Suzy Bee's Blooming Challenge Blog Challenge #55 - Optional Twist Vintage

This week at Suzy Bee's Blooming Challenge Blog our wonderful sponsor is Sparkle "n Sprinkle!!!! Of course it's Anything Goes but this week with an optional twist - Vintage!!! I love the look of vintage shabby chic and the image of Isabelle Hat Lady was the purrfect image for me to use!!!

My grandmother's younger sister, Lila, always had been a fashionista. I can remember her either coming to Pittsburgh or returning to Illinois, she would dress with a fancy hat, gloves and of course her fur - Isabelle reminds me of my Aunt Lila!!!

RECIPE and SUPPLIES:

  • taupe Recollection card stock was cut 8.5 x 5.5 inches for a size A2 card and scored at 4.25 inches
  • Recollections Fashionably Chic is the background for both the front and inside of my card
  • Martha Stewart Eyelet Border Punch was used on the front left side and inside of my card on the right side extending just a bit over the edge
  • score middle section for mountain folds at 1.75 inches and 6.75 inches
  • Isabelle was colored with Spectrum NoirMarkers, Whisper Strokes Markers, Prisma Colored Pencils with gel pen accents and chalked around the edges
  • hat with hat stand was cut using Cricut Heritage Cartridge cut at 3.25 inches and then made fashionable with red flowers which had been included with a happy card from a dear friend, Edwina Brown and an added 1/8-inch red Darice Satin Ribbon with Queen & Co. red pearls in the center of the red flowers and a red pearl attached to the ribbon
  • feather was added to Isabelle's hat along with a Queen & Co. Pearl in the center of the flower on her hat
  • ivory chiffon lace flower was added to Isabelle's coat (makes her look more and more like Aunt Lila!)
  • sentiment, "You inner beauty never needs make-up", was a previous freebie from Create with TLC  which has rounded corners and chalked around the edges and mounted on scraps from the front cardstock

I thank you for stopping by and visiting today. Don't forget to showcase your project on Susy Bee's Bloomin' Challenge Blog this week to enter in the Challenge!!!
