REMINDER: Channing Tatum’s ‘Dear John’ Premieres in Korea, Australia, and Thailand

When Chan's movies start releasing outside of the US, they often create new versions of the posters. I'm using the three new Korean posters created for his latest film, 'Dear John', to remind all of Channing Tatum's Fabulous Fans in Korea, Australia, and Thailand that the movie just premiered in your countries THIS WEEK!!!

'Dear John' tells the story of John (Channing Tatum), a young soldier home on leave and Savannah Curtis (Amanda Seyfried), the idealistic college student he meets during her spring vacation. It's based on a Nicholas Sparks' best-selling book, helmed by Lasse Hallström, written by Jamie Linden, and wrapped filming in the Charleston, South Carolina area in December of 2008.

CHANNING TATUM VIDEOS OF THE WEEK: Exclusive 'Dear John' Clips

Today's Videos of the Week are exclusives clips from Channing Tatum's upcoming romantic drama 'Dear John' (which hits theaters on February 5th) and a couple of new interviews that Chan did during the LA press junket the weekend of January 9th. Thanks to Sony for sending me the clips that were debuted on Hulu, AOL, Myspace, and Fandango earlier this week. Enjoy!

I'm really excited, because Sony also created an CTU exclusive 'Dear John' trailer for Chan's Twitter followers. A link to that video is being direct messaged to his top followers as I type this. I'll post that clip soon and want to give a big thanks to Sony for creating the trailer for us.

Incredibly, Chan now has almost 155,000 followers on his official Twitter. To celebrate, we're going to have a live Q&A via Twitter next week while Chan is on the press tour that starts tomorrow, so get your 'Dear John' questions ready and stay tuned! The live Q&A could happen at ANY time, and Sony has sent us some cool swag, so we have a few pretty cool prize packs to giveaway in conjunction with the Q&A too!

The wait is OVER CTU readers!!! Sony has finally released the official trailer for Channing Tatum and Amanda Seyfried's highly-anticipated romantic drama 'Dear John', and I can't stress enough how in love I am with this trailer!!! So worth the wait!

'Dear John' tells story of John Tyree (Channing Tatum), a young soldier home on leave, and Savannah Curtis (Amanda Seyfried), the idealistic college student he falls in love with during her spring vacation.

Over the next seven tumultuous years, the couple is separated by John's increasingly dangerous deployments. While meeting only sporadically, they stay in touch by sending a continuous stream of love letters overseas--correspondence that eventually triggers fateful consequences.

New Official Poster and Trailer for Channing Tatum's 'Dear John'

Via Cinematical.com, Screen Gems has released the official poster for Channing Tatum and Amanda Seyfried's romantic drama 'Dear John', which will hit theaters on February 5, 2010.

The movie tells the story of John (Channing Tatum), a young soldier home on leave and Savannah Curtis (Amanda Seyfried), the idealistic college student he meets during her spring vacation.

'Dear John' is based on a Nicholas Sparks book by the same name, helmed by Lasse Hallström, written by Jamie Linden, and wrapped filming in the Charleston, South Carolina area in December 2008.

As an extra treat, CTU readers from around the world who are members of the Channing Tatum Unwrapped Official Fan Club can now view one of the four trailers for the film that was used for a Screen Gems Show Reel launched in Cancun 2009 to promote upcoming movies. The trailer is beautiful and gets me even more excited about this film!!!

UPDATE (10/14/2009): I'm now learning from Sony that the trailer I found was unofficial, so I needed to pull it down for now. They let me know that the official trailer will be available exclusively on AOL tomorrow and that fans will be able to download it from Sony's website this Friday. Sorry guys, but just one more day to wait.

NEWS FLASH: Jenna Dewan's 'Falling Awake' Gets Picked Up by IFC

After making the film festival rounds, Jenna Dewan's independent film 'Falling Awake' was scheduled to have a limited released in select theaters in New York City, Miami and Puerto Rico on September 18, 2009. I was excited to learn today that the film has now been picked up by the Independent Film Channel (aka IFC). The movie will release on a later date, but I and many other fans that may or may not live in the above-mentioned cities will now be able to watch 'Falling Awake' when it hits the small screen.

Here's what the film's all about...

"'Falling Awake' is the powerful story of Jay (Andrew Cisneros), a young man struggling to find his identity in The Bronx in a house crowded with family members and a neighborhood filled with loyal friends and dangerous enemies. A gifted musician, Jay hopes to leave it all and pursue his dream of composing and performing music. Once he meets Alessandra (Jenna Dewan), a beautiful young woman who lives in Brooklyn, his determination to defy the expectations of his frustrated, angry father become even stronger.

Jay is tied to his home through loyalty to his friends and to his brother, who has returned unexpectedly from service in the Marines. As he reaches toward a wider world, he is pulled back over and over by the cycles of anger and violence that have defined his life and neighborhood for so long. It takes love, a change of heart and a new understanding of life's elusive chance at happiness to finally help Jay make the long, uncertain leap to a fresh chance."

'Falling Awake' is directed by Agustin, produced by Andrew Adelson, and is Mega Films first English-language film. In addition to starring Jenna Dewan, the movie also introduces the talented Mexican-American actor/singer/songwriter Andrew Cisneros. Other notable cast members include Nestor Serrano ('Bad Boys', '24'), Julie Carmen ('The Milagro Beanfield War'), Nicholas Gonzalez ('Resurrection Boulevard'), Flaco Navaja ('Fighting'), Michael Rivera ('Fighting') and rap artist Kazi Rolle. The movie also features original music by Kevin Stuart and Andrew Cisnero.

"This film is about real people, real everyday struggles, and real love," said Agustin, the film's director and writer. "I knew the Bronx would be a natural setting that speaks to people no matter where they're from. We had an amazing experience making this movie and I hope audiences will feel the emotion and truth in it when they see the film."

NEWS FLASH: ‘Magdalena’ Update and Jenna Dewan’s ‘American Virgin’ Releases on DVD in the UK

Channing Tatum's wife Jenna Dewan is currently busy studying her scripts and filming the nighttime drama "Melrose Place". US fans have to wait until episodes 7 and 8 later this season to check out Jenna in her new role, but UK fans get to see Jenna in one of her latest movies even sooner.

Jenna Dewan stars in the teen comedy 'American Virgin' with veteran comedian Rob Schneider and fans in the UK will be able to get the film on DVD and Blu-ray next month.

'American Virgin' is about a freshman college girl named Priscilla White (played by Jenna). After involuntarily over indulging and becoming drunk for the first time in her life, she discovers her sinful shenanigans have been caught on camera by a shoddy video producer (played by Rob Schneider). With her scholarship for college coming from an abstinence group who believe in no sex before marriage, it's a race against time and across country as she and her friends attempt to retrieve the potentially damaging footage before it's exposed.

Hollywood Spy also recently posted an article about one of Jenna's upcoming projects. Her 2010 live action film ‘Magdalena‘ is based on a popular Top Cow comic book. In the film, Patience (Jenna) discovers that she’s a part of the lineage of female warriors descended from Mary Magdalene who fight supernatural evil. The film also stars Luke Goss who plays Kristof, an agent sent by the secret organization that has been the guardian of the Magdalena lineage.

NEWS FLASH: New Photos and Video of Channing Tatum at 'G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra' London Press Event

The huge press tour for Channing Tatum's 'G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra' hit stop number two today and showed up on London's River Thames, much like they did in Australia's Sydney Harbour earlier this week.

The cast got a little more than they bargained for as they arrived at the press event held at London’s HMS Belfast via inflatable boat. Chan tweets...

"Still wet from our ride with the royal marines in boat doing a stunt for GI Joe press! LOL"

The cast go soaked, but still managed to take some great photos for the press. You can check them out in the slideshow below...

As you can see in the adorable pic below that Jen just tweeted, our favorite couple Chenna is currently on their way to Berlin and then it's off to Paris, Tokyo (July 27th), Seoul (July 28th), New York (August 1st and 2nd), and finally, the 'G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra' red carpet premiere in Los Angeles on August 6th. Check back daily for photos and appearance information from the events!!!

In addition to the photo, Jen tweets some details about their quick Honeymoon after their July 11th wedding. She says it was...

"Beautiful but Chan got soooo sick..so our mini moon was really like 2 days..we got tattoos though! "side by side" in Balinese"

And all of this on a day where Chan tweets, "I miss you my wife." from the press event? **melts** I'm really loving the fact that Chenna is tweeting now, and it has to be said the Chan and Jenna are absolutely the cutest couple I've ever seen in my life!!!

NEWS FLASH: Check Out the New Contest and HBO Special for Channing Tatum's 'Public Enemies'

One critic who recently screened Channing Tatum's highly-anticipated historical drama 'Public Enemies' raved about the film saying it "is glorious and levitational -- the most captivating, beautifully composed and freshly conceived gangster movie since Bonnie and Clyde. Bank Raids offers a pretty intricate, yet simple, game play experience where you can rob banks, recruit gang members, buy guns, increase your notoriety, and hopefully avoid the long arm of the law.

Paramount Pictures just sent me five new high resolution character posters for Duke, Snake Eyes, Ripcord, Baroness, and Storm Shadow for Channing Tatum's upcoming action movie G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra'. You can check out all of the new posters in the slideshow below. Enjoy!

I also wanted to let you know about a newly released extended TV Spot for the film. In addition to other new footage, Paramount has added a really funny bit between Channing Tatum and Marlon Wayans at the end of the trailer. The story of 'G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra' revolves around a military unit known as Global Integrated Joint Operating Entity (G.I.J.O.E.), which is a hi-tech, international force of special operatives that takes on an evil organization named Cobra.

Directed by Stephen Sommers, the action-adventure stars Channing Tatum as Duke, Sienna Miller as The Baroness, Ray Park as Snake Eyes, Marlon Wayans as Ripcord, Brendan Fraser as Gung Ho, Rachel Nichols as Scarlett, Karolina Kurkova as Cover Girl, Byung-Hun Lee as Storm Shadow, Dennis Quaid as Hawk, Christopher Eccleston as Destro, Arnold Vosloo as Zartan, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Heavy Duty, and Saïd Taghmaoui as Breaker.
