In Sympathy

Hi, everyone, Julie O here today from her brand new blog, Muddy Paws and Inky Fingers.  My original blog was hacked last Friday, and it has totally disappeared, along with every post I've ever done on anyone else's blog -- including over 50 for 3 Girl JAM.  Poof!  Gone!  I would be so happy if you would visit my new blog and become a follower.  There's blog candy to win, and the prize includes 3 Girl JAM ribbon!

Here I am, my first day of posting on my new blog, and ironically, it's a "Sorry for Your Loss" card.  Maybe I should have changed that sentiment to, "sorry for my loss".

Several weeks ago, I needed a sympathy card for one of my best friends.  She lost a very special aunt, a lady she loved deeply.  Her aunt was a gardener, so I wanted a card that would reflect that.

I used several 3 Girl JAM products on this:  2 layers of 3 Girl JAM Distressed Lace, topped with 3 Girl JAM Baby Girl crinkle ribbon from the Baby Bundle.  I made the hat pin myself and thought this was the perfect card to use it on.

Don't forget about the Anything Goes with Ribbon challenge
underway at the 3 Girl JAM Challenge blog.  There's still time to enter!

If you use discount code JO10, you can get 10% off anything in the 3 Girl JAM store.  Or, for the month of June, use code JUNE to get the new Sunny Meadows Bundle for just $1.  Go shop!

Pretty in Pink

Hello everyone!
I'm so excited to share a sweet altered gift that I created that is just full of LOVE.
This is a chipboard coaster that I inked up and layered with some frilly goodness.
I added the triangle hanger so this could easily be hung on the wall.
The size is 4"x4" and that sweet stamp was borrowed from my mom's collection.
I love how the pleated lace gives this piece such a feminine look and it goes perfectly with the baby girl pink crinkle ribbon and stick pin too.
You can find that Lace and Ribbon in the 3 Girl JAM Shop.
AND you can pick up a generous 10% off when you shop by using the code DB10 at the check out!
Thanks for letting me be part of your Valentine's Day!
Hope you get to spend it with the one you love…and I also hope you'll join us for our
"Things I Love" February Challenge!

Have a happy day today!

Teddy Bear Baby

Good morning everyone.  This is Cheri from DJ's Sundries and I have a little card for a co-worker to share with you today.  I wanted to make her something unique but also pretty.  3 Girl JAM had the perfect combination of ribbons, though I used pieces from 2 different bundles.  Iris from the Spring Flowers bundle and Baby Girl from the Baby bundle paired beautifully to pull this card together.

Now I realize that the picture looks a bit fuzzy and I was bummed about that at first.  Then I realized that the vellum overlay was causing that look.  It makes the card feel soft and ready for baby.

Besides the gorgeous 3 Girl JAM ribbon that is linked in the bundles above, I used a few other products.  They are:
Prisma colored pencils
Cardstock - white from Paper Trey Ink and Georgia Pacific
Colored paper - from my stash (unsure of the manufacturer)
Memento Tuxedo Black and Dusy Concord Distress Ink
Vellum from my stash
Spellbinders Classic Scalloped Ovals
Inkadinkadoo "Welcome Baby" stamp set
Blossom twine from The Twinery

For more information on the specific Prismacolors used and a short video, please head over to DJ's Sundries by pressing here.  Thanks for stopping by and remember to take some time to enjoy the little things today.

Watering Can

Happy Monday, Nicole here with another project using some wonderful ribbon from 3 Girl JAM.  I have wanted to make this 3d watering can from the silhouette online store for awhile now.  I added some "Baby Girl"  pink 3GJ ribbon on both sides of the can.  I used my 3GJ bow maker to tie a double bow for this project.  I just love the bow maker - makes tying ribbons so quick and easy!

Thanks for stopping by today, for more details on my project stop by my BLOG.

Congratulations Sweet Baby Card

Hi Friends. Abby here with ScrappinAbby and I have a really sweet baby congratulations card to share with all of you. A friend of mine at work just found out that she is going to be a grandma. This is her daughter's first pregnancy and I've made some crafty things for her before for their wedding last summer. So since this is such a happy occasion for her, I wanted to create a card for Heather congratulating her on journey into motherhood.

For this card I used some of sweet Baby Boy and Baby Girl Crinkle Ribbon from the Baby Bundle along with a bit of the Latte ribbon from the from newly released Coffee Bundle from 3 Girl JAM.

I love mixing the different Crinkle Ribbons from all the bundles that 3 Girl JAM has to offer.

If you don't have any of these colors in your ribbon stash..be sure to head over to the 3GJ Store and get some today. I hope you enjoyed my card & I can't wait to put this in the mail for Heather. I will have additional photos & a short video on my blog which you can check out HERE.

Thanks for stopping by the 3 Girl JAM blog and Happy Crafting!!

A Special card for a Special friend

I hope everyone is having a great Thursday!  Julie O here from muddypaws&inkyfingers with today's post.  A good friend of mine recently celebrated a birthday.  We've known each other for a long time and we've been good friends almost since the beginning, so it was important to me to make her just the right card.  I put a lot of love into this creation for her.  It features 3 Girl Jam Baby Girl Pink crinkle ribbon from the store.

Doesn't she look like a classy lady?  Here's a close up of the ribbon treatment at the bottom of the card:

And, in case you'd like to see that bow up close, here it is, too!

For more of the story of our friendship, and the supplies used on this card, please visit my blog.

My design sister, Madge, has a fantastic project on the 3 Girl Jam Challenge Blog today.  Check it out and leave her some love!   Then, link up your own April Shower creation!

Guest Designer-Joan aka Sassy Olk

Hey everyone, Abby here today!  This 3GJ post is an extra special one for me as I get to introduce our Guest Designer for this week..Joan aka Sassy Olk.

Sassy and I met close to two years ago when we became DT sisters. She is an amazing person & is so very creative (as you will see with her FAB project below) and I am truly proud to say that she is not just an online crafty acquaintance but she is my FRIEND. Her personality lives up to her name and I wouldn't have her any other way.  Please help me give a warm 3GJ welcome to Miss Joan aka Sassy Olk with Sassy Moments

It's me, Sassy!  Born and raised in the Land of 10,000 Lakes I am all Minnesotan.  I love the change of seasons, sitting by a lake, fishing from a dock, and listening to the call of the loons.  Married to Jason, we are the parents to one, spoiled, four-legged, furry peke-a-poo, Sassy.  The name stuck with me after bringing her home.  In addition, I am the proud Mom to two successful adult children that make me extremely proud.

My crafting style is anything but clean and simple.  I like to adapt to the challenge and try my hand at all styles.  I guess that makes me eclectic!

The messier the technique the more I seem to love it.  I like getting my hands into creating, feeling the different textures, applying glue, gesso, fiber paste, paint, Mod Podge, etc.  You get the idea.  Very seldom do I mess with using a paintbrush or other applicators.  Easily my favorite technique is learning a new one.  Taking a class, watching YouTube videos, subbing to online classes and blog following all play a major part in my life of learning.

I feel very fortunate as this week's 3 Girl JAM Guest Designer.  Thank you.

Jar of Hearts
I wanted to highlight the gorgeous texture of the 3 Girl JAM ribbon and decided to crochet hearts as embellies.  I love the end result and the ribbon color is beautiful.  How perfect to embellish your Valentine's Day project for that special someone!
For my project I began with a plain ball jar and lid.  Using Mod Podge I adhered the bright pink tissue paper.  Off-white burlap was wrapped around the jar and on the front side only threaded Cherry Lipstick wrinkly ribbon under and over.  With the ribbon on the top I used a Sharpie marker to be sure all the loops were the same size.  The four hearts were all crocheted using different size hooks (L, J, I, H) and hung showing on some the front-side or the back-side.  I love the effect of both end results.  With the remaining ribbon I wound it around the lid and embellished it with a light-pink bling.
Ribbon colors from 3 Girl JAM - Antique White, Baby Pink, Cherry Lipstick
I hope you like my Jar of Hearts and are inspired to give crochet a try!

Elegant Florals with Jessica B

Hello
3 Girl JAMmers

Jessica B here with you today for my Design Team Day.  I love that I get to share another project with you that I made using the fantastic products available at 3 Girl JAM.

There are so many  wonderful reasons why I LOVE the 3 Girl JAM Crinkle Ribbon.
It is awesome to work with.  Not only  does it make a perfect accent on your cards and layouts when you tie it into a bow, use it across the edges, or pleat it to make a border, but I have to say, my favorite thing to create with Crinkle Ribbon is Elegant Florals!

Recently, I had a prize winner who stated her favorite color is ORANGE.  So her entire prize was made with that in mind:

including this Orange-a-liscious Loop de Loop
Made with Harvest Orange and Antique White Crinkle Ribbon

You may recall seeing a few other projects in the past over at Jessica's Craft Shaque
that included these gorgeous blossoms!

Here's a quick recap to inspire you and hopefully invigorate your senses!
I will share the name of each Elegant Floral Style (EF) above each of the project pictures

Loop de Loop

 Mini Bow

Sweet Swirl

Pleated  Petals EF

Wise Whispers
