Lietpold the Black

   Модель купила еще в далеком 2011 году, и вот появилось желание ее покрасить. Очень трудоемкая вещь за счет множества мелких деталек и завитушек. Но главное нарекание вызывает нестабильное качество отливки. Видимо, мне так везет, что половина моделей ForgeWorld'a, которые я красила, так или иначе были с серьезными косяками. В этом случае у дяденьки были существенные проблемы с левым глазом, которые возможно было исправить только лепкой на начальном этапе. Но я это упустила (да и лепщик из меня еще тот), поэтому с покрасом долго мучалась, пока друг не присоветовал мне идею - закрыть глаз повязкой, которая трансформировалась в монокль.

  По цветам пыталась пробовать краски, которые у меня лежали нетронутыми, так как всегда предпочитала более теплые травяные оттенки зеленого. А тут решила плясать от холодного изумрудного. Собственно, вокруг него все и закрутилось ).

  This model was bought in 2011 and now it's time to paint it. It's very time-consuming model because of lots of details and patterns. But the main thing I can say after finishing it - it's the uneven casting quality. Apparently, I'm so lucky that half of the ForgeWorld models, which I painted, have one or another serious deffects. In this case, the most big problem was with his left eye. It could be  removed with sculpting at an early stage, but I missed it (and I'm not good sculptor enough for such work). So the face painting was a long agony, until a friend gave me an idea to close the eye with something and now it's monocle.
   I wanted to use some colors which I never used before - this cold tones of green. I prefer to paint with more warm grassy greens. And exactly this reason was my start point ).
  

Empire General

One of the sweetest moments for me is to publish the final photos of my work. So I'm happy to spread such a prolonged and interesting work - Imperial General. It's prolonged because it was painted in the mode of learning activities. I did a very detailed tutorial, consisting of two parts:

Part1: Horse 

Part2: General

Empire General. Step-by-step. Part2 - General.

I continue my step-by-step tutorial of the Imperial General. Now it's time for the General. I used the same recipes of several colors (red, white) as in the first part (Horse) so I'll not repeat it here.

Продолжая начатую работу над Имперским генералом, приступим, собственно, к самому Генералу. Многие рецепты использованных цветов  описаны в первой части при работе над лошадью, поэтому здесь повторять их не буду.

Empire General. Step-by-step. Part1: Horse.

 First of all I want to appologize for all grammar mistakes in this text. It was really hard for me  to translate so many words in English. But I hope that anyone who wants to understand this tutorial will do it :). 

  There is an interesting section - "Gym" on a russian forum WARFORGE where I regularly spend my time. Here young artists paint their work under a patronage of more experienced colleagues. One day I've decided to take two "students" to share what I can and what I've learned over three years in this hobby. But I've decided to change a form of training: not just to give advice but to paint with a student on-line. Because, in my opinion, in this way I would show what I'm talking about. And we must paint the same miniature.
    With my first "student" Alexander we've chosen a mounted Imperial General. I've pulled my General  "from the grave" because he was bought for a bits and much of his equipment (such as all right hands and weapons) was "built out".  And here you can see a history of birth of  two our Generals.
    As a result of our job - I have a very detailed guide how I've painted this miniature. Here is a Part 1: Horse, and then I hope it will be Part 2: General.  

 На форуме WARFORGE, где я периодически обитаю, есть интересный раздел - "Тренажерный зал", где начинающие художники красят свою работу под патронажем более опытных коллег. Вот и я набралась смелости и решила взять себе двух учеников, чтобы поделиться тем, что  умею, чему научилась за эти годы погружения в хобби. Единственное, я решила изменить немного форму обучения и не просто давать советы, а красить параллельно вместе с учеником, так как, по моему мнению, здесь можно хотя бы продемонстрировать то, о чем говоришь. Миниатюра для покраски в этом случае должна быть одинаковая.

   И вот, с одним из "учеников"  мы остановились на миниатюре конного Имперского генерала.  Я своего в буквальном смысле  вытащила "из могилы", так как предназначался он на битцы, и многое из его комплектации (как все правые руки) уже было "пристроено".
