Basic Grey Challenge #1
Here is a card I made using the sketch over on the newly relaunched Basic Grey Challenges. For my card I decided to use the new "June Big" papers layered with some midnight blue (not it's proper colour name) Bazzill. I used one of my Gorjuss Girls by Sugar Nellie which has been coloured with my Copics. I also used some random ribbon and flowers, with the centre flower coming from Wild Orchid Crafts, and a sentiment by Craftwork Cards....I really love the foiled die-cut sentiments...so classy.
Last night my friend Lyns and I went to the cinema to see "The Ugly Truth" with Gerard Butler & Katherine Heigl, and it was fab, I loved it...definately one I will buy when it comes out on DVD....I even impressed Lyns by recognising Natasha Beddingfield's voice in one of the tracks in the film....we had to stay to watch the credits to see if I was right...LOL Hmmmm Gerard Butler was yummy, and so funny...strange accent but I can forgive him....he is a Brit.
Next week on Orange Wednesday we are going to see "The Proposal" starring Sandra Bullock (one of my fave Actresses).

The Sugar Bowl #17 Judy's Sketch
Here is a card I made last night using the sketch over on The Sugar Bowl, provided by Judy. For my card I used the free Sugar Nellie stamp that was on Craft Stamper back in June....how cute is that owl. I have coloured him with Copics using the following colours...
Beak - Y38
Hearts - R46
Feathers - E31/E33/E35
Feet - E29
The papers are all by DCWV "The Green Stack" and I have layered them up and sanded the edges. The flowers are also handmade using scraps of the paper punched into circles, screwed up, and sanded...then to finish I added a button to the centre of each of them. I have also layered the main image using my oval nestabilities, and mounted the owl on 3d foam. Finally I added a sentiment by Craftwork Cards and layered it with my SU oval & scalloped oval punches and popped it onto 3d foam too.
Thanks Judy for a lovely sketch to work with, and to The Sugar Bowl DT for their fab inspiration.

Clock Mad!!!!!!
Ok, so you are all by now probably thinking I am "Clock Mad" but here is another one I made this weekend. This one is very different to my previous clocks as it is for a desk and measures approx 7" in diameter and has an integral stand, and it was also purchased from The Range (thanks to the eagle eyes of Marlene for spotting it and talking me into buying one over the phone). I have covered it with the same Creative Imagingations "Art Warehouse" paper that I used on the Gorjuss Clock. On this one I used some pink spotted ribbon that I got from HobbyCraft to go around the edge of the clock face. The numbers and wording was also done using some old alpha stickers I had hanging around...possibly by Making Memories or American Craft, although I cannot be sure. I also cut up a Prima Marketing Bling Swirl and added it in between the wording and stamped images...which are incidentally from the new Manga Range by Sugar Nellie....and are fab....just wished I had been in time to get the other 2 stamps in the range. Finally I added a four layer flower with a brad and spacer (I bent the brad to get it to stand at an angle when I stuck it to the outer edge.....plus of course one of the 3D Butterflies made using my X-Cut Dimension punch....with some added bling....a girl can never have too much bling on her desk.....
Sadly this one isn't for me......although I cannot say who it is for as I have to post it next week to the lovely lady I made it for.... I will however be going back to The Range to get a couple more when Marlene gets back from the USA and I go and see her...and stroke her lovely new stash.....you just know she will come back with some.....possibly loads. I did tell her if she goes to mad, she will have to wear ALL her clothes home to save space in her luggage...LOL

The Sugar Bowl - Challenge 14 Judy's Sketch
Here is a card I made last night using the sketch over on The Sugar Bowl provided by Judy. I wanted to wait to do the sketch so that I could use my new Gorjuss Girl from set 3. I have coloured her with Copics and added some sparkle to her wings using "Black Diamond" Stickles. The papers are all by Sandylion from the "Liqorice Lane" range as are the stickers I used for the sentiment, and the butterfly was cut from the patterned paper and stuck in the middle so that it floats and I also added gems to the antenna.
The inside is also decorated in more of the same... And I also decorated the back with a butterfly.....
I am loving the new Gorjuss Set 3...some of my favourites yet. Thanks to Judy for the sketch and the DT for more amazing cards.

Gorjuss Clock...
June 30th was the deadline for submissions to the Sugar Nellie DT, and I finally applied at 11.50pm...nothing like leaving until the last minute. I wasn't going to apply, but friends told me that even if I was unsuccessful it was worth giving it a go.....So I finished off the project I was working on and sent it in.....and here it is....My Gorjuss Clock, well Georgia's actually...LOL
Georgia is as pleased as punch with her new clock, and if I don't make the DT at least I made her day with the clock....now I just need to put a battery in it and get David to put it up for her...

The Sugar Bowl - Challenge 13 "Lilian's Sketch"
Over on The Sugar Bowl there is a fab sketch by Lilian together with the "please include" option of using Kraft paper, or brown and cream cardstock. To be in with a chance of winning the fab Gorjuss Girls 3 you need to use the option.....so that is what I have done.
For my card I have used one of the girls from Gorjuss Girls set 2, coloured with Copics. The papers are all DCWV "The Green Stack" layered with Core-dinations cardstock. I have used my Nesties to cut the matts for the main image, and my new swirl punch. The flower was given to me by Marlene when I was visiting yesterday....actually she never gave it to me.....I just chose it, and she was good enough to let me have it.....thanks hun x To finish off I have used some Basic Grey Opaline in a teal colour, and a TLC rubon.
As you can see below I have decorated the inside with more of the same papers, and also another image. The back is also decorated with smaller scraps, and my handmade by stamp

This weekend I got an email asking if I wanted to have a stall at a local "Colour/Image Evening", so I will have to decide this evening and start preparing this week....luckily I have a stock of cards already made...LOL
