Happy Birthday Gramps!

Weekend is ALMOST here.
I cannot wait.
I have alot of relaxing to do!
(well, one can fantasize, can't they?)

Rebecca here to show you a birthday card that I created for my daughter's grandpa.
Whatcha' think?  Did I pull off a man card?

I have a really difficult time making cards suitable for men.
This one was good practice.

The crinkle ribbon I used was perfect for the designer paper!  It's Latte, from the Coffee Bundle!

Which reminds me....if you want some good inspiration on birthday cards (besides this one, of course), you should make your way over to the challenge blog.  And you ought to think about linking up a card!

Anyway, thanks for stopping by!
Have a grand THURSDAY!
(oh, gosh...really just one more day)

Graduations Galore

It would seem that every one of my relatives this side of the Mississippi has at least one family member graduating from either high school or college this year!  Last weekend alone, we went to three separate graduating parties...and have another party next month!  I didn't have to cook at all until Memorial Day!  It was great.

All that partying was what I needed to get my mojo in gear.  Made several lovely graduation cards, very similar to the one above. It's a good thing they were all women (next month I won't be so lucky), because it is so much easier for me to make a girly-girl card that a boy-themed one.

Anyway, here's one of the cards I made using Coral Crush from the Caribbean Splash bundle (awesome festive name!~)

I've outlined the other products I used on my blog HERE, if you are interested.

In the meantime, remember to smell the roses!

Silly Birthday Card

Good Morning All You Crafty Gals (and Guys)!

Rebecca here bringing you a cheerful and bright card for someone with a special birthday (that they would most likely enjoy keeping to themselves)!

I very recently returned from vacation and was inspired by all the bright and cheerful colors that dotted the  landscape.  Visiting a heavily populated area, it was interesting to see that so many people had bright summer flowers in little pots hanging outside their apartment windows.  No matter where, we all want a little color to brighten our days.

I made the flower with Ice Blue Crinkle Ribbon, from the Hot & Cold Bundle.  Of course, this time of year, I'm choosing the "Hot", because I'm ready for more summer fun!

Anyway, hope you like my card today and it inspires you to make something bright and beautiful.

Have a wonderful and art-filled weekend!

Purple Butterflies and Sparkles, Oh My!

Happy Friday!

Rebecca here from Bloomingpink Studios!

Are you ready for the weekend?  I certainly am! (of course, every time I post here, I am happy that the weekend is approaching!)
But today, I'm extra happy for two reasons:

3GirlJam had a release on Wednesday...with three new bundles (and six new colors!)
If you missed it, go back to THIS POST.

And

I have a busy weekend (of fun) and then OFF to Barcelona for a week with my daughter!
So, all I can say is....something...anything...in Spanish!

Okay, so enough about me.  Onto my project.  When I saw the new "Royal" bundle, I knew exactly that I wanted to use the rich purple on my Mother's Day Card.

Hope you like it! (Well, really, I hope Mum likes it, but of course, you count too!)

Well, that's it for me!  I hope that your weekend is jam packed full of fabulous crafting time.

AND until next time....

Tener un día maravilloso

(Ha! so there's my something in Spanish)

Happy Birthday

Rebecca here, reporting from a warming East Coast Springtime!

So Lovin' this weather change.  Wanted it.  This warmth. And needed the glow of the sun for some much needed needed rejuvenation.

Oh and the natural vitamin D3 doesn't hurt, eh?

Okay, so enough of my bliss on the weather change.

Today's project is all about celebrating those moments (for the YOUNG, mind you).

Yes, delightful CRINKLE RIBBON in such a wonderful pink color.

I mean, really, raise your hand if you'd like folks to forget yours.  Okay, we all know that while we keep aging, we really DO like it when someone remembers....we just hope they don't remember our age.

So THERE.

A bit of my old time and NEW time

EXCITEMENT...For someone else that surpasses ME in YEARS!

Clip Board

Good Morning Everyone!  Rebecca here reporting in from wonderful Austin, Texas!  (work related travel takes me to really fun places sometimes!)

Anyway, my project this week is a clip board that I constructed from an old piece of wood and a clothes pin.  Prettied it up with some paint, distressed paper, a few beads, chipboard, buttons, etc...a little bit of crinkle ribbon, and some old ric rac I found in my sewing kit!

Hope you like it and are inspired to create something wonderful this weekend.  I sure had fun getting my hands dirty making it!
I have another one over on my blog, so stop by and visit me HERE.
Have a great weekend!

Tiny Organizer

Wooo-Whooo! It's Friday. Rebecca here, from Bloomingpink Studios and let me just say that I'm so ready for the weekend! Aren't you?
Anyway, I'm here to show you a little book I made. It's a small book - measures 4.25 x 5.25 inches. So, in essence it's a card sized notebook with about 20 total sheets of paper stitched in. I really needed a list book to jot down things I need to remember. And of course I wanted it stylish at the same time!
I've used the Crinkle Ribbon, Sunflower, from the Harvest Bundle. Stamped it, added a little butterfly, and an antique dry cleaning pin with a super tiny tag!
Hope that this simple project gives you a bit of inspiration!
Have a great weekend!

In Pink

Hi, Rebecca from Bloomingpink Studios here on this wonderful Friday morn to show you this little lush of a message I put in my husband's briefcase this morning.

Saucey, yes?  Well, maybe a little....

Suggestive

I decided that livin' in suburbia, in my mid years with grown kids and all my youthful risk far behind me....

....well, let's just say...I thought little somethin' somethin' to spice up a relationship now and then might be sort of fun?

HA.  I won't tell you if it worked, but it was sure fun to make anyway.

This card is what is sometimes referred to as a hybrid card.  It includes print product (I created and printed), stamping and embellishments!

Those nails...by the way...

NOT MINE

Never was able to fashion anything that grand.

Anyway, you see the fabulous ribbon, and you know where to get it!

And you know it's fabulous!

Alrighty, then, I gotta go paint the town (and my nails) Pink.

Have yourself a WONDERFUL weekend...and remember

Make Something Beautiful

and share it with us on the Challenge blog!
Anything with a ribbon and you're golden!

(but tonight...I'm donned in Pink!)

Guest Designer- Julie Odil

Hi!  Rebecca checking in with all you jamming chicks! I'm happy to introduce you to one fabulous guest designer, Julie Odil .  She is reporting to us all the way from the great North COLD and has a great home decorating project to share with us.  Here's what she wanted you all to know:

I’m so excited to be the guest designer on the 3 Girl JAM blog today!  Thanks to Rebecca and Julie for inviting me.  I am thrilled!
I love the colors of the merlot and white ribbons together so much that it was “instant inspiration” when I took them out of the packages.  Both colors spoke “winter” to me.  So, that is the direction I went, creating a winter-themed banner, using 3 Girl JAM ribbon for embellishing.

You can find all the details on how I made the banner, including other supplies I used on my blog:
So, hop on over there if you’re interested in creating one of your own!

I want to share a close up of the snowman.  I used watercolor paints, and some watercolor paper given to me by my friend, Rebecca, to create the focal point of the banner.
There you have it. I hope you enjoyed my wintery project! Even though it’s super chilly outside, I hope it will inspire you to make one of your own.

Again, I’ve so enjoyed being a guest designer for 3 Girl JAM.
Have a WINTERFUL day!

Treats That'll Make Your Heart Flutter

Good Morning Everyone!  Rebecca reporting in to show you what I've been up to when I've had a little  down time.

This morning I'm here to get your creative juices going!  It's really getting chilly over here in the North East and a good workout is just what's needed.

A crafty workout, that is.

SOOOOoooOOOO - Let me start with a confession...

I LOVE CHOCOLATE.

And..I need every excuse I can think of to justify buying bags of delicious pink, red, and white package confections.

And I package it up to tempt EVERYONE around me.

Whatcha Think? Good Plan?

I used several a couple different crinkle ribbons on these treats.

ICE BLUE from the Hot and Cold Bundle
GOBLIN GREEN from the Spooky Bundle
BABY BOY from the Baby Bundle

Hope I tempted you into making one for yourself (and then opening it up and EATING it!)

HA!

Have a great day!

Love all Around

Good Saturday morning everyone!  It's Rebecca here, serving up a little bit of inspiration with your coffee (or if you're looking at this past midnight on Friday, well, then, maybe I'm serving it up with a martini!)  Either way, I hope you like what you see.
Also, I hope that you are coming here, taking a break from all those New Year's resolutions you made...or all those goals and plans to declutter your house (or your liver!)
So, I put together a simple and quick card that I think anyone but a manly man would appreciate!  What do you think?  And did you notice the button?
Do you like the new buttons that 3GirlJam has available in their shop?  I do.  They are delightful.  And what's even more delightful is that they are currently on sale!
Ok, there you have it.  Your break from all that pressure to start the new year with a blast of efficiency and goals!
Back to your task at hand -- and it better include making something AWESOME!

Snowman Fun

Just a super quick, happy, snowy hello to you from Rebecca!

Today, I've whipped up one of my all time seasonal favorites - a happy snowman.  With less than a week before the big day (and MORE than a week of preparation to do), I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed.

So, what does that mean?  It means, sit down, ignore the to do lists, grab a goblet of wine, and make something beautiful that makes me happy.

Hope you share my sentiment in the fun of this card!  I added a bit of the variegated ribbon on my sentiment from the Seasons Bundle.  Do you love the little roses as much as I do?

And with this as my last post of the year , I just want to wish everyone a very Happy Holiday and Happy, Safe New Year.

May you find peace and love with your family and friends!

See ya next year!

Country Childhood

Happy weekend!

Rebecca, from Bloomingpink Studios, here today hoping you are having yourself a wonderful Saturday.

Only 10 more days until Christmas! Are you excited?  I have only begun some of my shopping.  VERY relaxed about it all this year.  I can't handle more stress.  My job is providing enough.

And that is why I love taking a few special moments to share with you all a little bit of my stress free adventures in crafting!

Lots of little elements on this page, but let's just start with the ribbon.  You know, I've said it before, but that multi-colored Summer Sprinkles ribbon, from the Seasons Bundle, has to be one of my all time favorite ribbons.

If you want to find out the details on some of the other elements on the page, just venture over to my blog and I'll fill you in!

It was fun looking through all my mum's photos when I was putting this page together.  So many of them feature her with her two closest sisters, Charlcie (pronounced Charle-C), and Chestine (who goes by Tina).

I really wanted to get this done by Christmas, but I think I'll give her a "starter" set, so she won't be disappointed.  I'll be pushing through the rest of this in time to come.

In the meantime, GO make yourself PROUD and create something LOVELY!

Autumn GLow

Good early morning everyone.  Rebecca here from Bloomingpink Studios.

Today I'm showing you a candle I decorated for one of our daughter's birthday.  Isn't it lovely?  And it only took a little bit of running around my craft supplies and 20 minutes - Start to Finish!

Don't you just love it when you take just a little extra time and energy, transforming an otherwise simple item into a such an elegant and pretty gift?

WELL --  I do.  I dig it.

This little package really popped with the bright crinkle ribbon.  It added just the little touch that was needed.   I used Sunflower from the Harvest Bundle.  I find myself grabbing that particular color so much.  I think because it works well all year long.

So, there you go!

Quick, easy and awesome.

I need more 20 minute lovelies...What are your quick gift giving ideas?

Cheers!

Also--
Remember today is the last day of the 30%-40% off sale at www.3girljam.com

Merry Post

HiDeHo Neighbor
This is Rebecca from Bloomingpink Studios!
(psst - I always liked that show!)

Today I am featuring a card that is one of several cards I'll be sending folks this holiday season.  This is the month that is not only for taking note and giving thanks, but also preparing for all the holiday fun in December. I have to admit that when I get in the midst of holiday preparation, I do alot of card surfing and CASEing (Copy and Steal Everything).  That and entering lots of challenges, which help inspire me. And this card, of course, falls into that category!  Stolen design, but I'm lovein' it all the same!

So, my card features the 3GirlJam Summer Sprinkles Crinkle Ribbon from the Seasons Bundle.

Speaking of challenges, if you haven't already, take a look over on the 3GirlJam Challenge Blog and submit your wonderful creation today!  They have really great prizes! (and I'm telling ya', if I wasn't a designer, I'd be stalking and submitting away cuz who wouldn't want some free stuff for their awesomeness, right?)

Well that's it for me today.
I have crafting to do (and so do you)!

Pretty Pretty Package

Hi Everyone.
Rebecca here from Bloomingpink Studios
It's another great Saturday and I get to share with you another project I made using some of the wonderful ribbon available from 3GirlJam!

I used several different Crinkle Ribbons and the all NEW Burlap Trim!

Here's a list (and links) to the ribbons:

I really had fun decorating this little package...and it's not even for a birthday!  I have this thing...even if  I make something pretty...it just feels SO MUCH MORE SPECIAL if it's in a nice package!  Don't you think?

Well, here's a close-up so that you can oogle (HA!) over these flowers too!

If you are curious about what's inside, you'll just have to pop over on my BLOG and see!

Now go have yourself a wonderful day!

Icky Treats

Good Day Everyone!
Rebecca here again sharing a cute and silly treat I've made for Halloween next month!  Super excited to show you this!  Isn't it a hoot?  I wonder if the kids that get this will DARE to eat what's inside!

It's a wonderful Saturday all the way over here in my little corner of the world...even though my vacation is over (SIGH).

BUT on the upside, there is something so much fun about putting together really special one of a kind treats, don't you agree? We don't get many trick or treaters on our street anymore because everyone has grown up...and we live on a cul-de-sac with only a few houses....so it's even a real treat for ME when I get to see little kids all dressed up.

So, what do you think?  I just love the pizzazz the wonderful crinkle ribbon added to this treat sack.  And the button is one I got from my pack of vintage buttons!  I painted it with some bronze paint I have used with leafing to give it a little boost.

Oh, and do you see the burlap banner!  I made this from some burlap ribbon....

NEW PRODUCT  THAT I LOVE LOVE LOVE

It's going to be available starting on Oct 1 (just a few more days from now!) and will come in 4" side by 1 yard strips!  You'll definitely want to check it out.

I can't wait to see how the kids react! I'm going to DARE them to eat the treats inside.

If you want more information on the dimensions of the bag and how to make it, I've posted the details on my blog HERE.

Have a wonderful day!

Happy Bird-Day

Hi Everyone!
Rebecca here today, from Seattle!
Why Seattle?  CUZ....that is where I am...I am on VACATION!

SO NEEDED.

That's right, I'm on vacation, but had to stop by and show you a little of what I was up to before I left.

I created this simple and elegant card for my mom's birthday.  I had to get this done before I left and that meant I had to keep it quick, but sophisticated. I don't know why I say I had to make it quick cuz I was going on vacation....It seems that time is speeding ahead at such a pace that I am always two dollars short!
I suspect I'm not alone, yes?

You will notice I used the crinkle ribbon, Sunflower, from the Harvest Bundle.  It is one of my FAVORITE yellows...not too bright, but not dull.  Just right.  And the nice color yellow will ease me right into the autumn season.  So, from here until next Spring, no more light blue flowers and springtime sprigs!

Well, that's it for me.  I'm going on the prowl for Cougars and Bears! Here, kitty kitty!

I hope you all have a wonderful day!
