Ahhhh - colourQ #102! Great boy colors today for the newest challenge, I decided to do a layout of Jeff and the kids putting together a new puzzle! This is also for the latest ad{scrap}s challenge #6. Such fun inspiration!

Alex is finally better, I'm so glad! We have big plans this weekend, so I may not be around much. I'm just happy he's better! Thank you for all the prayers!!!

Here's my sample for the latest ad{scrap}s challenge! The ad had really interesting blocks... LOVE IT!

The pics are of Alex, Maisie & my mom after breakfast at the lake playing the memory game. It was Alex's first time playing and he did really well!

CURIOUS / adscraps #2...

Happy 8th of August! Today starts the second week challenge of my new venture - digital ad{scrap}tations. If you love to digi scrap, I would LOVE for you to play along! I even have a fun template of my layout for this week's challenge, and you can download it below!

These pics were taken around the holidays of 2009. Alex was a year and a half and it was only a few weeks until Maisie was to arrive! My grandmother loves to garden and Alex found this dirty old plastic frog and decided to gnaw on it - YUCK!

I have some other exciting news - I made the Miss Mis Creative Team - YAY!!! I used one of her newest kits, Paradise Found, for this layout.

BERRY PICKING / adscraps #1 & CCG #202...

WooHoo! Today is the first challenge over at digital ad{scrap}tations, a new inspiration challenge for digital scrappers! I made this layout based on the this ad:

Here are a few details:

I wanted the text to look painted on, so after I set my type, I duplicated the background paper of the wood & changed the color. Then I clipped it to the text, like a mask.

I also added a slight shadow to the stitching.

When I created the shadow for the picture, I rotated the shadow clockwise just a little, so that the corners would look a little more lifted.
