I am an American !

Today was a great day, 

This morning was my Oath ceremony,

I am officially an American citizen.

It was very emotional.

I am very happy and this is a big step in my life. I will be able to vote and have a voice.

I will have an American passport.

Now for the not so good news...I have been very sick for the last week.

  It is from the car accident i had 1 month ago.

I will have an ultrasound tomorrow.

I may have damaged an Ovary where the sit belt was.

I hope for the best...I will keep you posted.

Naturalization

I have been working for the past few days on our Christmas cards and sent most of them...I have a cute tutorial about some Family memory book/Christmas card/gift....If i can stay out of the bathroom....You know this morning was my Oath Ceremony...Well. Instead i spend it throwing up. I have been throwing up all night...Some bad stomach flu. My Fairy started Monday night and it got over fast...I hope i will get over it and that no one else will get it ! So nasty !

So, i have to send a letter to the court to ask for another Ceremony date....I am ok though....Almost there.

I learned that some things are out of my power and that i just have to go with the flow and try my best...

I am Thankful for Thanksgiving

I am very grateful to live in this great Country !

I received my date for my Oath ceremony...Dec 15 !

It makes this Holiday season even more special.

Naturalization test!

I passed the test for my naturalization! YAY!

Feels so good! I don't have to worry anymore...

I got there and they told me that my finger prints did not get approved again!

So i am on my way tomorrow to get a criminal record check.

Then i will drop it or mail it.

Then, i will get a letter in the mail for my Oath Ceremony date....

Almost there...

I have a little craft inspiration for you....

So i have this set of 3 vases with flowers...

You could spend $100 or make them...

First grab 3 vases with different sizes...

Rocks, moss and silk flowers...

Fill with rocks, then moss, then place your flowers in pot. Always in Odd numbers. 1,3,5....

It looks great grouped together...You could do Sunflowers in summer...replace the flowers with the season...

Do pink flowers on a shelf in a little girls room...SUPER cute!

Those mirrors are driving me nuts!

I might have gained few pounds....Hmmmm maybe a lot ... with all the stress but....The bathroom mirrors in the new house are very bad. Not only they are too big and low but you can also see yourself in the shower. Heeeeeek!
I think i was in denial or maybe i gained few pounds (cough). I don't look good. I even look 6 months pregnant and i am not!
I think my body image is different than reality....
What i see in the mirror is not how i see myself....Do you surprise yourself thinking the same way?

The good news is that i can do something about it....Going on my treadmill for 30 minutes a day...Nothing is stopping me this time...I really need to put myself first...

Got my papers back for my Naturalization. My appointment is on July 26th. Hopefully i won't miss that one! LOL

This is one of my lame tricks.... Actually my life is so crazy right now...I am not surprised.
I had my appointment this morning for my Naturalization right?
Well it was supposed to be yesterday :(
I was gone all week end, and had written the wrong date on my calendar...How did this happen?
Anyways,  i have to send back my notice asking for them to give me another appointment. I think it is ok. It is just taking longer...

bangs are hot right now...

I finally got to do some Grocery shopping.....I noticed that people were looking at me....I thought...I guess i must be looking good today ?

I get in the car...Look in the mirror....My bangs were straight up....The whole time...Oh puree! (darn it).


I got my notice in the mail for my  U.S  Naturalization exam...on June 15!

Naturalization progress...

This is my Fairy just before we got in the car, i did not give her the sun glasses..LOL

She find this binky .....She tossed it and said " I am not a baby anymore"

No kidding! LOL

I am so proud of her :)

For my Naturalization progress...2 days before the appointment, i looked at the paper and it said that i had to take my Biometric....Look on line...I guessed maybe it was taking my DNA. I show up at the appointment. They took my Finger prints again ?

The lady said that my finger prints were too warn out and was not accepted......Can you believe that! I am so not surprised! HAHAHA

They took my print, scanned on the computer my fingers and now i could see that at least 4 fingers were overided....So i think that if they can't get my fingerprints. I will have to go to the Police stations were i resided for the past 6 years. Not too hard anyways, because, we did not move that far from our last house.

Funny i just watched Martha Stewart the other day and she said that she has no more finger prints....LOL

I know how you feel Martha! HAHAHA

But so far it is all good....Gives me more time to study.

I am Terrified...

I just received my emigration paper to be Nationalized American...for my last exam..That's it...Almost there...BUT, I am terrified...I don't know if i should cry or get a burger... It's so hard to study and memorized anything with a little kids....Oh, i don't know how you guys do it, going to school and raising little kids....I can't. I have 1 week until my exam....Oh, i will just get a Burger. LOL

Naturalization progress...

Tuesday was my appointment for my fingerprints at USCIS  HERE. 

We stopped at Jamba Juice  HERE....A classic in Utah...

I had my Green card, driver's license to show. They took my fingerprints with the computer! No ink! They gave me the booklet to study.

Then we had the time to see Clash of the Titans....Loved it! Very entertaining...

So many good things

I got some flowers Yesterday, i want to do some planting.....For my front door that is...

Yep, we still have snow...LOL

It's getting warmer though, So Saturday, i have something fun for the kids AND me.

The ducklings are getting swimming lessons in the tub...They love it...More Tomorrow.

I got this cool letter in the Mail already!! It 's my appointment for my finger printing on the 5th of April....WOW, it's fast!!! Click on the "AMERICA" label to see more.

The Adventure continues...

Well the adventure continues but not that one . Although with a 2 year old i get plainly of adventures. HAHAHA

So Sunday i was getting a little of anxiety about my American Naturalization papers....If you don't know about it go see this Post....HERE

So it says that they receive my letter and to make sure that my address is right. If they need papers, they will send me a letter to tell me about it.

WOW...It is being processed. :)

How to become an Naturalized American

I have been in the States for more than 12 years now, and i Am still of French Nationality. I have been annoyed not being able to vote locally and Nationally here. I pay taxes...I live here permanently. My life is here...Not going anywhere i can assure you. LOL.
It is time to renew my passport to be able to renew my green card and go visit my family back home.

Well......I swear...It is easier to adopt a child than renew my French passport... So much paper work...So many trips to San Fransisco where the French Ambassy is. No work can be done by mail. Why does my country make it so hard for me to live here?
After many nights stressing about it...it came to me. Why not. Become American. You love this country...You build your life here. You support Capitalism. Love politics...Love the land....Your husband is American, your kids.....This is a free country and i feel safe here.

It was not a hard decision.....I checked the USCI web site HERE.
This is the government web site. Other webs are just people trying to get your money from you.

I have to congratulate the USCI and their website. It is clear. Easy and complete. It took me one evening to get all the papers filled out and ready. All photocopies i needed gathered. I understood it all. I know the steps. They also give you all the material to study for your final interview. I was exited about their Politics and history material. Loved it. I am very exited to memorize it all....

My story is very easy. 3 kids. American husband. Lived more than 12 years in states. No felony....
No problems to get papers!!!

What i thought would be a very scary and intimating experience ended up being very easy and exiting. I am happy. Sending out my papers on Monday...
2010 is really a new beginning and new journey for me.
