I won this Christmas center piece on Instagram. It's from Foxglove flowers and gifts in Provo, Utah. I was so happy because I had nothing for my dinning table decor.
Pretty stunning!
Should I tell you our chaotic Christmas? It all started when I got sick with a weird stomach flu. Then the kids got a cold flu and we spent Christmas week on the couch watching the Harry Potter series. Didn't have Christmas dinner until 3 days later and still wasn't great...The worst thing I think is trying all night to lower my 2 year old temperature. Yep.
Positive:
I love the Harry Potter series,
No one threw up.
We had awesome gifts this year.
Then, The washer broke down. The dryer too. Got a leak from the washer.
Positive: I had kept our old washer and dryer and the leak didn't damaged the walls. Yep.
Then my car broke down. To found out by a very nice man who was there when I thought my car was going to explode that my water hose had a big hole and it had been taped. So now, I had an accident 4 years ago and this is where I had damage. The mechanic guy taped it instead of replacing it. So dishonest!
The positive:
My husband fixed it and I held my phone as a flashlight. He was Cutting rubber and all. He is amazing!
At the end, despite of this chaos I can only be grateful. Everything worked out and could have been much worse. We are healthy after all and our little house and car are still working.
Some blessings are in disguised...
How was your Christmas?

One box at a time
Settling is coming slow still. Doing the laundry, sorting it. Cleaning the kitchen and the hundred of things I still have to do with 4 kids non stop is still a daily routine. Each box emptied and put in the recycling is a small triumph in my eyes. I love this house and I am so grateful. I am not buying anything and some days are like Christmas when I open a box and find something I haven't seen for 4 years or when my Antique mirror looks perfect on my mantel and I haven't used it for as long.
Hope you are having a splendid week.
