Cute Card Thursday - No Text!

This week over on the Cute Card Thursday Challenge Blog our theme is NO Text!. We want to see your cards with no sentiment or text anywhere on them. For my card I have used a Woodware stamp called Large Cupcake that I got at the NEC in March. I have coloured it with Copics using the following colours...
R00/R01/R37/R39/E47/E49/E50/E51/YG03/Y17/R22
The papers are all PaperMania Little Cake Shoppe layered with some Bazzill Kraft cardstock. I cut the doily using a Cherry Lyn die called English Tea Party, you can get it HERE on pre-order from Dies to Die For. I have embellished with some Stampin' Up Choc Chip taffeta ribbon, a few pins and some pearl bling. The image has also been decoupaged (the ribbon and the cupcake topping) and I added some Stickles to make it sparkle.

Be sure to check out our challenge this week to be in with a chance of winning FIVE digi images from Pink Cat Studio...all you need to do is make a card/project with NO TEXT on.

Friday Sketchers - Sketch 27 by Kristine of Norway

Over on Friday Sketchers this week there is a fab sketch provided by Kristine from Norway, and as always some gorgeous DT cards to inspire you.

For my card I have used the new Magnolia Tilda as Lucia stap that I received on Thursday. I have coloured her with ProMarkers using the following colours...
Ivory/Blush (Skin)
Pastel Yellow/Mustard/Gold (Hair)
Blush (Wreath in hair)
Ruby (Sash around waist)
Gold (Flame of candle)
Pastel Blue (Shadow)
I have also added some cool grey 1 highlights to the white dress, and Sakura clear glitter gel pen on her hair and the flame of the candle. I also used the big "Silent Night" background having masked Tilda before I stamped it. The card I used was Stampin' Up Choc Chip, and the patterned paper is from the DCWV 6x6 paper pad. To embellish the card I added three layers ofPrima Blossoms attached with a brad and spacer, and added some Sakura clear glitter gel pen to make it sparkle. The ribbon is also by Stampin' Up and is the Choc Chip Taffeta, with a gold heart pin through it with an added tag that I punched with a new punch I bought by Woodware. Finally I added a sentiment from Studio G "Merry Christmas, and the "Angel" is from a mini set by Woodware, and also gently inked the background of the stamped image with Versa Magic chalk ink in "wheat", as the white cardstock was just too white and stood out too much.

I am really pleased with how it turned out, and I am loving that "Silent Night" background stamp....

Friday Sketchers - Sketch 11

The sketch this week over on Friday Sketchers was a lovely simple one. I so badly wanted to use one of the Sugar Nellie Halloween stamps from the set and this seemed like a nice sketch to use it with. My fave from the set of stamps was the "mummy" one. I have used an image sent to me by a friend (I didn't buy them as this was the only one I wanted) and the sentiment is by Woodware. I have used Prima "Angelique" papers with a piece of black ribbon that came from an old ScrapaGoGo kit. The image is coloured simply with Primacolor's and blended with Sansador using paper stumps.

Thanks for another great sketch ladies.

Have a Monster Birthday...

This one was also made for an order. The lady saw him done with brown hair but wanted blonde hair....so thanks to a lovely lady that sent me some stamped images (as I don't have this particular Hanglar & StAnglar stamp) I managed to produce this.
The original card never had the little monster on...he was a little cute addition.

So I used a stamped image from Hanglar & StAnglar and the monster is by Woodware stamps as is the sentiment. The papers are K&Co "Hopscotch Boy", and the ribbon is by American Craft. I used my black pen to add a tie so that it looks like the boy is walking the little monster.

More Cards by Caz...

So I was busy making cards again last night, and here they are. I came up with this idea after seeing what my 9 year old nephew did with my stamps at the weekend. He made a little story book. So here is mine...the Knight is a Sugar Nellie, the Monsters are Woodware, the clouds and bird are Mindys Zoo by Autumn Leaves, the tree is by Stampendous, papers are Basic Grey "Phoebe". The sun was cut on my Cricut from the DoodleCharms cartridge, and finally I used by ATB tape writer to add "Happy Birthday".

This one is inspired by a card on saw on Patsy's blog. I used the Bunny Tilda along with Basic Grey "Phoebe" papers, American Craft ribbon, Doodlebug buttons, and my Cricut (New Arrivals cartridge) for the "Sweet" & "Baby". I wasn't happy with the balance of the card until I added the ribbon and sweet...then it seemed to work.

This one was made using another Tilda....can't remember what it's called. But again I used Basic Grey "Phoebe", Doodlebug button and ATB tape writer for "Happy Birthday". I made the flower using circles of the "Phoebe" patterned paper, distressed, sanded and inked.

More crafting is planned for this afternoon as it has started to rain...so no going to the park for us. Caz
