Some Odd Girl Challenge - Easel Card!

Gosh I am so late posting this card up....Have had a lot of family stuff going on, so my blog has felt somewhat neglected....
Here is the card I made for our challenge over on the Some Odd Girl Blog....our challenge is Easel Cards. I decided in my usual fashion to turn mine into an Easel Card Calendar. I used Roller Mae which I have coloured with Copics. The papers are all My Minds Eye Kraft Funday - Happy Days, which I layered with some Bazzill Kraft cardstock. I have embellished with some Doodlebug stitched ribbon in swimming pool, a couple of red heart pins a button with string tied through it and a couple of Create with TLC sentiments and a DoCrafts Calendar.

Be sure to go and check out the challenge HERE...you still have over a week to enter...

Easel Card Calendars...

Here are a few Easel Card Calendars that I made in December to sell on my stall at Georgia's school Christmas Fayre. I actually sold all but three of the ten I made...which I was pretty pleased with. I also took and order and sold four others. If I remember correctly the Hello Kitty and the Tiddly Inks Doughnut ones were the first two to sell. I also made a couple of others as gifts....

LOTV Sneak Peek...

Here is just a quickie post showing you a sneak peek of one of the new Lili of the Valley images being released in January....isn't it just adorable...

The papers I used on this Easel Card Calendar are by GCD Studios "Paris Nights".

I have made about 11 Easel Card Calendars so far...and sold all but two of them at the school Christmas Fayre.

I have more stuff to show you that I did just before Xmas, but my bad back has kept me from the computer for all but about 15 minutes per day. It is getting better so I am now getting back into my craft room for a short while each day.

Lili of the Valley Challenge - A Sketch by Dena

This week over on the Lili of the Valley Challenge Blog we have a sketch provided by Dena. For my card I have used one of the die-cut squares...they are just so perfect when you have lots of things to make and need an instant and glorious fix of LOTV. I decided to make one of my Easel Card Calendars as I am having a Craft Stall at my DD's school Christmas Fayre tomorrow....and have so many things left to finish off.

Anyay, I have used some gorgrous GCD Paris Nights papers that have shimmer....and are just divine, you can get it HERE from Tracy @ Dies to Die For. I have added a flower I made with my Magnolia Doo-Hickey Peony Petals available HERE also. I have added a blingy centre that I got at the NEC in November, an Anita's calendar, and a freebie sentiment from TLC Creations.

Be sure to pop over to both the Challenge Blog to see the other DT creations and also to the Ideas to Inspire Blog as there are some fab prizes on offer in the 12 Days of Christmas Giveaway.

Cute Card Thursday - Texting Crazy!

This week over on the Cute Card Thursday Challenge Blog our theme is "Texting Crazy!". We want to see your cards and projects that feature a sentiment as a main design element. I decided to get a head start on all the Easel Card Calendars that I have to make and made an Alice in Wonderland themed one. The image is by Tiddly Inks called Time for Tea and I have coloured her with Copics using the following colours...
Skin - E000/E00/E11/R20
Hair - E50/E53/E55
Clothing - B21/B23/Y21/C0/C2
The papers are all Stampin' Up amd I have layered with some Doodlebug Sugar Coated cardstock in black. I have added a Do Crafts calendar, a heart pin, spotted bow, black and red bling and some black and red hearts punched with my Stampin' Up punch. I also added a Queen of Hearts playing card from a cheap pack that I got at Tescos ages ago. The sentiment itself is actually a line Alice says in the movie....you can see a closer picture below...
Be sure to check out the challenge this week over on the Cute Card Thursday blog.

Crafty Angels Weekly Challenge - Can You Feel It!

This weeks challenge over on Crafty Angels Weekly Challenge Blog has been set by Sandie, and the theme she has chosen is "Can You Feel It!", she wants to see texture on your cards or projects.

For my project I have made another Easel Card Calendar. I have used DCWV "La Creme" 8x8 paper stack. This pad includes some gorgeous flocked papers....including the one I have used for the front of my calendar. I have also added some satin ribbon, a marabou feather, a pearl pin, sentiment by Craftwork Cards (circle one). I have used my Nestie labels to cut the shields for the front and the stamp I used on the inside is by Technique Tuesday "Loving Words" by Ali Edwards.
Here is a view from another angle, as you can see it is decorated on all sides...

Squiggle Easel Card Calendar

By now you will have noticed that I have made a few of these Easel Card Calendars....so here is another that I made with one of the new Squiggle Stamps coming later this month. She is called Chatty Girl. I have coloured her with Copics using the following colours...
Skin - E000/E00/E11/R20
Hair - E50/E51/E53
Clothing - Y21/YG03/BG11/BG13/R05
The papers are DCWV from "The Doodlin' Around Stack", and I have layered them with some red cardstock that is in the Provocraft pad for the Cricut. I cut some of the words out of the paper and mounted them onto 3D foam so that the calendar would stay up when opened. All I added to that was a calendar.

The papers are all by Little Yellow Bicycle "Love letters", as are the stickers and chipboard (which is gorgeous and flocked). I added some dotty black ribbon to create a pen holder. The image is a digi stamp by The Greeting Farm that I have coloured with Copics using the following colours...

Anya Ink - Black & White Plus One

Here is another Easel Card Calendar that I have made for this weeks challenge over on Anya Ink. There theme this week is Black & White plus one other colour. Cute Card Thursday - All New!

This week over on the Cute Card Thursday Challenge Blog our theme is "All New!". We want you to make a card or project featuring something new. It can be new stash, new baby, new job, new school term, new year.....whatever "NEW" you can think of. This week we are sponsored by the lovely Kimmie of Kraftin' Kimmie's Stamps, and she has kindly donated a prize of three stamps of the winners choice....and that includes the new release due out on January 10th...how cool is that.

So onto my project...
For this week I have made another Easel Card Calendar. There is no stamped image this time, as I made it for Georgia's techer and gave it to her on Monday. The papers are all DCWV "Grade School", and my theme is...New Year (2010 Calendar) and New School Term. I have embellished this one by adding some small records cards that I cut down and attached with a paper clip to make a little note pad. I cut the parts of the papers up to add "I Love My Teacher", "Back to School" and also the apple and the A+. The owl, apple and the tag are 3D embellishments also from DCWV. The gingham ribbon on the left is to hold a pen so that when she needs one...it will always be there.

Here is a photo from the side to show that it is decorated on all side...even the bottom.

Georgia's teacher loved it, and it now has pride of place on her desk (along with a card I made for her on Georgia's first day).

Be sure to hop on over to the Cute Card Thursday blog to see the rest of the DT's fab creations...and also our Guest DT Norma.

Lili of the Valley - Thank You!

This week over on the Lili of the Valley Challenge Blog our theme is "Thank You". We want to see your thank you cards or projects. For my card I have made another Easel Card Calendar...got to use those calendars up...lol

The image is by Lili of the Valley and is called "Teddy with Bouquet". I have coloured him with Copics using the following colours...
Bear - E30/E31/E33/E35
Bouquet - BG10/BG11/BG13/R02/R04
The papers are DCWV "Doodlin' Around" and I have just embellished with a couple of Craftwork Cards sentiments, some pearl bling from my stash, and a calendar by Anita's.

People are always telling me that they hate to put away the cards that I have made them...so by adding a calendar I have made the card functional for the whole year...

Here is an image from the side showing that it is decorated inside and out...and even on the bottom.
Be sure to pop over to see what the rest of the DT have come up with. Today I also received the new Spring images, so keep popping back here as I will have some sneak peeks to show you....they are so cute, you will be unable to resist them...

Be sure to pop back later to see my card for this weeks challenge on Cute Card Thursday.

Easel Card Calendar...

Back in September last year I bought some little calendars by Anita's from The Range and I suddenly remembered that I hadn't made the calendars that I planned with Georgia. So in a bid to not waste them, I have been busily making Easel Card Calendars. So far I have made five, and here are two of them. You will see some of the others later in the week...

This first one is using DCWV "The Doodle Around Stack" and I have just added a little bear cut with my Go-Kreate dies and a bit of ribbon and bling, plus of course I made her a little notepad. The idea of the ribbons is to that she can tie a pen to it. The theme of this one is school...September 2 July, Monday 2 Friday.
Here it is from the side....
This one was for my friends Lynsey. I have used some gorgeous WRMK "Tiffanys" papers that are gorgeous and all glittered. I have also added some chipboard letters saying "It's a Date" plus a couple of chipboard flowers covered in bling and a crocheted flower and a fabric flower. Again I have added some ribbon so that she can tie a pen on.
Here is a side view.

I am still so thankfully that the fabby DawnyP sent me an Easel card for Christmas...so that I could work out how to make one...LOL

Today is so bitterly cold, with snow forecast...which is pretty much the story for the whole country.
