"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." ~ Isaiah 55: 8-11

LOVE YOU / CCC #70, USSIS #240 & CC...

Hello! I took a break today from my semi~annual craft area clean~up. When it finally gets to the point I have no uncluttered work space left, I have to stop crafting and get it under control. I have to. After making a lot of headway despite multitasking with laundry and other things - I went against my own "dictate" and made a card. (And I will again later, since I have a Deconstructed card to make!) But THEN I will get back to cleaning.

These new stamps I got from Simon Says Stamp are pretty much why I couldn't help myself - Technique Tuesday's All My Love and Kiss by Ali Edwards. I was happy to play along with the "perfect for these images" sketch from Unscripted Sketches and CASology's theme of "contrast". I also played along with the Curtain Call - "Love Letter".

Nighty~night!

THANKS A BUNCH / SR#60 & ACT #70...

Wow ~ how did it get to be Wednesday already? Yay, 2 more days until the weekend - lol! We have a sketch challenge for you today over at Stampin' Royalty... and I LOVED this sketch!

I don't remember the name of this stamp, I think it was a Stampin' Up! hostess set? One with all the punch shaped stamps. I used Stacey's awesome Curtain Call Act #70 colors... I just HAD to play with them this week!

Thank you so much for stopping by~

SIMPLE VOGUE / SR #59, ACT #69 & LiM #2...

Let me start by saying... THIS WAS REALLY A CHALLENGE! I was blog hopping around a couple days ago & a gorgeous card by Vicky Hayes and the challenge where she had entered it, which was new to me! This week's Stampin' Royalty is to "Mark it Up!" (use markers), so I decided to combine it with this newfound challenge at Less is More, to do a one layer card.

I also got to play along with Stacey's Curtain Call, too! YAY ME!!! Is that 2 weeks in a row? SO as I mentioned, this is obviously a one layer card... it's been years I think since I did a REAL one layer card! All supplies are Stampin' Up!, the stamp set is called Vintage Vogue. Ahhh, except the card stock... that's a CS I got at Office Depot in the resume paper section. I love how it takes Copics, too!

Have a great morning & hope you get to play along with Stampin' Royalty this week!

HEART~y PETALS / TPE #93 & ACT #68...

Woohoo ~ Happy Monday!!! We have a brand new challenge for you starting today at the Pink Elephant, the theme is Be My Valentine!

I used Stacey's Curtain Call Act #68 for my card, and 2 of my new sets, Heart~y Petals and Sweetest Love, from the Wax Fruit Company. I digitally paper pieced the flower, cut it out & added a button and rhinestones. The bottom panel was printed, trimmed and then I only embossed part of it. Very quick and simple card!

This is for a ton of other challenges, too!
Stampin for the Weekend - Valentine's Day
Stamp Something - Anything goes
I Did It - Love is in the Air
Sentimental Sundays - Valentine's Day
Crazy 4 Challenges - Valentine's Day
Cardmakin' Mamas - Valentine's Day
Sew Many Cards - Anything Goes
Simply Create - Give your heart away
Pile It On - Bright and breezy

Bye for now...

FUNKY FOUR {some more} / SR #56 & Act #66....

WooHoo!!! today begins the newest Stampin' Royalty challenge, and I used a favorite little set of mine from SU! called Funky Four. Which I should probably call 'Funky One' since I only ever use the mushroom stamps - lol!

I was thrilled to play along with Stacey and her amazing crew over at the Curtain Call... it's been a while! I loved her challenge this week, it was ... challenging!

I colored the stamp with Stampin' Write markers, easy peasy. Hope you'll get a chance to play along with these awesome challenges!!!

Be back soon...

BUNNY FOR HALLOWEEN / Act #53, CPS #87 & ADFD #4...

Only a few more days of Halloween cards... how sad! And then maybe I'll get tired of this gingham ribbon I keep wanting to put on every card!!! It's hard not to keep making spooky little cards, especially when I've been finding cute new digis like this one from A Day for Daisies called 'Bunny for Halloween'...

I made it a point to play along with Stacey's awesome color palette this week, Act #53 of the Curtain Call. She is such a sweet and talented lady! I started playing along with her jewelry inspiration challenges about 2 years ago - wow how time flies!!! I also HAD to use the Card Patterns Sketch - I thought that half circle would make a perfect full moon! And since this is mostly black, I thought I would enter the challenge again at A Day For Daisies.

We went to have pics taken of the kiddos this weekend, which can be best described by a single word - "nightmare". It took an hour to get 7 usable shots - lol! I can't wait to post some of them here!

Bye for now....

FALL LEAVES / Act #50...

This is one of my favorite ways to use buttons right now... I used to be really stingy with buttons until I started buying them from Papertrey... how can you NOT use them when you have a whole jar of the same color?!?

Making a card like this it doesn't take a whole lot of time....

1 - Trim card stock panel, die cut & then emboss.
2 - Lightly trace along the inside of the die cuts with a pencil, onto the base card stock. This will show you what area the buttons need to cover.
3 - Glue the buttons down. Add pop dots to the rest of the base... they're usually a little taller than the buttons.
4 - Adhere the embossed top panel.

That's it!

I used Stacey's gorgeous fall colors for this card from her latest Curtain Call Challenge. I haven't played with her in a while & it was such a joy to get the chance to this week! I just love her challenges & the gorgeous inspiration she and her team provide! She'll be having an anniversary soon... way to go!!!

By for now...

EVERYDAY BUTTON BITS / Act 46 & FTL #107...

Will I make it? Stacey's challenge is ending soon... lol! I loved the colors, so I had to try to hurry & come up with SOMETHING...

Kinda a quirky card, I know... but I really didn't want to use black for the balloon baskets or get too involved, I also thought it might be cool to brush the ink on the textured background. I did my own version of the sketch, this week's Fall-to Layout.

Sorry, I have to run now... gotta get the Unscripted Sketch post for tomorrow finished up...

MORE VIOLETS / USSIS #71 & ACT #45...

WOOOHOOO - it's time for a new Unscripted Sketch! Kinda a hard one for me, but I worked through it!

I was super happy to use Stacey's colors for this one.... right under the wire! And I figured I'd also use the Papertrey Ink, Year of Violets, since it was already out on my desk. The colors look really washed out in this pic... not sure why!

It's super late, so I'll go for now...
