Check out these stash busters!

This was fun to do!  While I am waiting for the mail to deliver my next design team project I decided to dive into the scraps...and I mean scraps...of my past design team projects and create some fun things.

These paper collections aren't available in the Country Craft Creations store anymore, as they are older collections, but there are many many more collections to be had.  You can use any and all scraps you have to do some really fun things.

Thanks for watching and I'll see you soon with more tutorials.

Stay crafty, my friends.

Masquerade Mini Album Tutorial

Good day to you all!!!

I have the tutorial available for my latest mini album.  This is a design team project that I did for     Country Craft Creations.  I am using Authentique's "Masquerade" paper collection and I think you are going to love it!  I had some fun coming up with a couple of new ideas, and I have incorporated one of my other waterfall assemblies from a previous project in it.  There are a ton of places for photos!

The video is a little on the long side, but it is worth the time...you will love this album.  I love, love, LOVE Halloween, and this paper was a JOY to work with.  You can find the video tutorial here.

Along with the "Masquerade" paper collection and Authentique's Spectrum (black, that I used for the large pocket tags) from Country Craft Creations, I also used Artisan cardstock in black and brown, chipboard, Scoretape sheets, Art Glitter Glue, and Seam Binding.  The flowers, bling, and the frame on the cover were from my stash...from Recollections and Tim Holtz.  The cover frame will hold a 4 x 6 photo.

Below are pictures of the cutting guide, and I also have a cutting list as well.  You will need at least 7 sheets of patterned paper (that is what I used, more may be needed depending on how you cut it!), 14 sheets of black and 5 sheets of brown. I try to the absolute best of my abilities to keep a count of all that is used, but I am human, so I apologize if there is an error.  If you notice something or have questions, please let me know!

I hope you enjoy the tutorial and make the album.  It will be a fun one to look through in the years to come.

Happy Halloween!!!

Please note:  There are cutting guides for BLACK and BROWN cardstock.  Photos 1-10 are Black, then after there are photos 1-3 for Brown.

Hooray Easel Album Tutorial

HELLO!!!

Today I have the tutorial for my Hooray Easel Album! This is my 3rd design team project for Country Craft Creations using Authentique's adorable "Hooray" paper collection! I was also given Carta Bella's "Dots" papers, which matched PERFECTLY with the papers. This album was designed with the thought of documenting the first 10 birthdays in a child's life, but there are so many other things you can do with this album!! I give a list of ideas in the video.

Along with the papers mentioned above, I used 9 sheets of denim Artisan Cardstock, 3 Ivory Artisan Cardstock, and a lot of the patterned paper scraps. I estimate that if you were to use patterned paper for the entire project instead of utilizing scraps you would need about 6-7 sheets. You will also need book rings (at least 1 1/4"), eyelets (optional), seam binding for the closure, and Art Glitter Glue. You can get the papers, glue and seam binding at Country Craft Creations.

Below is a cutting list for the cardstock and the mats with the papers needed, if you do choose to do the pages as I did in the video.

Thanks for watching. Let me know if you have any questions. Stay safe and stay crafty!

Chipboard: 2 at 7 1/2 x 5 1/2

Below are specific cuts for the pages, making the mats and patchwork pieces of patterned papers as I did in the video. This is optional, and you can do the pages however you wish.

Photomats are cut from Ivory cardstock.

A New Tutorial...Banner Album with a Box!!

Good morning!  I hope you all are having a great day!  Today, it's TIME TO PARTY!!

I got my design team package from COUNTRY CRAFT CREATIONS and it is WONDERFUL!
I received Authentique's "Hooray" paper collection and it is wonderful! It is beautiful, the colors are amazing, it has the vintage vibe, AND it can be used for kids and adults!

I chose to go with the adult themed project for my first one, and I have created this

It is a decorative banner to hang for a party for folks "over a certain age"...
It is an album, in TWO WAYS!  First, there are photo mats on the back of the banner, AND there are booklets IN THE BANNER!!!
It also folds up into a nice box for storage on your bookshelf when the party is over, but you can take it out the following year and decorate with it again!!!
Please check out my tutorial on YouTube and see how EASY this is to put together!!  Below I have a list of the supplies you will need.

Also please go to COUNTRY CRAFT CREATIONS to get your supplies!  You can find the Artisan Cardstock that I used, the patterned paper by Authentique ("Hooray") , the seam binding and the Art Glitter Glue!

Gather up your supplies and let's have some fun!

Thanks for stopping by.  BE SAFE AND STAY CRAFTY!!

Michelle

What to do with your leftover paper packaging

Good afternoon!  I have come by today to share with you my ideas for using up leftover paper packaging.
I used this kit by Authentique some time ago to create an album.  The first in that tutorial series can be found here.    I had the leftover packaging, and I loved the images, so I kept it, knowing that I would use it in an additional project.
I also had these stickers leftover.
I grabbed my box of leftovers from Artisan Cardstock (from Country Craft Creations) and started creating.
These are just a few of the things I did with this paper.  On YouTube I have a short video ( > 6 minutes) in which I talk about how I did these, and other things that I made.

I hope you like it and I hope you have a crafty day!!!

Purebred Folio Tutorial

Hello, and good morning.  I have the tutorial available for my Purebred Folio available on YouTube today!  This is my 3rd design team project for Country Craft Creations.
I am using Authentique's "Purebred" paper collection and you will LOVE IT!  It is sooooooo pretty!
This is a fun folio with a lot of space to put your pictures of your beloved pets.
It includes waterfall pocket features and an expandable envelope among other fun interactions.
It also features a few new rethinkings  (is that a word?) of closures that you won't want to miss.

Head on over to YouTube for the tutorial here.

Head on over to Country Craft Creations for your supplies here.

Below is the Cutting Guide in pictures, and following is a list of the pieces/supplies needed.

B  1 at 3 1/2 x 8
Envelope Sides 2 at 3 x 5 3/8

Notes:

On the blog there will be a cutting guide to aid in the cutting of the card stock.  I used a total of 13 pieces of card stock, 7 in Grey and 6 in Kraft.  I used approximately 13 full sheets of 12 x 12 patterned paper (which included 3 of the Authentique Spectrum papers).  The cut parts are not included in the paper count.  I added more Kraft and Grey card stock for mats on the outer covers, spines, and for various cut aparts (not included in the total card stock count.)  II also used 3 large magnets and 14 lengths of seam binding (12” in length each).  If you only use two strands to do the folio closure (I used 6, 3 on each side), then the count would be 10 lengths.  I give this information to the best of my ability, and tried to keep track of the amount of supplies used.  If you have questions please let me know.

Thanks for stopping by and have a crafty day!
