Anyone for Anya? - Flower Power

This week over on the Anyone for Anya? Challenge Blog our theme is "Flower Power". We are sponsored again this week by Stempelstudio and joined by a new Guest DT, Jo.

I was very lucky as Paul had given me some to sample when he dropped my order around on Friday....all I can say is yum....don't think they will last long and I think I will need more! The little double daisy is from Creative Treasures and is adorable and matches the papers perfectly....so much so I have now run out of them....and need more.

Be sure to come on over to Anyone for Anya? and join us....and of course check out the sketch on Sketch Saturday.

Georgia and I are off to see my Dad & Sister for a Valentines Sunday Lunch....wonder what we will be having...Hmmmm,....Lamb or Beef????

Daring Cardmakers "Schooldays"

This week, my final week as Guest DT over on Daring Cardmakers the theme is Schooldays. For my card I decided to make an Apple shaped card....I always think of "An Apple for the Teacher". To make the apple shaped card I traced around a template made from a Cider Coaster in the bar on last years GoGo Getaway. The image I have used is by The Greeting Farm, "Teacher Anya". I have coloured the image with Copics (but cannot remember the colours). The papers October Afternoon "Detours" with stickers and journal cards from the October Afternoon "Report Card" range, and the "G" sticker is by Sassafras Lass.

So that's it.....my final Guest DT week. It has been great fun working with a lovely group of crafters, so a huge thank you to them all for having me.

Cute Card Thursday "Back to School"

This week over on Cute Card Thursday our theme is "Back to School" which ties in with the Tilda & Friends ATC theme of the same. This week I decided to make a little project that I had seen on Splitcoast Stampers and also on www.inkingidaho.blogspot.com.... a mini backpack which I have decorated with Teacher Anya from The Greeting Farm. I have decided that Georgia will give both this and the card to her new teacher on Monday (sadly these sweets were eaten...not by me, so I think I need to put a few choccies in it). I have coloured Anya with my Copics and the patterned papers are all DCWV "Latte". As you can see from the side shot, the straps are made with some gorgeous purple satin ribbon, and the top loop from Stampin' Up choc chip taffeta.

This week we are joined again by our Guest DT Amy and also sponsored by Gurlee Girl Clear Design Stamps.

My holiday is rapidly coming to an end, although I had a lovely morning sat chatting to Annie & drinking coffee. Luckily the weather is better than yesterday and we have seen a little blue sky and sunshine....but not too much, we are in the UK after all...LOL

Tilda & Friends ATC "Back to School"

This week over on the Tilda & Friends ATC Challenge Blog our theme is "Back to School". Here in the UK we see the return of the kids to school, and the return of many a parents sanity. Daring Cardmakers "Take Five"

This week on Daring Cardmakers the challenge is to use five of something on your card...five brads, five flowers...you get the idea. For my card I went with five different patterned papers....all from the DCWV "La Creme" stack. The main image is Butterfly Anya from The Greeting Farm, and I have coloured her with my Copics. The other elements I have used are flowers by Prima and Craft Fairy, spacer and PaperMania pearl brad, 2 pearl pins from The Range, a sentiment by Craftwork cards and my swirl punch by Quickutz, my oval scallop and scallop punches from Stampin' Up, and my Labels Two from Nestabilities.

On the inside I have used the same five papers plus a couple more of the blossoms....
I really enjoyed this challenge...even though I never intended to add a stamped image....I just changed my mind right at the end...LOL

Scrap Onlne @ Paper Craft Planet

Last night I took part in my first Scrap Online over on Paper Craft Planet....thanks Karin, and this is the card I made from the instructions that Karin posted. I have used a Miss Anya from The Greeting Farm which has been coloured with Distress Inks using the following colours...
Tattered Rose (Skin)
Black Soot (Hair)
Peeled Paint/Faded Jeans (blended together before applying) Clothes
Black Soot (Clothes)

I have also added some Sakura clear glitter pen to her hair. The papers are all by October Afternoon "Home Town" and I have used some Core-dinations cardstock for matting. The flowers are all by Prima held with a spacer and PaperMania pearl brad. To finish off I used my QK Revolution die to cut some swirls, my Nesties to make a scalloped oval for the main image and my SU punch for the scalloped edge.

As always I have decorated the inside with some of the left over scraps...

I really enjoyed doing this last night....I was so unorganised and also started later than the others, I had no image pre-coloured either....so I am really pleased with it...considering the complete lack of pre planning. I also received a message from Karin asking if U would be interested in hosting a Scrap Online one evening.....

I have also entered the card in A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge Blog this week, as they want you to use punches or die-cuts and my card has used both.

A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge #43 "Gems"

This week over on A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge Blog we are challenged to use "gems" on our creations. I have combined this with the sketch that Tiets provided on her forum.....I can't read Dutch so I copied the sketch from Marlene's Blog.

Tattered Rose
Walnut Stain
Black Soot
Worn Lipstick
I got the papers which are in a paper pad, from the NEC HobbyCraft show last week....just wish I could remember what shop they were from...LOL I have also added some ribbon that was wrapped around my Links of London jewellery box, a Craftwork Cards sentiment, some Prima Blossoms attached with a doodlebug sugar coated brad and a spacer, obviously...GEMS, and finally a heart pin theough the ribbon.

The papers is the pad are more like very heavy cardstock...so this card is pretty heavy. Below is also a picture of the decorated inside.
