Oops, I did it again...

I have to do another catch up post because I just flat didn't do a blog post.  I'm so sorry!  It's been busy, but here we are and it's

HALLOWEEN!

So Trick or Treat and here's what I've been up to.

First up, I did a design team project for Country Craft Creations. This is a great explosion gift box using the We R Memory Keepers Explosion Scoreboard.  The papers are from Echo Park and are called "Fall Fever". The papers and the scoreboard are both  available at Country Craft Creations.

I also used the papers to make this fun flip album using envelopes.  This turned out so cool!

I received another amazing box from Amanda at Your Creative Studio. This one is vintage camera and it is AMAZING!  This is the unboxing, and the new junk journal tutorial is coming soon!

I had this project waiting in the wings for a while.  It's a great way to use scraps...I made this cute Meander book and scraps from previous design team packages.

These projects are shares of some amazing little tutorials from other great creators out there.  There are two new little projects, and links to the other creators are in the video descriptions.

I also did a recap of the projects I made for #sandys13frightsbeforehalloween2022. These cards look so amazing on my haunted desk.

Thanks for watching, and I'll see you soon with other projects.

Stay Crafty my friends!

1 1/4 Sheet Wonder Mini Album Tutorial

I have another tutorial, a design team project for Country Craft Creations, using Carta Bella’s Farmhouse Summer paper collection. This is a fun collection and I know you will love it!

This album is a meander style album but I added a little bit more paper to make it a little bigger. It’s perfect for using up scraps or the 6x6 paper pad that I received with this collection. I also used Artisan Cardstock and seam binding from Country Craft Creations.

Have fun and stay crafty!

Tag Book Tutorial!

I was planning on doing this, but also had requests...so THANK YOU!!!!!  It makes Jackie and I happy when you like our work!!!

I made this book for my Counterfeit Kit Challenge...

It is just a meander style book, and I was planning on making it actually smaller, but I didn't follow the directions, thought I messed up, but then had the "AH HA!!"  It is 4x6" and I decided to make it into a tag shape!!!  It turned out better than I had anticipated!  There are a bazillion types of meander or maze books, this is just my take on it!  I did not invent the original idea, I just modified it!

Choose a 12x12 cardstock or a patterned paper that is double sided and doesn't have a directional pattern.  Score at 6", turn and score at 4" and 8".

Cut on the two red lines only!!!  Just two cuts!!

Fold the bottom right over...then just flip the paper OVER...

...and fold that section up...then just flip the paper OVER...

...and fold the left side over...REPEAT UNTIL IT'S ALL FOLDED.

You will end up with this.  The front page is a single piece, then you will notice the folds give you two places for pockets...the first one I made into a pocket with a top opening, and the second I made into a side opening...then there is a back page.

I just glued the teal lines to create the pockets.

This is the side opening pocket.

All glued, showing the pages and pockets.  The book is now bound.  The left edges are glued or folded.

I then measured in 1" on the left corners and cut a triangle off to create the tag shape.  I used a craft knife to do this, because of the layers of cardstock.  I then used a paper hole drill to make the hole, because you can't have a tag without a hole in it!  It doesn't need a binder of any kind, so I looped a piece of ribbon and tied it loose so that the book would open.  Taa Daa!!!

I am thinking that if you wanted to make it with more pages, just make two or three of these, then attach the back page of the first, to the front page of the second, making another pocket, and then you would have more pages to your book.

I love the size, 4x6" is a great size for a mini!

Have a crafty day!

Meander Book, My Way!

I love these little books, the "Meander Books".  I usually see them in a 3" x 3" size.  But, I thought that I would like one a little different size, so I came up with this one.  It measures 3"wide  x 4" tall, when the covers are added,  it is 3 1/8" x 4 1/4".    I haven't finished decorating and embellishing yet, but will do it soon!
Using this size, it created three "top" pockets and 2 "side" pockets.  I covered some chipboard pieces measuring 3 1/" x 4 1/4", and used these for the covers.  I adhered ribbons between the covers and the first base pages for a closure.  The base paper is cardstock from Martha Stewart, the other papers are from DCWV.  I fell in love with the colors, perfect for a baby boy or a baby girl!  I thought this would make the most adorable brag book for the new Mom or Grandma!!! I made three tall tags for the top pockets, and 4 smaller ones for the side pockets.  These would be awesome for journaling!

Score the 12x12 paper vertically at 3", 6", and 9".  Score horizontally at 4" and 8".  Make your slits on the horizontal lines.  Fold, and adhere the base pieces to create the pockets.  Adhering the pockets creates a binding, so no extra work to do that.  There you have it, a beautiful little book.

Stay Crafty!!
