The great doctor on Netflix review

Another back in time show with great costumes and story. I really liked that the characters had powers. Lots of suspense. If you love action you will really like it. There is a lot  martial arts and lots of sword fights. This is a very proper series. I would not watch it with small kids because there is a lot of fake blood splashing around but that's just me. This is a drama of course so lots of crying...from me. lol

I really love all those shows were they put emphasis on feelings, emotions and attraction and not on sex like the shows we have in the states. Beautiful love story! It is also giving you a feeling on how hard it was to have power in old day as you always had someone trying to kill you to take over. Very interesting.
It all starts when a commander goes in the future to bring back a "great doctor".You really have to jump in and see the series. Too good and I won't tell you more! Thumbs up, I loved it!

Arang and the magistrate on Netflix review

I was very surprised with this series. The production is really beautiful with great scenery and costumes with nicely done special effects. The story was very interesting and magical. With a glimpse of South Korean  mythology. It all start with a ghost named Arang who doesn't remember how she died and meets this man who can see her and talk to her. This is a great love story. Very romantic and it got me hooked right away. Some parts seem a little long and I am not very patient and pretty strait to the point but they really keep you on suspense till the very end. It Is also a drama but I would recommend it. Very proper too to watch around kids or teenagers. LOVED it!
2 Thumbs up!

Roftop Prince on netflix review

Another Korean drama I really liked. There is an interesting murder mystery that the main character is trying to solve when he is dropped in the future, funny situations, great actors. I didn't get bored that's for sure. I really don't believe in reincarnation but this Romantic love story was very pretty. There is always a peak at the Korean culture that I find interesting. Great for teenagers. No sex, lots of drama, great TV!. Thumbs up!

Secret Garden on Netflix review

I have been into Korean drama series lately on Netflix. They are very entertaining. Secret garden is really a cute show. I liked the characters, the story is cute and funny. Lots of cheesiness I warn you. Lots of action and drama of course. I can watch it with my 13 year old and it is modest and pretty proper. witch is very nice. The love story is very sweet. It is English subtitles. It gives us a view on the Korean culture too witch to me is very interesting. I watch it on my phone while the baby watches Barney...Sorry barney but 13 years of you is a little too much for me.
Anyways, 2 thumbs up!

Ephraim's rescue movie blogger event

I really loved the movie 17 miracles. I felt more appreciations for the pioneers, their sacrifice, courage and faith after seeing it. As I have said before my husband is a descendant of the pioneers. I am very exited about Ephraim's rescue. I got to meet T.C. Christensen, the director of the movie and Darin Southam the lead actor. Katherine Nelson is also in this movie and I got to meet her few months ago for a private mini concert. The world is really small in Utah and I love it. So many amazing and inspirational people. The movie is out May 31 in Utah and Mesa Arizona, check their website for locations here

A little bit about the movie:

From T.C. Christensen, director of the sensational pioneer film, 17 Miracles, comes the heroic true story of a simple man who was called to do the work of angels. Ephraim’s Rescue relates the story of Ephraim Hanks: a rescuer of the Martin Handcart company.
Follow Ephraim as his adventures lead him to join the LDS Church and ultimately to one of the most heroic rescues in American history. With a unique desire to help and strengthen others, Ephraim learns that each choice we make can prepare us for what lies ahead. He discovers, through it all, that decisions determine destiny.

Ephraim Hanks, a real hero:

During The rescue of the 1856 Martin handcart company, Ephraim Hanks provided buffalo meat to the travelers. "The most remarkable thing about it was that I had traveled that road more than fifty times, and never before saw so many buffaloes in that part of the country. There was not a member of the party but what believed that the Lord had sent them to us in answer to prayer".

Hanks also administered to the sick and dying. Finding many of the emigrants with frozen hands and feet. "Many such I washed with water and castile soap, until the frozen parts would fall off.Hanks provided another important service: Many of the Saints had frozen limbs which were endangering their lives"

Brother Hanks anointed these folks and prayed that an amputation could be done without pain. Then he took out his great hunting knife, held to the fire to cleanse it, and took off the dying limb with its keen blade; many with tears in their eyes said they hadn't felt a thing.

Darin Southam and me

Darin Southam as Ephraim Hanks
A little bit about Darin:
Darin's passion for acting started with a play in his 7th grade drama class and has evolved into a career, with roles that span from indie films, such as Last Man(s) On Earth, to Disney's Halloweentown High, Discovery Channel's I Shouldn't Be Alive, and Fox's 127 Hours. A former student of Playhouse West in North Hollywood (Jeff Goldblum, James Franco, Michelle Pfieffer, etc.)
Darin enjoys the method of digging deep into the characters he portrays. At heart, Darin is a family man with a wife and 3 young children; he hopes his performance as Ephraim Hanks in T.C.'s Ephraim's Rescue will elevate his opportunity to pursue what he truly loves to do - act in film. So much for the end of the world...Almost

December 21st was the end of the world, well kind of...It was our 14th marriage Anniversary. We had a fabulous date and had some sushi. Then we went to the movies and saw the "Life of Pi" Movie. I liked it a lot although it was kind of a bizarre story.

Cowboys & Aliens movie review and an owl outfit

I was wondering how they would put this one off....Cowboys verses Aliens!!!
Well they did. The story line is very good, the actors very good too.
Although, i have to tell you the previews do not prepare you for what this movie is: Very violent and very scary. Yes. Cowboys movies lately have been brutal.
As for me...I am a little tired of violence and the real violence in the news and i would say...I am glad we don't have to deal with Aliens...LOL
That said...

I wore this  Olw sequined shirt from Romwe ($13.99, free shipping) at the movie theater. I love it. I love Owls. They are cute and i love when i can hear one in the woods...

Have a super day!

I used to read the X men comic books when i was a kid. I even made wings out of card board and somehow attached them to my back. I daydreamed i was Angel. I would run around with my wings outside...I wish i was a kid again.
X men first class was the best of the X men movies. It is that good!
The characters's backgrounds are very fun...You should see it. Fun.
We ate at Blue Fish restaurant for sushi.
Super good! I love Sushi.

And i love fish eggs...It is a delicacy in France. We eat them at Christmas on toasts.

17 Miracles movie by T.C. Christensen review

I made a promess to myself that i would not cry during the movie.
The first lines of the movie got to me...."It is a true story".The story of 2 handcart companies, 500 people coming from Europe to have religious freedom.
This story was full of joy, faith, hope and miracles.
I believe that in the worst of times, the greatest miracles happen if you believe. This movie really touch me and gave me strength. To never give up. Whatever happens in my life.
My husband's ancestors on both sides. Mom and Dad were pioneers. Some came in the handcart companies and some with wagons. They all share in their journals incredible stories that god was with them.
I would encourage anyone to see this movie.
Great History and inspiration. A feel good movie.
Have you heard of the pioneers? Maybe some of you are related to them?
Happy Week end!
Yay!!

A quick change to going out outfit and the adjustment bureau movie

I liked this movie on our date a lot. Great thriller. The chemistry and love story between the two was amazing. Although i could argue the "free agency" line in the movie. I find it interesting and a great conversation topic.
Fun. Fun.

So going on a date with hubby...I find myself not wanting to dress up. I just put on some red lipstick and strappy wedges...It worked.
It is still casual in my book. The shoes are super comfortable and i love to be taller. I love the polka dot shirt with the fun ruffling on the shoulders. I made a cuff to the bottom of my skinny jeans. The thread color matched my shoes. Even better !!

The trees are flowering...
