"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." ~ Isaiah 55: 8-11

STEW POT PALS / CAC #9, C4C #32 & SS 4.9.10...

Okay, this is my last card for today... and I think it's my favorite!

I've been playing along with Becky Oehlers' Compose A Card the last few weeks... it SO FUN! If you have the time, I highly recommend it. This card also fulfilled the 'stitching' requirement for Stamp Something and the 123 [1 ribbon, 2 buttons or brads and the use of 3 different punches] for Crazy 4 Challenges. That is if you count the eyelet as a brad or button & the whole I punched for the eyelet as one of the three punches...

I used Garden Variety paper from Cosmo Cricket to go with this retired Stampin' Up! image (circa 2005) from Stew Pot Pals... another set I've never inked up! I even had to trim this one! This little carrot goes so well with this paper, I couldn't resist! I used my Small Tag & 1 1/4" punches, as well as the punch on my Crop-o-dile. I distressed the edges a little with Sahara Sand ink, and the sliver of red matting showing is Riding Hood Red, which is coming back to the SU! color families this summer - YAY!!! I colored the image with Copics & finished it off with some faux stitching!

Have a great day & thanks for coming by!

CHOCOLATE~ Y CIRCLES / CAC #8...

This is not my usual style... but let's hear it for 15 minute cards!!! I must say, 15 minutes is about 1/4 the amount of time I usually spend on a card... but not today! I made this before work... super easy!

Well, Easter has come and gone, but I obviously still have chocolate on my mind... I usually only dry emboss white or cream, but I've been wanting to do a card with a panel of color embossed, so here it is! I think this would be a great guy birthday card & it could be re-done with pink [instead of olive] for a girl... This is my second time playing around with Becky Oehlers Compose A Card - SO MUCH FUN! The cardstock and ribbon is Stampin' Up!, the sentiment, buttons and polka dot paper is Papertrey Ink.

I did mention a third card, but that can't post until around midnight, it's the latest Unscripted Sketch! So check back... no - not at midnight, but tomorrow morning will be fine!

HAPPY FRIDAY!

PS - Tomorrow is my 3 year blog-iversary - where does the time go? I'll be running a little contest for blog candy, so you won't want to miss that either!

STITCHED FELT FLOWER FOR MOM / CAC #7...

With the hubby & kids in bed... mommy gets to play! Too bad mommy doesn't get much sleep - lol!

It's April 1st... and a day of firsts! This morning I got to be a guest designer for the first time (hopefully not the last!) at The Play Date Cafe - YAY! This is also the first time I had the pleasure of playing along with Compose a Card with Becky - SUPER FUN! I also got to die cut felt and do saddle stitching for the first time... WHAT AN AWESOME DAY!!!

I finally got smart & read all my favorite blogs in Google Reader, which I was doing yesterday when I happened accross this very cool, nifty challenge! I used Papertrey Ink sets for the sentiment & the flower stems. The flowers & Rickrack are dies cut felt. I swear this is the simplest card I've done in a while... it was really fun!

Have a great night!
