us the privilege of delivering sunshine to Olivia's heart. Our happy cards will bring a smile to her beautiful face as she fights her own battle of dealing with the loss of her mom. It will mean so much to her to see that there are people thinking of her, who took the time to make a fun little card especially for her. Every card will be a blessing, engulfing her with healing love and light.
So here is my card for Olivia.

I used the Cricut Cart Sweet Treats page 32 to make the tall sundae cutting at 9 inches.
The stamps are from  Yummy Puns by Joy's Stamps.
Ribbon from Joanns.
I also used my Drippy Goo MS punch and the Cuttlebug Divine Swirl embossing folder.
The whip cream is made with a pearl pen and sparklies
Then Red Stickles for the cherry on top.
Here is the inside with a little piece of leftover ribbon on the corner.
I hope you will join us this week for the challenge and create a card for Olivia.  Not only will it make her feel special to get all these lovely cards but make you feel special to participate and share your creativeness with others.  You have a week to link up your project at CWC.  Happy Craftin!

FCCB Baked goods August 15= Cake shaped box from Sweet Tooth Cartridge

The challenge for this week at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge is a "Piece of Cake".  For this challenge you are to make a project using a baked good .  So right away I knew I wanted to do a project from my new  Sweet Tooth Boxes. This is one of the new project carts from Provo Craft.  This is the Cake box made at Fit to Page on a 12 x 12 page.  Inside the box you can see there is a place to put a very special cupcake.  For the top I added a rosette I made topped with a flower.  I then cut out the 2 with a candle top from Sweet Treats.  To make it stand better I welded a small square to the bottom of the 2 to glue on the box.  To embellish I added Happy Birthday to the back , Stickles to the candle, MS drippy goo punch to make the dripping chocolate on the sides and gems.
Hope you enjoyed this "sweet" cake project and that you are inspired to join us for the challenge this week.  I can't wait to see all the baked goods creations.  Nothing yummier than that.  Happy Craftin!

Ice cream cone card- Indulge Yourself

I made a card similar to this a few weeks ago and wasn't real happy with it.  I decided to try it again and make some adjustments.  The cardstock is cut at 12 x 5 inches and scored at 4", 6 ", 8 " and 10 ".  I then folded it accordian style.  The ice cream cuts are from Sweet Treats page 31 and  were cut at 2 inches.  The cone at 4 ".   I used round gems to bling it out and tear drop gems for ice cream drops.  The pink and green tear drops were clear drops that I colored with Alcohol Inks to match the ice cream colors.  I then added a cherry on top of glittered paper.  The sentiment is Indulge Yourself.
I am entering this card in two challenges  Die Cuttin Divas Sweets card and BBTB2 Sweet Treats  ice cream cone,

My project for today is a  dollhouse book or a square –around mini album and is made from 4 sheets of full size scrapbook paper.  The fun thing is you can set it out and tie it open to   view all the little rooms.  Once you learn how to make these they are quick to put together and can be made for holidays, birthdays, births or any other event. I used Tags, Bags, Sweet Treats and Birthday Bash Cricut carts to decorate.   Remember you can click on the pictures to enlarge them.    Here is a link I found online of the directions for making the book.

My blog candy for this blog hop and this month is a $25 gift certificate for your choice of Michaels or Joanns.  I am celebrating my 6 month blogaversary as well as going over 250 followers.  Please become a follower and leave a comment. All comments made on my blog from July 13-July 30th will be entered in the drawing.
Please come back all 3 days for more great projects and more chances to win.
So now you are off to your next stop

Birthday card and envelope using Wild Card

This is a card I made today for two challenges.  The first was for More Than  Favors and was to make a project using Wild Card.  I had not pulled this cart out in along time and I really enjoyed getting it out and exploring this great cart again.   This is the card on the fifth row button 8.  I cut the card and envelop at 7 inches using double sided paper.  This cut was actually for a baby shower and had a  champagne bottle at the top which I did not like so I hid this cut and added a candle from Sweettreats and welded with my Gypsy.  I used several stamps and MS punches.  Then I added bling because you can never have too much bling.  I am also entering this card in the birthday card challenge at Birthday Sundaes.  This week you were to make a birthday card of any kind with words on the front.  This is a great challenge as you always need birthday cards in your stash.

Double Twisted Birthday Easel card

I made another double twisted easel card today.  I needed to make a card for the son of our friends who is turning seven.  I used Sweethearts  for the seven and the hat.  I am also posting this in the weekly challenges for Scrappy Mom (use Sweet Treats) and  Celebrate the Occasion  challenge (using a birthday party hat.)

Card is made cutting 8 x 8 shape and scoring at 4 inches all the way across and then 4 inches down to first score.  Fold pieces down and then decorate card.  The bottom piece decoration needs to be pop dotted to hold the folded pieces in place when it stands up.

Summer treat - an accordian ice cream cone

This project has been linked to the Patches of Pink Link up party for this week.  Check it out and add your own projects.
This is a card I designed today for a Cricut Circle challenge.  For the weekly challenge we were to make a project showing a summer treat we enjoy.  I got this idea in my head for a card using our families favorite treat ice cream.   I wanted to have it look like a regular ice cream cone until it was opened up.
The card itself is a 5 " x 12 " piece of cardstock.  I then scored the piece at 2 ", 4 " and 6 " and 8 ".  I then folded the paper  accordian style.  I then cut paper from  the DCVW Stack Simply Sweet.  Four pieces were cut at 1 3/4 " x 4 3/4 ".  One piece was cut at 3 3/4" x 4 3/4.  I glued these down and then added edge on each side using drippy glue punch.  I used the Sweet treats cart to cut the ice cream cone pieces.  I used my Gypsy and made several sample cuts.  The size I decided upon was 4.76.
I then embossed each piece and added Stickles and the stamps.
