We have received a copy of the sermon preached on the late Fast day by the Rev. A. Mitchell, pastor of the Third Presbyterian Church in this city. The sermon is an able and instructive one, discusses elaborately and forcibly the great question of the day in its religious aspects, and its opinions are expressed at once with a mildness that ought to disarm opposition, combined with the emphasis of fixed conviction.
