Cute Card Thursday Challenge 45 "Valentines"

This week on Cute Card Thursday Challenge Blog the theme is "Valentines". For my card I have used my new(ish) Hero Arts "Four Dolls" stamps, and coloured them with Distress Inks (Tattered Rose & Worn Lipstick). I have kept the card fairy simple using just some Basic Grey "Bittersweet" papers, random ribbon and sentiments by Autumn Leaves....and that is it. But I love the card...I fell in love with these Hero Arts stamps as soon as I saw them.....they remind me of my Momiji dolls....

It seems like most challenges are having a Valentines/Love theme this week, so I have kept mine fairly loose so that it can be used as an anniversary card....I mean I only send 2 valentines cards a year...and there are loads more challenge blogs than that...LOL

As today is the 31st, this is officially my last day as a GoGo Girlie, so now I am looking for a new challenge....a new DT...

Ismaki Challenge #36 by Manue

This week over on the Ismaki Blog there is a lovely sketch by Manue, complete with the option of using "pearls"....mine are missing as I couldn't find them....but will be adding them later. I have used an image available from DewDrop Crafts which has been coloured with ProMarkers using the following colours...
Ivory/Blush (Skin)
Cocoa/Apricot (Hair)
Pastel Pink (Dress, but only highlights)
Warm Grey 2(Suit)
Warm Grey 4 (Shoes)
Ruby (Necklace & Heart)
The papers and embellishments are all from the KI Memories Love Elsie "Betty" range. and the sentiment has been added via an epoxoy sticker from the same range and a barcode stamp by Autumn Leaves.

I love the simplicity of the sketch, and think it turned into a fun but understated card....so thanks Manue and the rest of the DT for your inspiration.

Tilda & Friends ATC Challenge "Pink Blue Green"

This weeks challenge over on the Tilda & Friends Challenge Blog is "Pink Blue Green". It is pretty simple, we want you to create an ATC using either Tilda or one of her new friends and make an ATC with those colours.

For my ATC I have used one of the Summer Club Kit hAnglar & stAnglar stamps. The image is coloured using the following ProMarker colours...

Ivory/Vanilla/Blush (Skin)
Pastel Yellow/Gold/Apricot (Hair)
Lime Green (Hairband and Trousers)
Rose Pink (Dress and Shoes)
Pastel Blue (Mug and Tray)
Cocoa/Rose Pink/Berry Red (Muffin)
Soft Lime/Pastel Pink (Blanket)

I have added some highlights using my Signo Uniball white pen, and also some glitter with my Sakura clear glitter gel pen. The sentiment is by Autumn Leaves as are the papers (French Twist), finally the flowers are by Prima Marketing "Dude" collection. The brad is one from an old ScrapaGoGo kit, and the spacer are available on eBay.

With such an easy theme this week, come and join in the fun....there is even a small prize. I am even prepared to do some swaps....and I have never done any before. I am going to Ally Pally in a couple of weeks to the "Big Stamp and Scrapbooking Show" with Marlene on the Saturday, so if you are going and would like to meet up and swap an ATC....let me know, so that I remember to take some with me.

Ismaki #30

Ok, so I usually avoid the tricky sketches, but last night I bit the bullet and tried this weeks.
And here it is.....I have used a gorgeous Elisabeth Bell stamp from Whiff of Joy with a sentiment by Hero Arts. The papers are My Minds Eye, with the lace from the August ScrapaGoGo kit. The flowers are all by Prima with spacers kindly given to me by the gorgeous and stunning Marlene, held together with brads from my stash. I didn't like this initally and after looking at it for almost an hour, I added some Autumn Leaves swirl stamps to the plain bits...and now I think it is much better.

I have been asked a couple of times to list the colours I have used...so here goes. All are ProMarkers as follows...

Ivory, Vanilla & Blush (Face)
Cocoa (Hair)
Blossom (Jumper)
Amethyst (Trousers)
Cornflower (Mug & Socks)

Not sure if I will make another like it, as I don't think it's my style, but it's always good to try new things.

Tilda & Co Challenge 34 "Emboss This"

A little late, but this weeks challenge over on the Tilda & Co Challenge Blog is "Emboss This". So what better excuse did I need tio get my new Cuttlebug out.

For this card I have used Forest Tilda (I think that was her name) coloured with my ProMarkers with a sentiment stamp by Hero Arts and a swirl by Autumn Leaves. All the papers are by My Minds Eye and are from the September ScrapaGoGo kit (I am using the pieces I didn't use in my designs this month). The flowers are by Prima with Flora Doodle brads by Petaloo (they are foam on the top with oodles of glitter on them...but you can't see that and were in the September kit too). The spacers are some I got in an old kit....not sure who from. I have used my new Nestabilities for the circle and scallop...yay first time I have used them.

Cute Card Thursday Challenge 23 "Bright Colours"

This week the challenge over on Cute Card Thursday is "Bright Colours". So despite having the first sunny day here since we arrived on Saturday, I have still managed to whip this card up using stamped images that I bought with me. For this card I have used one of my new Alota stamps...it looks like this pair are having fun playing dress up. The papers are Autumn Leaves, and I cannot for the life of me remember what range they are from....you can almost guarantee that as soon as I have finished this post and have logged off and gone back to the caravan.....the range with suddenly just pop into my head. The other items are Prima flowers, Autumn Leaves stamps (ticket) and ChatterBox "Artsy.licious" , Doodlebug rub-ons and some random bling from my stash. So this is the last of my "caravan creations"...LOL.

Today I had the opportunity to meet up with the lovely Annie (DT member of Cute Card Thursday and Tilda & Friends ATC Challenge Blogs), we had a lovely chat over coffee in Looe, and all too quickly it was time to say goodbye as her Hubby was ready to leave, and my tribe were finished crabbing and ready to take advantage of the sun and head down to the beach....let's hope we can do it again next year...but for longer next time. Georgia and I both came away with a lovely card and a stack of stamped images....Georgia had even won a set of mini stamps for taking part in the Tilda & Friends ATC challenge....she was a happy bunny.

Penny Black Saturday Challenge 10 "Ribbons"

This weeks challenge over on Penny Black Saturday Challenge is "Ribbons". Now even though I am away on my holidays, I have still managed to take part.....only had one lot of ribbons with me, but thankfully they matched some papers that I had with me.
For the card I have used a Penny Black image that I stamped when I visited with Marlene back in July...thanks Hun. I have coloured the image with my ProMarkers and inked the edge of the white cardstock with chalk inks. The papers I used are October Afternoon "Detours" and the lush ribbons and buttons were both from Chatterbox "Artsy.licious".
The weather on Sunday was fine in the morning...not exactly tropical, but dry and warm enough to enjoy some time making sandcastles. So we headed back to the Holiday Park at about 2.30pm and not long after it tipped down, and carried on all through the night...
On Monday I met up with one of my oldest friends. We grew up across the road from each other. I was best friends with her brother and we were always in each others houses. So Wendy arrived with her daughter Becky at 12pm, and we had a lovely afternoon catching up, having lunch and the girls managed to part us with lots of cash to spend in the amusements. So after a lovely afternoon Wendy & Becky had to leave at 4pm as they were going on holiday the following morning....back to where we had just come from, so that they could visit friends and family...how ironic is that!!! We are going to book again before we leave, so next time we will make sure we give them the dates so that they are around.
So today once the rain stopped for a while (12pm) we went back down into Looe for another visit to the beach. On the way my Dad treated Georgia to a wetsuit so that she can play on the beach withoug freezing to death...LOL
So tonight we will stay on site and see what the clubhouse has to offer...well I know there is Bingo....maybe I will win this time....fingers crossed.

Penny Black Saturday Challenge 9 "Sketch 2"

The challenge this week on Penny Black Saturday Challenge Blog is another sketch.

I have used an image I stamped while visiting Marlene a couple of weeks ago...thanks Hunnie x I have coloured her with my ProMarkers and added some Sakura clkear glitter gel pen. The papers are Rhonna Farrer ones that were in the Dec 2007 GoGo Create Kit. All the other stamps are by Autumn Leaves.

Thanks ladies, I do love using these stamps.

Tilda & Co Challenge 28 "Distressed"

This weeks challenge over on the Tilda & Co Blog is to create a distressed card. I have ripped and inked papers and made a paper flower which is also distressed and stamped sentiments directly onto the card.

The image is a Magnolia "Summer Breeze" and the sentiments are by Autumn Leaves. The papers are by Prima from the "Angelique" range, the lace is from the June 2008 ScrapaGoGo kit and the button brad is by Karen Foster.

You should have seen my hands when I was finished, I had ink all over the place and strips of paper all over the floor....I am a messy crafter...LOL

Today I have a sore backside, as David, Georgia & I went on a 3-4 mile bike ride yesterday afternoon. Now it is years since I rode my bike....thankfully it is true...you never forget. I had forgotten my saddle felt like sitting on a razor blade...LOL

Sarah Kay Challenge Blog - Challenge 1 - Lovely Lilac

The first ever challenge over on the Sarah Kay Challenge Blog is up after a short delay. This week the theme is "lovely lilac". Having received 5 new stamps last week I wasted no time in colouring them, and already had this image coloured when the challenge went up.
I have used Sarah Kay "Precious Moments" stamp, with a ticket style stamo from Autumn Leaves. The papers are all Basic Grey "Euphoria" with ribbon from Gobby Craft and flowers by Prima. The bling is from a large pack I got from QVC a while back. I made the notepaper effect with a Stampin' Up punch.

Looks like the Design Team for this blog are in place, congrats to all those chosen. Look forward to seeing your work in the coming weeks.

Marlene's "Green" Candy Challenge

The uber talented Marlene, you can see her blog with wonderful creations on HERE is having a Blog Candy contest/challenge. Anyone who has read Marlene's Blog knows that she loves all things green. Here is what she said...
"I love the colour Green so you will have to use it somewhere in your creation.. and as I tend to use ribbon alot, I would like to see some of this too
Soooo… the challenge is that your creation has to have some green and some ribbon (alot or a little) in it. This can be a card, scrapbook page, altered item… anything at all...

So last night I made this. I stamped the card with my trusty Autumn Leaves Swirls 2 stamps an coloured them with Sakura Stardust Glitter Pens. The main image is Tilda in a Heart Dress, and I used my new SU circle sentiments inside my SU Scalloped punch. The ribbons is just some random stuff I found in my stash mountain. I used my Prismacolor and Sansador to colour....I am getting better with practice.....well I think I am.

Thanks Marlene, lovely challenge...and the candy looks amazing.

Stampin' Up and Tilda

Here is a picture of the project I made last night when I went to a friends Stampin' Up party. It was a lovely little project. Michelle, the SU demonstrator knew we were all crafters so didn't want to make anything too basic. This was a perfect project...not too difficult that you couldn't chat while making it...but not so simple that you didn't learn anything...so thanks Michelle. She also showed us how to make a really cute little box to hold a few pieces of candy...will have to have a go at it later.

I made this card using a Magnolia that arrived yesterday from Sweden. In the delivery I had lots of duplicates as I had been too impatient to wait....well at least they all went in a flash...and I managed to swap two of them for stamps that I didn't have already...so a bonus. Anyway, back to the card. I used Baking Tilda stamp, Autumn Leaves stamp for the ticket and Doodlebug Little Mini Simply Sweet alpha for "today is", Basic Grey "Phoebe" papers, DCWV scalloped cardstock, SU scalloped punch.

More Cards...

Here are last nights cards. Yesterday my new mermaid tilda arrived and she was sooo pretty I had to use her straight away. I used DCWV cardstock, Basic Grey "Skate Shoppe" papers, Doodlebug ribbon, paper frills & buttons, Making Memories fish button, Kelly Panacci stamp. I also used a Sakura glitter pen to outline the scales etc...you can't see in the pic, but it is beautiful. I have left the journal circle empty so that I can add an age to the card when I go to use it.

The second was using Autumn Leaves "Mindy's Zoo" for the Giraffes. I also used one of the oldest items in my stash....a Paper Adventures "jungle" kit. I used papers and the die cut vines from that kit.

Card making has certainly changed since I started out......thank goodness there are plenty of wonderfully talented designers that don't use "peel offs".......yuk!
