Channing Tatum Videos of the Week: Channing Tatum in 'CSI:Miami' (aka Les Experts a Miami in France)

What is even more sexy than Channing Tatum? Not much, but how about Channing Tatum playing a bad boy AND speaking French? I found these two videos on YouTube from the French version of 'CSI: Miami' which is known as 'Les Experts a Miami' in France. Channing played a thug by the name of Bob Davenport in this 2004 episode called 'Pro Per'.

Do I speak French? Nope. Do I NEED to speak French to appreciate Channing in today's Videos of the Week? Not as far as I'm concerned. Enjoy!

Channing Tatum's Biography Added to About.com

Months ago when I started this blog, I sent an email to About.com asking that they add a Channing Tatum Biography to their site. They had numerous articles on him, but it baffled me that they had no biography for some reason.

I am happy to say that they have finally added Channing Tatum's biography to the site. I think that it is a good synopsis and the only major thing I see missing is his upcoming movie Dear John. Also, the article says he attended military school, but Channing said that he did not in the MovieJungle.com article I posted on the blog recently (Thanks, Amy!).

Birth Date : April 26, 1980

Role That Really Got Channing Tatum Noticed :
In the coming-of-age drama A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints (2006), Tatum appeared in his first dramatic role as Antonio, opposite Robert Downey, Jr., Dianne Wiest and Shia LaBeouf. He received positive buzz about his performance after the films' showing at the Sundance Film Festival and was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award as Best Supporting Male for the film.

TV Credit of Note :
In a 2004 episode of CSI Miami Tatum played the role of Bob Davenport.

Interesting Trivia :
Tatum has earned Martial Arts belts in both Kung Fu and Gor-Chor Kung Fu. It was his casting as a dancer in Ricky Martin's "She Bangs" music video that got Tatum noticed by the modeling world. In 2001, Tear Sheet magazine picked Tatum as one of the "50 Most Beautiful Faces."

Biography :
April 2007 - Born Channing Matthew Tatum, it's no wonder he goes by the nickname of Chan. Tatum was raised near Birmingham, Alabama. He loved the bayous, adventure and sports. When football, track, baseball and soccer failed to keep him on track, Tatum's parents sent him to military school in ninth grade. [This is actually not correct. Click here to read the interview where Channing refutes the military school rumor.] The move paid off. Passionate about football, Tatum earned a full athletic college scholarship to Glenville State College in West Virginia.

Tatum left college and worked in construction and real estate before he began a modeling career; appearing in ads for Abercrombie & Fitch, Armani, Aeropostale, Emporio, Gap and Nautica. His striking and unique good looks didn't go unnoticed, and Tatum was soon making TV commercials in ads for Pepsi, American Eagle and Mountain Dew.

Sprouting his wings, Tatum auditioned for and landed four small film roles in 2005. In Havoc he played one of the background characters. In Coach Carter he played the street smart basketball player, Jason Lyle, opposite Samuel L. Jackson. He portrayed a top motocross racer in Supercross and had a small unaccredited part in War of the Worlds.

Tatum seemed perfect to play the love interest of Amanda Bynes's character in She's the Man (2006). Step Up, however, that same year, seemed to be the turning point of his career. Tatum played a lead in the film, a rebel from the wrong side of the tracks who lands in big trouble and is rescued by a privileged ballet dancer (Jenna Dewan). A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints, his next movie, garnered him an Independent Spirit Award.

Two new films are further accentuating Tatum's acting strengths. In Kimberly Peirce's Stop Loss, Tatum plays Jared - opposite Ryan Phillippe - in a story about a soldier returning back home to Texas after fighting in Iraq and refusing a government mandate to return to battle. Tatum will play Johnson, an activist protesting the 1999 World Trade Organization meeting in Seattle, in Stuart Townsend's Battle In Seattle.

In Parkour, a film in production, Tatum will portray a renegade New York City cop who must infiltrate the world of bank robbers.

I am happy to say that, as far as I know, Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan are still dating. This has been confirmed recently by a close friend of the couple and they were also seen together this past weekend hanging out with fans in California.

Are Channing and Jenna engaged?!? (Yeah... So cool...)

Sadly, I have not been able to confirm that Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan are engaged. Here is what I do know...I have read that they have been living together for a while now. The engagement rumors started when people began seeing the couple wearing what looked like engagement rings on their left ring fingers and you rarely see them anywhere without them on. I definitely hope that they are engaged. Chenna is my absolute favorite celebrity couple, and they seem to be perfect for each other.

So I know like almost everything about Channing but in all the
stuff I've read they have never mentioned if he has siblings. Does he?
I think I saw that he has a step brother or sister but does he have any

Although I have read a lot of different things online, I have only been able to "confirm" that Channing has one older sister. I don't know her age and I don't know if she is a step sister or not.

Channing Tatum Trivia Question of the Day Followup Answer

Because you pretty much had to have a copy of Channing's CSI episode "Pro Per" on DVD (or Tivo like me) to get this answer, I knew this question would be a tiny bit more difficult to hunt down. Although the answer took a little longer to come in than usual, I was once again impressed by my reader's ability to get the job done in less than 24 hours.
