Two for Tuesday - Part II

Welcome back for Part II of Two for Tuesday - Crazy for Cricut is having a bookmark challenge and I'm in "challenge" mode. "Summer reading. Make a bookmark to show how you save your place in your favorite family book!" were the recipe to follow. With this wealth of knowledge, I remember reading to my daughter when she was younger - ok, she's 31 now and mother of my adorable 5-month old granddaughter, Lily, but I can still remember reading to her "Good Night Moon". After finishing reading the book, she would then get out of bed and tell everything in her room good night. Wonderful fond memories. Being armed with this, I made a bookmark to give to Lily for her mom to read this book to her also as family tradition.

Recipe for Bookmark:
Tag cut with George Cartridge cut at 5 inches with black sparkly paper
Moon (cut at 2.75 inches) and Star (cut at 1.75 inches) cut with Create a Critter and scrap paper
Moon and Star attached with puff dots
Purple and Aqua ribbon attached
Used White Gel pain to write the words from one of the pages

Happy reading!

Don't forget to add Goodnight Moon to your child/grandchild's reading list!

God Bless

Two for Tuesday Special

Good Morning everyone!!!! I have decided to do 2 challenges for this week, thus its Two for Tuesday.....

My first challenge that I had wanted to enter is Scrapaholic Sketchy Saturday. This is where she has a layout not only for a card but for a page in a scrapbook. Alright, I know this is following a layout again and I don't follow instructions, color in the lines and march to the beat of the tuba player, but I had a blast doing this one and hope you enjoy!!!

This is my interpretation of her sketch with her sketch posted below:

This is the sketch she has posted as the template:

Recipe:

Card was cut, brace yourself, not with A Child's Year but with my papercutter 11 x 5.75 inches and then folded in half with the top left side cut in oval with the polka dot paper

On my E2 is cartridges built in one of which is Cricut Decals where the cute adorable cricut was found and cut at 2.50 inches cut with the lime green

Circles cut from George Cartridge first cut at 2.75 (black) and second cut at 3.00 (pink) inches and embossed using Cuttlebug Swirls on Cuttlebug on the pink

Oval cut from George Cartridge at 3-inches embossed using Sizzix Damask on Cuttlebug in purple

Leaf cut from Accent Essentials cut at 1.75 inches in orange

Paper strips from my scraps

Ribbons from my stash drawer

Floral bling bling Rhinestones on the right side

*** All papers were from my stash bin

Hope you enjoy my card and hop on over to The Scrapholic and check out not only her challenges but she does offer free svg files with another challenge! She is a very talented lady and a must stop on everyone's blog loving!

Ember's 2nd Birthday Card

We went to Ember's, a 2 year old's, birthday party on Friday and wanted to incorporate several of my cartridges because I couldn't decide upon just one. Abby Gadaby is from Sesame Street Friends (the fairy in training) was cut at 6.25 with added bling of rhinestones for her wand. The card was cut with A Child's Year cartridge (of course one of my fav's!) using Sweet Treats paper.

Check out Abby's birthday crown which is cut from Once Upon a Princess -- these crowns are great as they have numbers which are cut inside. Of course, I used the number "2" for Ember's 2nd birthday with the added bling of rhinestones to decorate the tips of the crown! These are perfect colors for a little 2 year old princess of pink and purple!

The inside of the card I used Once Upon a Princess as it has an adorable phrase of Magical which was cut at 2.50, George cartridge has a great Birthday Blessings phrase also cut at 2.50 and ember cut using the Alphabet which is built into the E2.

I absolutely love my Xyron with the phrases and letters for the card with less mess plus while I'm cutting I insert the little pieces and this way when I am finished cutting, I have all my little pieces in one place glued and ready to go to finish!

Hugs and love,

Lynne
