Hip in Denim

Schools acros the nation are starting up.
Here in Michigan,
school resumes the day after Labor Day!
Here's a snazzy pick me up...
regardless if it the first day of school or the 14th day of school.
Treat the teenager in your life with a pocket of fun!

First, find an old pair of jeans and cut out one of the back pockets.
Trim up the edges. If you want to keep the edges neat, apply some fray check.

Create a crinkle bow using your teen's favorite color.
I added a courderoy brad to embellish the center.
Craft Glue Dots ® were used to adhere this embellishment to the pocket.

Next, fill up the pocket with fun school supplies, gum, and candies that your teen enjoys.
You might even tuck an encouraging note!

Here I used the white striped crinkle ribbon from 3 Girl JAM "Red, White, & Blue Bundle."

Thanks for taking a reading break and checking out the company blog today.

Just a Note Back to School

Do you find yourself wondering "where did summer go?"
I sure have now that the kids in our area are heading back to school.
My children always loved sharing gifts with their teachers and
who doesn't need more post it holders?!
(insert a groan here if you have a desk full already)
I love the vintage style paper with the Tuxedo crinkle ribbon.
I added a few staples to hold that ribbon snugly in place.
Once that post it pad is used up, just pop in another.
This ribbon looks great when tied up time and again.
Be sure to join our Back to School challenge.
and if you're up for shopping...

Have a wonderful Friday!

School Locker Note Box

Hi Friends! Abby here with ScrappinAbby and I'm excited to be back to share another crafty project with all of you using the FAB Crinkle Ribbon from 3 Girl JAM!

I made another Back-To-School project since that's the season for all of us parents right now. My daughter, Kaley, is going into the 8th grade so I've been busy working on projects for her locker at school. So what I'm sharing today is another one of those projects, this time it's a note box that she can hang in her locker.......

I altered a tea box for this project. I'll have a video up on my blog later this week that will show you how I did this. As I've mentioned before, Kaley loves hot pink, black and bright green so the TuxedoCherry Lipstick and Green Crinkle Ribbons worked perfectly for this project.

I made a small flower with some of the green Crinkle Ribbon to sort of dress up the top portion of the note box. Kaley loves these flowers : )

This is a cool way to add some texture and dimension to your project with the Crinkle Ribbon.
Even the Sharpies have some 3GJ love : )
I put some magnetic tape strips on the backside so Kaley could stick this on the inside door of her locker. I think she is going to love it!  I hope I was able to show you some new ways to use the yummy 3GJ Crinkle Ribbon.

Thanks for stopping by the 3GJ Blog and for checking out another ScrappinAbby project.

Happy Craftin!!

Back to School Note Cards

Morning and Happy Friday everyone!!!
Jessica here with a  fun, quick and easy Back to School project to share for
3 Girl JAM that also fits our current challenge going on for the next week.
So as a reminder the challenge is
Back to School w/Ribbon
And here is what I made...
a set of 5 note cards all packaged up and ready to give....
How adorable is this????
I found this fun printable freebie from Jennifer McGuire HERE and it was just a matter of printing out my 5 note note cards, then hand cutting the apple that is also included as an extra in the download and coloring it with my copic markers. I did 5 apples like that and then attached them to my cards with some glue.
After rounding the corners on my note cards and placing an envelope behind each one, I placed them in this clear card box, wrapped some Mistletoe crinkle ribbon around the box and tied it in a bow.
Then for my tag, I used My Creative Time~Stitched Tag die with the matching Round Tab, another apple from the download that I again colored with my copic markers and the sentiment stamped from My Teacher Rocks! set.
There you go! A super quick and GREAT gift idea for your teacher!!!

I sure hope you have enjoyed my project and will play along with us over at the
Remember you have one more week to get your
Back to School w/Ribbon
 projects in!!
Thanks so very much for stopping by!!
Have a GREAT Friday!!
