New Year, New Plan, #CraftyGoals2023

Hi, and welcome to the #Craftygoals2023 collaboration! This is a new adventure I'm starting with a group of crafty women here on YouTube and in Instagram. We are going to share with you how we are making our crafty goals come to life through the year. There will be different topics along the way, and follow-ups to share how we did, what works and what didn't for us, and maybe some hints and tips that will help you.

We are posting on the 1st of every month throughout the year. Please check out the links below for the crafty creators who are participating, and please like and subscribe so you can be notified of all of the posts. Thanks so much for watching, and lets plan to have a crafty year!!! Debbie Alley’s Project39 Mini Albums

Seasonal Craft Planning

I saw a post on Instagram by Magical Plans and I just had to recreate it for myself!  Quite frankly she has a lot of super awesome ideas, and you really should go check her ideas out!

She made a super cute seasonal crafting planner page, and I knew I needed to make one too.  She had two seasons per page, but I decided to make each season on one, that way I could use it for more than one year.

I think that they turned out super cute.  I can't wait to start adding ideas to the pages.

I'm not sure if I am actually going to write on the pages, or use sticky notes on them and then remove them when the project is done.

I used my Happy Planner sticker stash to decorate these pages.

It's Planner Time!

Hello all!

I hope you are all having a good start to your week!  I have been sick, but am now feeling better, FINALLY!  While I was sitting on the couch feeling miserable, I decided to make some planner pages for myself.

The Happy Planner is coming out with a bunch of new things, and I haven't been able to get my hands on them.  I have a ton of the supplies, and I thought I should use them instead of hoarding them!  I grabbed papers, sticker books, and just started making these pages.  I keep them in a book, so that when I need one I can just flip through all of my DIY pages and pick which one suits my needs.

This one is from my Miss Maker sticker book.  I have been working on some swaps an challenges, and I thought this would help keep me organized.

These pages, and the ones below, are made from stickers I don't usually use in my planner.  I use the monthly layout with the lists, and my lists are kind of full.  So, why not make notes pages.  I used stickers from a single book to make each page.

I think they turned out super cute!

There is a half sheet pack that is coming out that has the three top daily priorities.  Since I can't get out, I thought I would recreate my own.  I had all of these half sheets in my stash.  Add stickers, and now I have an assortment of my own sheets.

I used a teacher sticker pack to make this page above.  I thought it would be a great note page.

This page was inspired by my Travel sticker pack and a trip I am planning with my BFF, Jackie, later this year.  It will work great to plan our adventures.

This is a nice page for my yearly aspirations.  Guess I should fill it out!!

Another mermaid note page...I wouldn't use these stickers in my planner, but they sure are cute note pages.

I saw this somewhere, and now I can't remember where.  If I find it I will sure give credit and edit this post.  The lady who originally did this did it for a month at a glance page.  I am sure it will be perfect for this, and for any other list I need to make.

The page above and below are scripture pages that I bought with the purpose of repurposing.  The stickers are pretty self explanatory, and they make a great addition to my DIY page book.

These are assignments pages that I bought, again with the idea of repurposing them.  These make great half sheet planners for specific events.  I even found a sticker that was a perfect party planner.

I know this has been picture heavy, but I wanted to share the ideas.  I love sharing ideas, and I hope that you can use some of them in your Happy Planner.

Planning the New Year!

Good Morning!  I thought that today I would share my planner set up with you. I am a Happy Planner.  I love that it is functional AND creative.  I feel like I am crafting when I work in it, and I work with it every day.

Recently the "Transformer Planner" idea has taken hold, and I decided to try it.  I LOVE IT!  I have, in the past, tried to keep up on several notebooks, and now, it is all in one.  It's very chunky as you can see, but it is awesome, and everything is in one place.  I have 4 planners/sections to it, and I can do it because I only keep 3 months in each one at a time.  If you are unfamiliar with this concept, check out YouTube.  It is full of videos on what it is and how to do it.

Here is my main planner.  This is the Trendsetter that came out last year.  I found two more on clearance at Hobby Lobby, and bought them.  I redated this one to make it good for this year.

The daily to-do sheet is amazing!  I don't have a lot of things to schedule, so I use this primarily for my household stuff like cleaning, extra tasks, work schedules, etc.  I did find, however, that I needed a little extra space sometimes.  I needed something...so I decided to DIY and make some sheets from old planner pages that I didn't use.

I just cut down a sheet and simply inserted it into my book.  This side is for the left page of my planner, and when you turn it, it becomes a note page for the right page of my planner.  I put stickers on the days that have some sort of special thing, such as birthdays, appointments, and the like.  Any notes I need to make, like notes for appointments, phone calls, etc, will go here.  I just started using this concept.  So far I like it!

I'm showing you this spread because I wanted to show you how I redated it.  I made a table in my Pages program, measuring it to fit the planner page.  Then simply cut it out, adhered it, and used number stickers to redate the calendar.  I found the mini calendars for 2019 by Carpe Diem and used them as well.  It came out amazing and now I can use my favorite style of planner for this year as well.  YAY!

The next section of my planner is this one.  It came with the latest Be Happy Box that Mambi promoted.  It came with great goals pages, so I decided this would help me keep focused.

My next section is my fitness planner that I recycled from 2 years ago.  I never liked the pages that came with it originally, so I bought the new fitness pages and am using them for recording my food intake, my weight, blood pressure, etc.  It also has a nice daily section to record some thoughts, progress, etc at the bottom.

Last, but certainly not least, is my MISS MAKER!!!  I am using her to get my crafting fun back in order.  I am planning blog posts, working on projects for myself and for others that have been commissioned.  It has great space to keep everything in place, and it's PRETTY!  She matched the bright colors of my Trendsetter, and I love it.  Of course, after I took the picture below, I filled her out with this weeks adventures in creating, she looks pretty plain here, but believe me, she is full of great fun now.

Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you enjoyed the post.  What does your planner look like?

Stay Crafty!

Fun with my Happy Planner

Hi everyone!  I'm back.  I took a little time off because I was suffering from that awful cold that was going around and then we were out of town on vacation.  But, I'm back, and I'm back with a plan.

I am also very, very, very behind on my posts.  Today I sat down and made a plan about how I was going to get all of my posts done and share them with you.  My plan starts with catching up.  So, even though this is August, I am sharing an April layout with you.  I hope you like it.

I love my Happy Planner, and I decorate it all of the time.  I also love to go to Craft Warehouse and see what kinds of wonderful things they have for me to use in my planner.  These lovely supplies just happened to fall into my basket.  I just had to buy them!

I love how cool this turned out.  Some of the stickers aren't colored...I haven't used them yet, I can't bring myself to try to color them.  I will soon, I hope.

Anyway, just a layout that I thought you would like to see.  Have a wonderful day, and have fun crafting and planning!

Planner Clip Organization

Hi All!  Lately I have been super absorbed in my planner goodies that I haven't done much else.  This time, I was focused on making planner clips and tassels for charms.  I dug into my stash of goodies and found a few items that ended up making some super cute clips.
For most of the clips I tried to find two pieces that mirrored each other so that both sides of the clips were pretty.  I just glued them together at the top of the clip and it was done!  Super easy.
Here is the tassel that I made.  I hooked it into the rings of my Happy Planner.  I think it provides a really nice little piece of pretty for my planner.
This is a look at some of my stuff on one of my bookshelves.  My other planners and notebooks live here.  Then theres this nice little organizer...
It holds all of my other fun paper clips that I have collected over the years.  They are nice and organized!  But then I thought I needed to organize the really fun and bulky clips that I have.  So, I came up with the idea below.
I took a 3 ring binder and some thick plastic tabbed dividers.  I cut slits in the pages and just placed my clips in an organized fashion on the pages.  Super easy peasy!
I made those button clips years ago.
I got into making tasseled paper clips a little while ago, here is my collection.
Some of these I didn't make.
Here starts my collection of tabbed/bookmark style clips.

Staying organized is a huge part of the planner game.  Now I know where all of my cool clips are and I can find them easy.

Stay organized, and thanks for coming by to see me!

My Altered Disk Bound Notebook

I am a planner and notebook junkie, we all know that.  I was at my local Craft Warehouse, and they had a bunch of Carpe Diem planner stuff on sale.  I loved the line that The Reset Girl did and I had some of it already.  I bought more.  Then, while I was at an all day crop with Embellish It! I found a paper pack for the same line.  I bought that too.  This is what I did with some of it.

I took some of the 12x12 papers, and created covers using my laminator.  I backed the paper with some card stock to thicken it up a bit.
Then I simply cut slices up to the holes in the papers, dividers, and die cuts.  I used some Happy Planner disks that I had in my stash.
Now I have a hybrid Reset Girl-Carpe Diem/Happy Planner notebook, and it is COOL!
The pages turn excellent on these disks.  It worked out better than I had thought.
You may have wondered why I just didn't get the planner that Carpe Diem had.  Well, I wanted to try this!!!
I love the colors and the images.  I love the vintage style.
I have loved the disk bound ever since I discovered it, and now I love it even more!

Have you tried this system?

My Large Happy Notebook

My local Michaels was having a huge discount on all dated Happy Planners, getting ready for the new ones to show up.  I decided to make a project.  I loved the colors in this style, and it matched perfectly with the collection of My Minds Eye papers that I had in my stash.
I didn't need another planner, but I can always use a notebook, so I took out all of the dated pages.  Then I cut the 12x12 papers to fit, and adhered them to tiebacks of the dividers.  This covered them up, and the COLORS ARE PERFECT!!!

I had some labels from Art C that I used to cover the month names on the tabs.  Now I can label them as I need to.
 Add in some paper...
...and a pocket or two, and you have a super cool, colorful and wonderful notebook.
I used some of the scraps and my We Are Memory Keepers tab punch and made a page turner.

The notebook turned out FABULOUS!  Now to figure out what to do with the blank weekly pages!

Stay organized!
