Every year Santa brings really pretty gifts. I like to match the tree colors and use pretty ribbon and an ornament for each. I choose cheap but pretty ones. Here $1 birds and butterflies from walmart.
The ribbon, i always get on sale. I use ribbon i can use in the tree the next year or that i can use in crafts during the year.

SUPER IDEA Shabby Chic Christmas picture frame ornaments tutorial

It is snowing outside and super boring for the kids, If you are sick of cooking...Make Picture frame ornaments I will show you why THIS IS THE MUST DO right now...The kids loved to make them too !
I got those Card board frames at the dollar store. At the bridal section.
5 for $1.
I took it apart...

Glue your  favorite paper on the outside frame...When dry, cut it out and use a craft knife for the inside part.

Glue your picture....the frame and bow back...

Here is a dreamy pink one....
Perfect for a tree decoration...

I made this one with my boy's picture...This is a great way to use :
This year Family pictures...
Pet pictures...
Relative pictures as a gift...
Favorite pics...

Use it with individual family pictures as a plate tag in your Christmas dining room setting , people can take them home as a gift....

Use it in a card tree...very easy...A branch, a vase and rocks to anchor the branch...Display your family pictures all year long this way...It becomes a family tree.

Hope you are having a great day !
Last minute shopping for me !

Shabby Chic Christmas cookie cutter ornaments

I used cookie cutters that i don't use, you can find them at the dollar store too. Use the metal ones.
I used a DCWV paper.
Glued the paper with school glue on the thicker part of the cookie cutter.
Make a hole also with the puncher...or leave a space.

When dry, cut the shape out.
Use a craft knife for hard to reach spots.

Hang with a ribbon.

Here is a star...

Shabby Chic Christmas card or memory book

I love to make memory books. When you pay so much for family pictures or when you take favorite pics. Mini family books are a great gift , memory book and conversation piece on you sofa table.
I love to make them in January when it is so boring and cold outside. This year, i made it for Christmas and hanged it on the tree.

First, i made a trial one with photocopies...To get the right size and design.

I ordered the wallet size pictures.

I used a 12 by 12 paper and cut  4 inches pieces.

Folded and glued.

Book i wanted for 6 pictures.

To make the flower, i used 3 different wrapping sheets.

Attached them with a brad and scrunched them up. You can see the tutorial here: English cabbage rose tutorial.
I glued the front page after I attached the flower.
Punched a whole and added twine and a mini tree ornament.
I framed the pictures with contrasting paper and used blue and silver stickers.
My favorite was this "Summer Circus" paper from GCD studio "Paris night". It was my inspiration for the family pictures too.
I did a black and white with blue because they were my colors this year for Christmas but any other colors would work.

If you can't find French paper. You can print and add it to your creation like i did here. I used a Graphic Fairy paper."Eau de Cologne de France".

Love the French picking through.
