A Mother's Day Card!

Hello Friends & Welcome Visitors!

Chriss here from Scrappin' With Chriss and Lou.  Did you know that Louie had a birthday?  He was 10 years old on Sunday, May 3rd.  Funny how time flies.  He was just a puppy when I first started my blog.

Oh he is a spoiled ol' dog!

Anyway, here is my project for today, it is a Mother's Day Card.

I used the lovely Tie Dye Bundle 2 for my ribbon.  Have you been to the 3GirlJam Shop lately?  There are 5 new bundles of the most gorgeous ribbon for sale there!  Wow!  I mean this is beautiful crinkle ribbon that you will LOVE!  And, if you use the code MAY you can get the Pink & White Bundle for just a $1.00 when you make a purchase.

Thank you so much for stopping by!  If you are someone that comes by and reads this blog but doesn't comment, I would love to hear a comment from you.  What do you think of my ol' dog Lou?  or my card?

Hugs,
Chriss

Just a Note

Nicole here today with a back to school card to share with you.  I used a file from the silhouette store for my card and then embellished it with some of the fun 3 Girl JAM yellow tie dyed ribbon (love this stuff!!).  I used my 3 Girl JAM bow maker to make a double bow and then glued a button from my stash on top.  My card fits in perfectly with this month's challenge - "back to school or something with a writing instrument" - so you can be sure I will be linking my card to the 3 Girl JAM challenge blog.

I used the pink from the Tie Dye bundle 2 and the Aqua Splash to make the bow for my card front, using the bow maker.  I love that I get perfect layered bows every time!  Best $7 I've ever spent!

This was a fun card to do, when I saw it on the SIL site I knew I had to make it.
I used lots of pearls and gems and some twine as well.

Elegant butterfly by Marji

This is a file I found on the SIL site.  I used papers from CTMH.  I really love the new tie died ribbons, so bright and so pretty.  I know it's not a perfect match but I like the contrast it adds to the card.
I used foam tape between each layer of the butterflies wings to keep them separated.
I used my bow maker to create the tiny bow for the butterfly, that is the best tool, if you don't have one yet, click below and GET ONE!

Never ending card by Marji

Image of *New* Tie Dye BundleImage of *New* Tie Dye 2 BundleImage of *New* Flower Bundle

I made a never ending card for today.  I used papers from CTMH and the file from the SIL store, talk about easy, lol, I let my machine to all the cutting and all I had to do was glue and embellish.
This is one of my favorite papers, I love the birds and the colors are so pretty together.  I have a hard time throwing scraps away so I put them to use on this card, the little ribbon "bow" at the top are 3 scraps. I used glue dots to attach them together then added a pearl to the center.
I used our new flower die cut ribbon across the bottom.
Fun right?  I added pearls and gems through out along with some stamping.  ( I actually inked up some stamps!)
Now that I have this cutting file, I see myself making more of these cards, no measuring or calculating.  And using double sided paper made it even easier.

I tied loose knots and put them in the center of the plants.

I used the yellow and the green together to tie a bow around the pot.
I totally love how this turned out.  I'm pretty sure I will be making some of these as gifts for some people I love.

Tie Dye Bundle for Sweet Treats

Hello Crafty Friends,

This is Georgiana from Carson's Creations and today is my 3 Girl JAM day. I am using one of the newest products available...tie dye ribbon in pink. The soft blend of colors allow you to use it on all your creations. Plus it come in various other colors!

Here is my Design Team project...
I created a treat box using a plain boutique box from DeNami Designs. I picked up these 1x3x3 boxes at the Scrapbook Expo last year, but haven't used them since I have been using my zipped baggies. I decided to try fancying up the box, so it wouldn't be plain. What do  you think?

I cut the tag at 2 1/4" using Plantin Schoolbook (shadow feature too) and then added a flower sticker by SandyLion. I have so many stickers that even if I used one each day for the next 6 months I probably would still have plenty left. Liquid pearls in Pink and Key Lime were carefully dropped on each side.

The bow was create with 3 Girl JAM ribbon and some Pink Limeade Trendy Twine.

Now for the box...I used the Swirl embossing folder and ran it through the Cuttlebug and viola! No more plain plastic box! You could use any type of embossing folder for the theme you need. I have a few more of these boutique boxes, so will be trying some other patterns!

Here are the tie die bundles available in the 3 Girl JAM shop. Stop by and gets yours today! The bundle includes 4 yards of each color for $4.97. Use GC10 for a discount.

Don't forget the monthly challenge...
May 31st - June 27th

Stay Creative,
Georgiana

Mini Message Boards

Good morning.  This is Cheri from DJ's Sundries and I hope you are having a wonderful day and enjoyed a good weekend.  I was so inspired by Scrappin' Abby's Memo Board last week that I wanted to make some of my own.  I decided to use some great 3 Girl JAM ribbon to make them just my style.

The new Flair and Flower Bundle were just what I needed to make my little boards.  All I had to do was add some extra ribbon from the new Tie Dye 1 and Tie Dye 2 bundles to make them perfect for my treasures.

I started out by purchasing some cork tiles from my local Joann's store.  These were 12 inch tiles, but I wanted circles.

So I set up the Art Philosophy cartridge to cut a circle to use as a pattern.  Using fit-to-page, I was able to create a pattern to use to cut my circles.  I then took some muslin to cover the cork by using hot glue to adhere it to the back.  Next came the fabulous flower ribbon for decoration and a hanger.  I decided to do each one a little differently for more variety.

Using ribbon from each Tie Dye bundle, I made little bows to adhere to the front.  Flair finished off the center of each bow perfectly.  If you look close, you can see that I used Picked Raspberry, Mowed Lawn, and Dusty Concord Distress Inks around the outer edges to add a little punch of color.  Each one was finished by adding a piece of card stock to the back of each to hide all the fabric and ribbon edges.

I now have the perfect place to add my treasures using my collection of stick pins.  This was actually a pretty simple project and I can't wait to get them all hung and filled.

If you are interested in a video that may give a better view, head on over to DJ's Sundries.  In the meantime, be sure to pick up your own ribbon and flair in the 3 Girl JAM store.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Remember to take some time to enjoy the little things.
