A patriotic family.

--Capt. R. K. Hudgins, late of the U. S. revenue service, and Lieut. Wm. E. Hudgins, of the same service, immediately on the withdrawal of their native State from the Federal Union, resigned their commissions and tendered their services to Gov. Letcher. Both father and son have this day been assigned to duty in the batteries now being erected on York river. Capt. H. has two other sons--one a Sergeant in the Old Dominion Guards, on duty at Portsmouth, and the other with Com. Rousson, at New Orleans.
