It's been awhile since I've spent any time in my stamp room. I made this card today from a few pieces and parts that I had ready to go. The stamp set & die is Taylored Expressions Wheatfield Dreams and the sentiment is Taylored Expressions Beautiful Soul. Love a pretty sunflower! 🌻

BEAUTIFUL YOU
This was a class from Kristina Werner during the Crop & Create Delivered Cardmaking event. The stamp set is a special edition for the event called Beautiful You. Kristina showed us ways to use the floral without having to do a lot of coloring. We white & gold embossed after creating a striped background with Concord & 9th card stock for two of the cards. The third card we stamped on squares where we selected the area of the stamp that we wanted to feature. The die cut "you" was stacked & we stamped the various sentiments with Versamark ink & white embossing. I really like how these turned out. I would also like to take the time to color the floral in the future.

KEEPIN' IT SIMPLE!
I found this pretty American Crafts black & white floral paper at Joann Fabric. I used Copic markers to color in a few areas on the paper.
Keepin' it simple here today. I used a stitched rectangle to cut out the layer and attached to various colors of card bases. I went thru my word dies and glued them on the patterned paper. Quick & Easy!
** Added this photo later......Lookie there I have washi tape that matches that floral patterned paper. I was sitting in my stamp room this afternoon and glanced at that paper again and realized that I might have washi tape with a similar design - it's the same floral! I put a strip of washi tape on the inside of the cards for a little added design interest!

SIMPLY FAB!
A pretty floral card using the Simon Says Sketched Flowers and Taylored Expressions Simple strips. I also used the Linen Plate from Papertrey Ink to give the white card stock texture.

THANK YOU
A quick Fall-ish thank you card. The stamp, die & sentiment is from The Stamp Market Botanical Beauty and Many Thanks. I used Distress Oxide Inks in Rusty Hinge, Fossilized Amber & Spiced Marmalade to ink blend. The card base is Dipped Dyed cards from Concord & 9th. I was inspired by this VIDEO for my card project using supplies that I had in my collection.

Thanks!
Thanks Laura for the pretty card! Found out that Laura & I have the same taste in stamps - we both bought Taylored Expressions Shiplap Background & the Wildflowers Background. And of course, the Taylored Expressions Simple Strips is a must have too!

Watercoloring - - -
I did a little watercoloring over the weekend. Another medium that I rarely use, but I sure enjoyed it!
The card on the left I used Zig Clean Brush markers with water and on the right the watercolor paints. I stamped the image on watercolor paper. Can you tell that I love this floral image?

Notes of Kindness
My friend, Doreen gave me this fun card kit from Stampin' Up called Notes of Kindness, wasn't that KIND of her? Everything you need to make 20 cards.
Here are the suggested formats for the cards. I made a few adjustments using some birthday sentiments for my card stack!
They are so pretty and it was fun to put them all together! Thanks Doreen!

Fall is in the Air
I've been coloring some leaves that I stamped. I decided to take pictures so that I can use the same Copic markers if I want to color more for future projects. We had a cool, rainy day yesterday and it was a good afternoon for some time in the stamp room. Don't ya just love the colors of Fall?
I saw this card design when I was at the Gina K. Designs store Village Paper & Ink. I stamped the leaves with Versamark & then used white embossing powder. Then did some ink blending over top of the leaves. I only made this one card so far and I only used one of the many leaves that I colored. Go figure! I have plenty more pretty leaves to use on Fall cards!

Dahlia Layering Stencils
I was finally able to play with the Altenew Dahlia layering stencils. They are just beautiful! I used Distress Oxide inks for this Fallish look including Fossilized Amber, Spiced Marmalade & Vintage Photo.
Can't wait to try this technique with more color combinations.

Cosmo Flower Frame
This card design came from Laura Bassen - totally love the whole look! The Simon Says Cosmo Flower Frame die is a beauty! I blended oxide inks on the background of each card. For the card above, I used Spiced Marmalade & Squeezed Lemonade. For the card below, I used Cracked Pistachio & Peacock Feathers. For the orange/yellow card, I added a few water flicks and then blotted with a paper towel. For the blue/green card I added a few flicks of the Peacock Feathers ink with a paint brush dipped in a bit of water.
I did have some trouble getting a clean cut with this intricate die. I had the best luck with 80# card stock. I had to pull out my Big Shot and also use a metal shim. I had good results with this combination.

Thank You Card
Today I used the My Favorite Things Big Thanks die for my card. This is another Concord & 9th tintable background that I colored with Twisted Citron Oxide ink. The sweet friend sentiment is from Papertrey Ink Heart-2-Heart #4 stamp set.

Watercolor Wishes
I took this kit with me to Brazil and I had fun putting all the cards together. It is called Watercolor Wishes from Stampin' UP. The kit came with everything I needed to make 20 cards! I did change a few things - like using more birthday sentiments on the cards and I didn't care for the butterfly wood veneers so I didn't use those. Overall it was a great kit!

Summer Blooms Thank You Card
Did you check out the Amuse Studio blog for inspiration using the July products? I was pleased to have a Guest Design Spot for this release. This was a throwback to a card we created at a Conference a few years ago. The woodgrain makes a nice background for the flowers and leaves.
