Phew!! 20 posts and I have only covered 3 days out of the 6 days I was there. Brace for more, folks! : )

Continuing from where I left off, as soon as my friend and I came out of Madame Tussauds at The Peak, we headed up the escalator to the Sky Terrace.

Since the Sky Terrace pass could only be used once, we decided to go up at night to get a panoramic night view of Hong Kong city. This was what greeted us at the top!

It was breathtaking, although my not-so-good photo may not be doing it full justice. By the way, those white specks or grainy spots are not haze or polluted air, but digital noise due to lack of light, and of course the not-big-enough sensor in my humble Lumix LX3 camera.

There were quite a lot of people at the Sky Terrace but thankfully, not overly crowded. I could remember how strong the wind was blowing at that time. I felt a little chilled, but thoroughly enjoyed the pleasant weather.

By the way, did you know that at 428 metres above sea level, the Sky Terrace boasts the highest 360-degree viewing platform in Hong Kong?

We spent about half an hour up here to soak in the night air and the wonderful atmosphere. Looking back, I truly miss this place.

Soon, it was time to descend The Peak. There was quite a long queue at the Peak Tram Station. Luckily, we did not have to wait too long. While waiting for the tram to arrive, I took a picture of this.

When we reached the Peak Tram Terminus at the bottom, we made our way to the Central Station to take the MTR back to Mongkok where we stayed. Along the way to the Station, we enjoyed looking at  some of the Hong Kong buildings and landmarks.

These are two iconic buildings in Hong Kong. On the left is Cheung Kong Center, which was designed by Cesar Pelli, the same person who designed Malaysia's famous Petronas Twin Towers. On the right is the Bank Of China Tower which resembles a bamboo shoot.

A bit further from Cheung Kong Center is the famous HSBC Tower, which is one of the most expensive buildings in the world built at the cost of US$668 million.

I was glad I managed to capture Hong Kong's second tallest building - the International Finance Center (the second building from the right in the photo below).

I had a great time walking the Hong Kong streets at night to admire all these buildings. But my tummy was already growling. It was time for dinner and I could not wait to get back to Mongkok for some yummy Hong Kong food!

My Visit To Madame Tussauds Hong Kong (Part 2)

Continued from Part 1

Although I did not take photos of all the wax figures at Madame Tussauds Hong Kong, I think I took most of them. Well, I skipped those that were being blocked by people. I have to admit I have no patience waiting for people to finish posing with the statues.

Albert Einstein with his world's famous equation.

Alfred Hitchcock, the Master of Suspense. Have you watched any of his movies?

Yang Liwei, the first Chinese astronaut in space.

Donnie Yen, top action star in Hong Kong.

Bruce Lee, who needs no introduction.

Famous Hollywood actor Johnny Depp

Leon Lai, one of the four Heavenly Kings in Hong Kong music scene during the 90's.

Famous Bollywood star Amitabh Bachan

The legendary sex symbol Marilyn Monroe

I took another shot of her from the side.

Liu Xiang, the King Of Hurdles. He won China's first Olympic Gold in the men's track and field event.

Tiger Woods, the highest paid professional golfer in the world. But he's probably more famous for his affairs now.

Muhammad Ali, the first American boxer to win three world heavyweight championship titles. A boxing legend.

I have no idea who the above is! Anyone knows?

What?! They have Astro Boy in Madame Tussauds? If you are not familiar with this character, he's a robot with super strength, X-ray vision, unbelievable speed and ability to fly. Created by Tezuka Osamu, the God of Anime.

The Beatles, famous rock band from Liverpool. Looks good!

Madonna, American singer who is good at reinventing herself again and again. I am not a fan, though.

Elvis Presley, otherwise known as The King of Rock and Roll, or simply The King.

Tina Turner, one of the world's most popular and amazing entertainers.

Freddie Mercury, the bisexual lead singer of rock band Queen.

Mick Jagger, the lead singer of famous rock band The Rolling Stones.

Gaga Lady? I thought it should be Lady Gaga! LOL. By the way, she's really quite short!

Michael Jackson still remains as one of the world's most famous superstars, dead or alive.

Teresa Teng, whose songs are considered evergreen in the Chinese music world.

Legendary Hong Kong Cantopop diva Anita Mui

Joey Yung, the current Hong Kong Cantopop diva.

Miriam Yeung, Hong Kong singer and actress.

Twins, the female Cantopop duo made up of Gillian Chung (left) and Charlene Choi (right). Gillian was involved in the infamous Edison Chen photo scandal in 2008.

Which of these wax figures you like best?

I have only been to two Madame Tussauds Wax Museums in the world so far. One was in Bangkok and the other was in Hong Kong.

During my Hong Kong trip last year,  I visited Madame Tussauds Hong Kong which is located at The Peak.

Now let's see if you can recognize any of these wax figures.

Pierce Brosnan in his famous James Bond pose. Who do you think is the better James Bond - Pierce Brosnan or Daniel Craig?

Michelle Yeoh, our very own Malaysian Bond girl. But of course she's famous for her other roles too, and presently some milk advertisement in Malaysia.

I did not take a photo of Jacky Chan as that requires payment. Not interested to pay for a photo with a wax figure. Maybe I will pay for a photo shoot with the real star but I then again, maybe not!

Nicole Kidman looking like the real thing.

Hot couple Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. I think the couple looks better at Madame Tussauds Bangkok.

Famous New York-based Chinese concert pianist Lang Lang. I love watching him perform!

Jay Chou - Taiwanese singer, songwriter, actor and director.

The wax figure of Hong Kong actress Cecilia Cheung did not look very natural to me. What do you think?

Leo Ku, Hong Kong Cantopop and Mandopop singer.

Aaron Kwok, one of the four Cantopop Heavenly Kings, the other three being Jacky Cheung, Andy Lau and Leon Lai.

Meryl Streep looks a bit weird to me. Perhaps her face too long?

Eddie Murphy, famous American comedian and actor.

Janice Vidal, the Cantopop singer who is known as Wei Lan to her Hong Kong fans.

I did not particularly like this wax figure of Hong Kong singer Kelly Chen. Notice her teeth? Something wrong there!

Ta-daa!! It's Madame Tussauds herself!

Princess Diana of Wales, looking radiant.

Jet Li is actually quite short! I am slightly taller than him.

Why was Leslie Cheung dressed like a vampire? Give that to Rob Pattinson please!

Bill Clinton, the 42nd American President famous for the sexual misconduct allegations against him.

Saddam Hussein, mostly known as the ruthless dictator of Iraq.

Adolf Hitler, known as one of the most evil people in the world and who was responsible for the death of over 50 million people during World War II.

I thought English poet and playwright William Shakespeare looks very real here.

I love the classical music by music prodigy Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart! Did you know he started composing music at the age of 5? Of course extremely talented musicians have to die early. He died at the age of 35.

Pablo Picasso, the famous Spanish painter and sculptor.

Mao Zedong, or Chairman Mao, leader of the Chinese Revolution.

Jiang Zemin, the President of the People's Republic of China in the 1990's.

Deng Xiaoping, who was widely credited as having developed China into one of the fastest growing economies in the world.

Hu Jintao, the current President of the People's Republic of China.

Sun Yatsen, the first president and founding father of the Republic of China.

Lee Kuan Yew, the first Prime Minister of Singapore.

And that's US President Barack Obama and me (with my face blanked out of course!) It sure felt good sitting in that chair. Haha!  : )

More politicians, celebrities, artistes, and famous people in Part 2. To be continued ....
