Mickey MInnie birthday layouts

In November we had a dual birthday party for two of my grandkids.  Kenzie turned 3 and her brother Micah turned one within one month of each other.  The theme of the party was Mickey and Minnie.  They dressed up in their Halloween costumes and were just the cutest little Mickey and Minnie.  Rather than use birthday paper I used some of my Disney paper to go with the theme and decorations.

I used the invites I made on this page.

Disney Layouts part 1

I haven't been scrapbooking much for my grand kids so the last two crop weekends at the Scrapbook store where I teach I got down to some crazy scrapbooking.  I did tons of pages to share and finished the complete Disney  album for my granddaughter Kenzie and grandson Micah's first trip to Disney.  I got to go with them so took lots of pics.  I have been collecting Disney stuff for awhile now so had lots of "stuff" to choose from.  Most of the pages were very quick and easy with matting, embellishments, and a Cricut cut here or there.  I didn't want to add a lot of junk and take away from the colorful pictures.

This is the first page with Kenzie trying on her Minnie dress and holding her Mickey before we left.
I used Mickey and Friends and Mickey Font for this one.

The first double page layout is  Downtown Disney.
I did matting and added a clear filmstrip piece on each page.

First Stop is cut with Cricut and pictures are of lunch at the Rainforest Cafe.

These two pages are of the parade.  I used Stickers and other embellishments from my stash.

More pages tomorrow.,

Disney Cruise layouts

I wish I could say these layouts are for a cruise I have done or was about to do.  But heavy sigh  no Disney cruise in my near  future.  I have been making Disney kits for my Scrapbook store and these are two more of the double page layouts I have designed.
At least if I do go on a Disney cruise someday I will have my pages ready to cut out.  LOL

First Trip to Disney layouts

Recently my youngest daughter and her family, including her to daughters, went to Disneyland for the first time.  They went with the in laws so I wasn't there :) but got these great pics to scrap.
Let me tell you it was quick and easy as I had collected  a little Disney paper and recently I cut out some characters for a friend.  Since I was doing it anyway I cut out doubles for future use.
All the cuts are from Mickey and Friends and Mickey Font.

Looks like a fun time was had by all!

I used Diamond Stickles and a Pearl Pen for accents.

Bitten by the Bug 2 challenge- Use a frame

Hello everyone!  Excuse me for just a second while I stop to do the "happy dance." I am still pinching myself that I am now a part of the BTTB2 Design Team.  I am so lucky to be a part of this wonderful creative group that have inspired me for so long.  I love the challenges at BBTB2 and this first challenge as part of the DT is a great one.
Melissa is challenging everyone to use a frame from any cart and for a real challenge to use it on a layout.  Now if you don't want to do a layout a card is fine too.

I keep quite busy doing layouts of my three precious granddaughters.  Before I share my layout I have some exciting news.  We found out Friday after two daughters and then three granddaughters we are going to have a grandson in October.  I finally get to make baby boy layouts.  I am so excited!!!!!!
For my layout today this is Kenzie who is going to be the proud big sister.
I used a Martha Stewart stack
Recipe:
Frame cut from Elegant Edges page 41 at 6.75.  I cut the shadow one time and the frame two times so I could pop dot it for dimension.
Cutie is from Elmo and Friends Holiday Cart page 26 cut at 2.5 inches
Bug is cut from the Mickey Font at 2.5 inches
The heart border is also from Elegant Edges page 41 cut at 1.5 inches.  I then used the cut out hearts on the frame and title for accents.
The ladybugs along the bottom  are from Walk in my Garden page 118 cut at 1.5 and 1.75 inches
The top ladybug is cut from page 119 at 1.75 inches.
I tied bows with a mixture of orange, pink and green twine.
Used my MS ladubyg punch
Added gems to the inside of the hearts on the frame
and chalked all edges

This is the second page of the layout.  I kept this page flat.

I would love to read your comments.

I hope you will join us this week for the "Frame Challenge" and link up your project to BBTB2.   There are a lot of great frame carts so this should be a fun challenge.  I can't wait to see what everyone creates.  Happy Craftin!

Read N Draw Quick Layout

Here is a one page layout I did  using some bright fun paper and a couple quick Cricut cuts.
The "Read" was cut from Mickey and Friends, the "N" from Mickey Font and the Draw from Nate's ABC.  The Crayola embellishments were from the Michael's $1 section and then I added some doodling.
uick, easy and colorful

Twisted Easel Mickey Card

Hello everyone and welcome to the Sweet Sassy Diva Blogspot.  This week the design team was asked to do a project with Disney/Pixar.  There are so many carts to choose from.  For this project I decided to do a twisted easel card and use Mickey and Friends and Mickey Font to decorate it.
Believe me once you try making a twisted easel card you will be hooked.
The papers are from a Disney stack I got at Joanns.
So here are the directions:
1.  Cut 2 pieces of cardstock- one 6x6 and 1 6x 12.
2.  Fold the 6 x 12 in 1/2

3.   Fold the left side of large piece across to form a triangle.  (I goofed and folded the wrong way but that is fixable as it will be covered with the other piece).  I use my ATG gun to adhere the  6 x 6 piece to the triangle.  Mke sure to line up at bottom so card will close.  Test now before you can't remove it.  I guess I forgot pic of this step but see picture 8.
4.  Here is my mat with cuts from Mickey and Friends page 108 cut at 5 inches.  I did not cut the shadow.
5.  Here is my mat with Oh Boy cut with shadow at 1 inch from Mickey Font.  This was an already designed phrase so I did not have to make words.
6.  I glued my pieces together and added Glossy Accents to eyes and nose.  To the words I did dots and dashed with a Sharpie.
7.  Next I stamped my birthday sentiment and placed it on a 3 1/2 inch cardstock piece.
Then you use pop dots so this piece will hold the easel portion up.
8.  Place the sentiment piece on the bottom of card back so it holds easel in place.
Add other cuts - Doesn't Mickey look so happy.
This is card closed
I added two Mickey buttons I had in my stash.

Sorry this pic is so blurry.
So now you know how to make a twisted easel card.  This is the link to where I got my directions and you will also find directions for double and triple twisted easel cards here.
I can't wait to see what the rest of the Design Team has made this week.  How about you?  Make sure to come back each day to check it out and you are always welcome to stop by
also please come back September 29th and 30th for the

Two double page layouts- Nemo and Hello Kitty

Completed more layouts today following challenges using my Cricut.
The first is for Crazy About Cricut which is to do a project related to a family favorite movie.  While I was helping with new baby we watched an old favorite Finding Nemo.  My oldest granddaughter who is 18 months old likes to touch Nemo on the screen as they have a huge fish tank full of Nemos (clownfish).  This is her taking swimming lessons.  We always tell her to swim like Nemo.  Besides Best of Pixar and Micky Font I used Diamond  Stickles and a Pearl Pen.
The second double page layout I completed was for the Mag Challenge where you to were do a project using only page 65 from Hello Kitty.  Since I couldn't make a title with my Cricut I did it with a pearl pen and made it look like sky writing.

Yipee more layouts done

This layout is of my two ragdoll cats babysitting grandbaby.  They love to watch over her.  The cat is from Cindy Lou and the paper and ribbon I got on clearance at Target in a package.  The title Will work for fish is from Mickey Fonts.
The other two layouts were quick ones using felt cut outs from Michaels last year and flowers for this one.
This one I used some ribbon and some baby cut outs I got on clearance at Michaels.
