"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." ~ Isaiah 55: 8-11

BUSY BEE / WFCo New Release...

Happy Wednesday! This image is new, called Busy Bee! It's warm and sunny outside today in Alabama, but if you're somewhere still snowed in, hopefully this little guy warms your heart a bit! I know it's hard to tell from the pic, but he even has a little glitter on his wings! The sentiment is also from the Wax Fruit Company, called Encouraging Words.

I'm excited, I just book a campground for next month for the first ever Gordon family camping trip! Jeff and I went camping A LOT before the kids were born, as a matter of fact, I went camping a month before Alex was born - lol! He's about 30 months old now & Maisie is 14 months old, so we thought this might be a great time to go! YAY! We're camping off the Gulf of Mexico, should be a blast!

I missed last month's I {heart} Sketches deadline for the Sketch for You to Try, but I decided to use it anyway since it was so darn cute! Here are a few other challenges I am participating in...

Desert Island Crafters - inspired by nature, 2 patterned papers, handcolored (my first time playing!)
Paper Playtime - anything goes
CES CHallenges - flowers & flutterbys
One Stop Craft Challenge - spring flowers
Stamp Something - flowers

Thanks so much for stopping by!

I played along with several challenges today:
Stamp Something - flowers

Have a terrific day!!!

MAISIE & OLIVIA / WFCo Release, PTW #52, CYP #42 & SSC...

Here's are two new stamp sets, Maisie & Olivia and Sweet & Sassy Sisters from the Wax Fruit Company! After talking to a friend until late last night, I thought "This is the closest thing I'll ever have to a sister"... and then I started hoping that Maisie can have a sister one day... if so I'll name her Olivia. Well, then I started drawing...

Maisie and Olivia are sorta 'updated' ragdoll sisters, I guess! I used the current Papertake Weekly sketch, and also themes from Stamp Something and Craft Your Passion for this card.

Thanks so much for stopping by & have an amazing day!!!

XOXOXO / CR84FN #11, PIO #3 & more...

Here's a quick card I put together this morning... just some paper, felt, buttons & twine...

I was over on Chupa's blog EARLY & saw this challenge that I hadn't played with, CR84FN! Thanks, Chupa! What are enabling friends for, right?!? Instead of Kraft I used the "natural" cardstock with inclusions.... unfortunately since it was so early when I looked at it, I didn't R-E-A-D it to see it was Kraft and not cream... SORRY! The Xs and heart are all die cut felt... Yes, I used my giantdwarf felt stash that I just got... still loving it! Buttons are Papertrey & baker's twine. Nothing complicated here - lol!

Other challenges this cards is entered into:
Pile It On - Anything goes
Bunny Zoe's Crafts - Love is in the Air
One Stitch at a Time - New (the felt)
Secret Crafter - With love
Stamp Something - Anything goes
Pals Paper Arts - Valentines (photo inspiration)

Bye for now...

WHIMSICAL GIRL: THE KISS / CS #20, PPA #76 & SGC #10...

Here a little card I whipped up before work this morning as the kids drank their milk & watched Timmy Time... I used a Bee Crafty digi, Whimsical Girl: The Kiss. Isn't it the cutest?!?

< div="" style="text-align: right;">

I based this card on an awesome sketch I found over at Cardabilities. This seemed perfect for Pals Paper Arts' Valentine theme & Southern Girls (I'm a southern girl in the US - but I think these southern girls are farther south than me!) totally loved up theme.

I love saving all my ribbon scraps to add to buttons at a later date for some added "flair". Actually I hate throwing ANYTHING away, just ask my hubby! He wanted to help me clean my craft area one time and promptly stopped when he heard me screeching... he was throwing away bits if ribbon and paper - LOL!

Other challenges for this card:
Pile It On - Children
Stamp Something - Digi Day
Crafty Card Makers - Red & a die cut
Scrap-Creations - Love is in the air
Stampin' B's - Die cuts

Have a great day!

SNOW DROP BABY BUD / BBD #4, SS & PIO #2...

Oh my - isn't this the sweetest little thing?!? This is Snow Drop Baby Bud, by Mary Ann Wainright over at Baby Bud Designs. Not only did they start a new challenge today, they also have a new release - I'll be sharing a card with their new images later this evening!

The paper is from Basic Grey, the Olivia collection, it perfectly matches the SU! Groovy Guava, Old Olive & Kiwi Kiss. I may need more - lol!

This card fits the criteria for 3 challenges:
Baby Bud Designs - Friendship
Stamp Something - Use a digi
Pile it On - Cute children

Make sure to check out the new Baby Bud release, it's TOO CUTE!!!

SNOW FAMILY CANDLE SHADE / TPE #90, SS, PPC #44 & TG #60...

Happy Monday!!! It's so cooooolllllddddd here it COULD snow if we got any rain! We have a Winter Wonderland Challenge for you today over at the Pink Elephant... hope you can play along!

I used Lori Boyd's scrumptiously sweet little image, Snow Family, for this quick project. The digi is printed onto vellum, colored, punched at the top with a border punch & wrapped around a votive holder or other glass jar. Then I applied tons of stickles and some rhinestones! The jar I used here was from a used up candle. You may remember I made a similar one a month or so ago.... they are SO FUN & EASY!!! I think I'll make a ton of them for my mantel, all shapes & sizes!

Here's what it looks like lit in the dark... I should have used a tripod!

Other challenges I'm entering this in...

Stamp Something - Digi Day

Have a beautiful day!

ABBY LOLLIPOP / SSSC #93 & SSC 11.12.10...

Here's another gorgeous little Lollipop from the talented Lori Boyd, named Abby! I just LOVE her hair, not to mention that darling little purse! You can find her here.

I used Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch and also the challenge over at Stamp Something for this card.

I know I'm just throwing these up here today... I colored a bunch of images and finally made cards from them yesterday and this morning...

...one more to go!

STEW POT PALS / CAC #9, C4C #32 & SS 4.9.10...

Okay, this is my last card for today... and I think it's my favorite!

I've been playing along with Becky Oehlers' Compose A Card the last few weeks... it SO FUN! If you have the time, I highly recommend it. This card also fulfilled the 'stitching' requirement for Stamp Something and the 123 [1 ribbon, 2 buttons or brads and the use of 3 different punches] for Crazy 4 Challenges. That is if you count the eyelet as a brad or button & the whole I punched for the eyelet as one of the three punches...

I used Garden Variety paper from Cosmo Cricket to go with this retired Stampin' Up! image (circa 2005) from Stew Pot Pals... another set I've never inked up! I even had to trim this one! This little carrot goes so well with this paper, I couldn't resist! I used my Small Tag & 1 1/4" punches, as well as the punch on my Crop-o-dile. I distressed the edges a little with Sahara Sand ink, and the sliver of red matting showing is Riding Hood Red, which is coming back to the SU! color families this summer - YAY!!! I colored the image with Copics & finished it off with some faux stitching!

Have a great day & thanks for coming by!
