"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." ~ Isaiah 55: 8-11

HO HO HO / PPA #146 & CTS #4...

Here's another quick little Christmas card using Jolly Holiday! So many possibilities with this set! I also used the speech bubbles from Talk to Me, and "ho" from Alphabet Soup. My embossing is reversed...

I'm playing along with Pals Paper Arts and CAS(E) this Sketch!

Bye for now...

XOXOXO / CR84FN #11, PIO #3 & more...

Here's a quick card I put together this morning... just some paper, felt, buttons & twine...

I was over on Chupa's blog EARLY & saw this challenge that I hadn't played with, CR84FN! Thanks, Chupa! What are enabling friends for, right?!? Instead of Kraft I used the "natural" cardstock with inclusions.... unfortunately since it was so early when I looked at it, I didn't R-E-A-D it to see it was Kraft and not cream... SORRY! The Xs and heart are all die cut felt... Yes, I used my giantdwarf felt stash that I just got... still loving it! Buttons are Papertrey & baker's twine. Nothing complicated here - lol!

Other challenges this cards is entered into:
Pile It On - Anything goes
Bunny Zoe's Crafts - Love is in the Air
One Stitch at a Time - New (the felt)
Secret Crafter - With love
Stamp Something - Anything goes
Pals Paper Arts - Valentines (photo inspiration)

Bye for now...

WHIMSICAL GIRL: THE KISS / CS #20, PPA #76 & SGC #10...

Here a little card I whipped up before work this morning as the kids drank their milk & watched Timmy Time... I used a Bee Crafty digi, Whimsical Girl: The Kiss. Isn't it the cutest?!?

< div="" style="text-align: right;">

I based this card on an awesome sketch I found over at Cardabilities. This seemed perfect for Pals Paper Arts' Valentine theme & Southern Girls (I'm a southern girl in the US - but I think these southern girls are farther south than me!) totally loved up theme.

I love saving all my ribbon scraps to add to buttons at a later date for some added "flair". Actually I hate throwing ANYTHING away, just ask my hubby! He wanted to help me clean my craft area one time and promptly stopped when he heard me screeching... he was throwing away bits if ribbon and paper - LOL!

Other challenges for this card:
Pile It On - Children
Stamp Something - Digi Day
Crafty Card Makers - Red & a die cut
Scrap-Creations - Love is in the air
Stampin' B's - Die cuts

Have a great day!

DREAMING OF HER WEDDING DAY / PDCC #53 & PPA #66...

I was thinking about this image today since my brother is getting married next week. When I saw the color challenge about an hour ago my plan started to come together! Who needs sleep anyway, right?

This image is just so delicate and lovely! It's called "Dreaming of Her Wedding Day" from A Day for Daisies. I just love it!

I used 2 challenges for this card - the Play Date Cafe's color challenge and Pals Paper Arts sketch! I decided to let the image speak for itself and just embellish it a little.

Bye for now...

THINGS I LOVE / EBKCC #20 & PPA #38...

I missed the deadline on this sketch challenge, but I loved the sketch & had to use it anyway...

Julie has a super swell color challenge over at Easy Breezy Kewl right now... I just love it! And Margaret's sketch from last week at Pals Paper Arts was awesome, as usual - I just hate I missed the deadline!

I've really been lovin' the houndstooth pattern lately, and have almost used up all my b&w houndstooth paper from the retired Night & Day DSP from Stampin' Up!. (Hoping they bring it back in SOME form....hint, hint) I remembered last week that SU! used to have a houndstooth background stamp, so I tracked one down & bought one that had never even been inked. I got it in the mail on Monday & here it is - I inked it with black & stamped it onto kraft - LOVE IT! Now I can go crazy & have houndstooth in ANY COLOR I want - YAY! The stamps are also from Stampin' Up!, called Things I Love.... aren't they darling?

Bye for now...

WINTER POSTage / PPA#17 & EBKCC10...

"It's the most wonderful time of the year...." Christmas cards are probably my favorite to make!

Another great sketch from Pals Paper Arts this week... I LOVE IT & I really loved Julie's colors at Easy Breezy Kewl color challenge... both challenges made me find another way to use this beautiful, vintage-y set, Winter Post from Stampin' Up!... the sentiment is frm a set called Christmas Greetings.

Thanks for stopping in!

HOLIDAY LOUNGE~y~ness / USSIS #29 & PPA15...

I should know better than to try to re-create a sketch from memory...

... so obviously when I did this card I made a couple mistakes! The sketch is from Unscripted Sketches, and I combined it with the colors from this week's Pals Paper Arts challenge.

I love these colors & they coordinate with SU!'s dsp, Holiday Lounge, which coordinates with Delightful Decorations & the matching punch! I used my trusty ornament punch & punched out about 10 ornaments, folded them in half & pasted them together (exactly like I did in a previous challenge with the scallop circle pumpkins.) The ornament's string is from Berry Christmas & the sentiment is retired.

Thanks so much for looking!

A BEST FRIEND IS... / PPA14, SSSC #42 & CSCC56...

In my blog surfing tonight I found this cute little punch purse on LeeAnn's site... hers has a bit of a different shape & a cute little latch... so I didn't copy it exactly...

It's been a long time since I played along with the Cinema Saturday Creative Challenge, but since Pals Paper Arts was doing a pink themed challenge for Breast Cancer Awareness, I thought it might be fun to combine them! I used Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch, too - isn't it a great one?!?

I used dsp & cardstock in Pink Pirouette (retired) and Pretty in Pink. For the purse, I used the set Circle Circus, and the sentiment is from Full of Life.

Thanks for stopping by!

AUTUMN SPLENDORific THANKS / 2S4Y #36 & PPA9 & PEC #34...

Well, I found a few more minutes this evening to stamp... the weather here will be cooler this week, so I'm hoping fall is finally on its way!

This card fit the bill for 3 challenges tonight, 2 Sketches 4 You #36, Pals Paper Arts #9 - which is a new one for me, and Pink Elephants Recipe Challenge!

I used a beautiful set from Stampin' Up!'s Holiday Mini Catty, called Autumn Splendor, which will make a nice manly set after fall is no more! On the base of the card I used the Woodgrain background stamp, also manly! I stamped the leaves in Chocolate Chip onto mulberry paper & watercolored the greenish brown background & then used markers to color in the leaves. For the 3-D-ish leaves, I stamped them onto Crushed Curry, Dusty Durango & Always Artichoke, used a little marker on them, cut them out, crumpled them up & stuck them on! Hemp twine (some of it colored with a marker), a mustard button, a big eyelet & 'Give Thanks' (from a hostess set) finish it off!

Thanks for stopping in & have a great day!
