Pittsburgh City of Champions

I love making these Mug Rugs as they are made entirely in the hoop of my Embroidery Machine (her name is Thelma on good days!!!) including the machine quilting!!!

Today's Mug Rug is a skyline of my hometown, the city of Pittsburgh which was an image for Julia's Needle USA City Skylines III combined with Oma's Place Bonnet Rug Plain:

As you can see, I use the city of Champions colors - black and gold!

I love these as they are a little bigger than a coaster and smaller than a placemat and purrfect to place a glass of wine, cup of tea or coffee along with a snack such as a cookie, brownie, or piece of chocolate and are completely washable!!! They can be mailed using just a standard stamp in a 5x7 envelope!!!!

This includes a top layer of fabric and the bottom fabric, stabilizer, and a layer of batting - better yet, you can combine these with any of the Pittsburgh Sports Teams Microwave Bowl Cozies.

I appreciate and love reading your comments - and hoping you leave me some bloggie love.

Much love, hugs, and friendship

Sun Bonnet Sue Wishes You a Happy Birthday!!!

I love making these Mug Rugs as they are made entirely in the hoop of my Embroidery Machine (her name is Thelma on good days!!!) Today's Mug Rug is for the women for the birthday and I have also made these for Mother's Day this past month, called Bonnet Mug Rug from Oma's Place. For those that know me, I'm a quilter from way back when and I just love the little Sunbonnet Sue's!!!

This includes a top layer of fabric and the bottom fabric, stabilizer, and a layer of batting - better yet, I can do special orders or these are made completely using scraps!!! I originally made a few Microwave Bowl Cozies and the scraps became these Mug Rugs - great combination gift!!!

These were a big hit at my last craft show and hoping they will be also on June 17th in Jamestown, PA.

I appreciate and love reading your comments - and hoping you leave me some bloggie love.
