WATERCOLOR SPRING!

I used the Gina K Watercolor Spring card kit to make all these cards.  The kit included a beautiful 6x6 paper pad, ephemera & the fun sentiment stamp set, plus a whole lot more that I haven't even used yet!
I mostly used Gina K products for these cards.  I liked using the Gina K Master Layouts for easy card designs.
I stenciled the background on the upper left card using the stencil that was included in the kit.
This background was created with leftover pieces of patterned papers.  I also used a few cover plates for added interest in the background on a few of the cards.  These cards came together pretty quick, only stamping required was for the sentiments.

VARIETY OF VASES

I sure had fun die cutting all these pretty vases!  I die cut the Waffle Flower Vase Variety dies out of watercolor card stock.  I colored a couple of the vases with Copic markers.  I like the added texture on the vases.  I went thru my die stash and found flower dies & greenery dies that would fit in the vases.  I used the Simon Says Tiny Words sentiment set to add a few greetings on the cards.

COSMOS BLOOM

I saw this technique on this video by Jennifer McGuire.  She stamped the background, colored the floral with quick ink blending and then colored in the background white space.  In my cards, I colored the white space with a grey Copic marker.  I used a black glaze pen for the centers of the flowers for a striking accent.  This floral from Simon Says Stamp called Cosmos Bloom turned out so pretty!
So many fun options.  If you cut the background in half you can make two cards!

EMBOSSING!

Altenew has the most beautiful embossing folders!  I love using Canson XL watercolor paper.  I decided that I didn't want to cover up any of the pretty embossed flowers so I put the sentiment inside.  Can you guess what I used based on that popsicle stick laying on my desk?  Rub-ons from a hundred years ago!
Just lovely!

PAW PRINTS

Another paw prints card for my stash.  A black & white theme.  The dog is from a Stampin' Up punch.  I added a little black heart.

PAW PRINTS

I recently picked up the Taylored Expressions Paw Prints stamp set.  I made a few simple cards.
I used the Avery Elle Everyday Circle Tags & Dies and stamped the sentiment inside the circle.  The paw prints are from the TE stamp set.
The circles are from Penny Black and the paw is a wood stamp that I had in my stash.  The sentiment is from the Taylored Expressions Paw Print stamp set.

FURRY FRIEND

Thank you Doreen for the dog die cuts.  This worked out nicely for my card.
RIP Rudy!

SYMPATHY

I have been using embossing folders a lot lately with my card making.  I think it gives such a nice background especially when the layers are white on white.  I used the Taylored Expressions Spring Spray stamp & stamped it with Onyx Versafine black ink & then clear embossing powder.  No coloring required, adding my sentiment strip to complete the card.

Sympathy

Not sure if I love how this turned out - I used the cream card base and white for the stamped images.  The Flip the Floral is from Taylored Expressions and the sentiment is Hero Arts.

SYMPATHY

I had two new Altenew 3D Embossing folders that I wanted to try out.  I used Canson XL watercolor paper for my card fronts.  These folders are stunning!  I had made up several hot foiled word strips to add to the cards.  The stamped With Sympathy sentiment is from Memory Bound.
So quick and just beautiful - especially if you already have the sentiment strips ready to go!

MORE FOILING

I started with the gold foiled sentiment on the polka dot card stock.  I then added the Taylored Expressions Spring Spray using Onyx Black Versafine ink.
Can you see that pretty gold foiling?

WITH SYMPATHY

Unfortunately, I needed to replenish my supply of sympathy cards.  I seem to be using them more often.  I started by selecting some of my favorite embossing folders.  I used white or cream card stock to get them embossed.  Then I pulled out sympathy words in both stamps and strips.
Here you can see the embossing a bit better.

This one is my favorite - I love the embossing and the beautiful stamped words.

These sentiment strips are from Simon Says Stamp.  You get a 4x6 of various sentiments and you just cut them into strips and they are ready to add to your cards.

PRETTY POPPIES

I recently ordered this 12 x12 Peaceful Poppies Designer paper from Stampin' Up.  I love poppies and these patterns are just gorgeous!
This is one of the 12x12 designs and I found a One Sheet Wonder idea on You Tube.  If you cut the 12x12 in such a way, you can make six cards.  These were quick and easy to put together.  I added various sentiments from a few different stamp sets.
2 Birthday cards, 2 Anniversary cards, 1 Sympathy card and 1 Get Well card.

Sympathy card

Another card with the pretty Simon Says Stamp Sketched Flowers stamp.  I stamped the floral image on the patterned paper with Onyx Versafine ink & then die cut it out with a stitched rectangle.  There are also nice sentiments included with this stamp set.

I added a pretty crystal clear heart droplet under the sentiment.

With Sympathy

This delicate floral die cut is perfect for Sympathy cards.  The die is Memory Box Honeyblossom Twig.  I used a couple of embossing folders on the white cards. I pulled out various sentiments from my stash to add to the cards.

Prayers

Sadly it seems like I'm always needing Sympathy cards. I used the Hero Arts Prayers stamp & cut along with a floral from Stampin' Up.

Sending Love

Thank you to Laura for the inspiration on these cards.  I loved the card that she made and wanted to create a few of my own.  I think the simpleness makes these perfect for a sympathy message.  The floral swirl is from Gina K. Sending Love stamp set.

A set of cards...

I made these cards several months ago and forgot to post them on my blog.  I plan to include these cards in my Mom's Mother's Day gift bag!

The floral is called You Are Enough by Concord & 9th.  I used all Catherine Pooler inks.  The sentiment set is from MFT.

Good Find!

I was cruising thru Hobby Lobby yesterday and found this set of 12 cards and 12 envelopes in the clearance section.   Pretty good deal for $2.87.  They are decent quality and I really like the lined envelopes.  I won't ever use the feather cards so I tossed those but the rest of them are quite nice.
Here is the first set of cards that I made using these cards that I found at Hobby Lobby.  The stamp set is Hero Arts called Prayers.  The little stickers were from Michael's in the $1.00 bin.  Super simple cards ready to go!
