"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." ~ Isaiah 55: 8-11

MISS YOU / CQC #99 & FTL #154...

Good morning! How is everyone? We have great colors for you today over at the colourQ... sorta like a taste of fall! And I'mm also excited - because we're up to colourQ Challenge #99 - WOOHOO! It's so hard to believe I started it almost 2 year ago! Time flies when you're having fun!

I used PTI In Bloom dies for the felt flower and stamp, a SU! build-a-brad for the center, ribbon and cardstock! The top panel is popped up since I got all fancy with the ribbon! My blue didn't photograph so well, but you get the idea.

As you can see, I did my own thing with the sketch, but all the parts are there - promise!

The felt, of course, was bought on Etsy, from giantdwarf. She has the yummiest colors around - and I love her samplers!

Thank you so much for visiting!

WISHING YOU SUNSHINE / TPE #10...

Happy Monday to you! We started a great little challenge over at the Pink Elephant today - use FELT! It's been a while since I played with felt - but I love it! I die cut 3 shades of orange here using Papertrey Ink's Beautiful Blooms II #3 dies... they are SO awesome!

My felt comes from Sue Eggen, a super nice lady on Etsy at giantdwarf - she has an amazing sampler for $25 that includes 60 - 6x6 squares of felt AND these handy little catalog sheets! It's a great bargain!

Don't forget to play along with us this week @ the Pink Elephant!

Oh and also - my crinkly ribbon came from my sweet friend Sherry - it's hand-dyed, and so gorgeous! We're putting the finishing touches on her little shop - so stay tuned!!!

Bye for now!

THANKS {so much} / SR #55. C4C #70, CP #98 & JAI #51...

Happy Wednesday! We have a brand new Stampin' Royalty challenge for you this morning, anything with wings! I had this piece of retired Stampin' Up! paper sitting out from another project & I decided to use the bird printed on the paper!

Lots of fun challenges for this card! The sketch is this week's Card Patterns, Crazy 4 Challenges' theme is to 'say thanks', and Just Add Ink is using monochrome.

I colored the rhinestones with a Copics. The light pink felt flower is from giantdwarf, the darker from Papertrey Ink, as well as the Beautiful Blooms III dies used. The Jewelry tag punch and matching sentiment set, Tiny Tags, is from Stampin' Up!

Have a terrific day!

[poppies &] BUTTERFLIES / CQC #68, Mojo #174 & TSG #90...

Happy Tuesday! My first card for you today is for the new colourQ Challenge that starts today - YAY!!! I thought these colors looked so great together...

I used the latest Mojo sketch as inspiration, and made it a point to play along with There She Goes to wet emboss, since I've been neglecting them! I need to make more time for the challenges/companies I love & they are one of them! Heck, I must love them because I was scrounging around at 12am looking for my stinkin' heat gun that I haven't used in forever - lol! And you know I wouldn't do that for just anyone!

I clear embossed the butterflies from the set Poppies, by There She Goes, and then dabbed Poppy Parade and Cherry Cobbler ink all over it. You can't tell from the pic, but after I dry embossed the top panel, I dabbed some white pigment ink on the raised parts, sprinkled those with clear emboss & wet embossed it a little, too. On the bottom, I used the Papertrey Eyelet Lace border die & cut felt for the trim & them added pearls.

The felt, by the way, was some I bought on Etsy, from giantdwarf. OMGosh - I love it! It die cuts with all my thin metal dies PERFECTLY! So this is a warning - you may see me go through a "felt" phase for the next few weeks (remember my "eyelet border punch flower" phase? This could be worse...

Have an awesome day!

HEARTfelt / FTL #122, DYSU #1, TTD #30 & C4C #69...

Months ago I ordered this beautiful felt from Papertrey Ink... and now that I've finally used it I think I need EVERY color they have - LOL!

Jeff is working overtime today, so it's just me and the kids. I made this card last night - I need to stop staying up to 1 am - lol! We had over 70 amazing entries at the colourQ this week, so I'm almost halfway finished leaving comments for everyone - WOOHOO!!! But right now, I think we'll all take a nap!

This card was for quite a few challenges...
2 - Do You Stack Up - 1st challenge (congrats ladies) - Buttons
3 - Tuesday Throwdown - embossing

See you soon!

STITCHED FELT FLOWER FOR MOM / CAC #7...

With the hubby & kids in bed... mommy gets to play! Too bad mommy doesn't get much sleep - lol!

It's April 1st... and a day of firsts! This morning I got to be a guest designer for the first time (hopefully not the last!) at The Play Date Cafe - YAY! This is also the first time I had the pleasure of playing along with Compose a Card with Becky - SUPER FUN! I also got to die cut felt and do saddle stitching for the first time... WHAT AN AWESOME DAY!!!

I finally got smart & read all my favorite blogs in Google Reader, which I was doing yesterday when I happened accross this very cool, nifty challenge! I used Papertrey Ink sets for the sentiment & the flower stems. The flowers & Rickrack are dies cut felt. I swear this is the simplest card I've done in a while... it was really fun!

Have a great night!
