#40 Wild Card - It's Your Day

Hi everyone! Here is a card I made for Emma's Throwback Thursday challenge at My Creative Time. We were asked to used either the Wild Card cartridge or the Just Because Cards cartridge and to include a stamped sentiment on our project. Since I used Just Because cards a couple weeks ago ( it was #24 on my cartridge list), I decided to give Wild Card a try!
I made my card and envelope at 5 1/2". In the handbook illustration, the card I chose used a heart around the circle cut-out but there were two other options to choose from - a sun or a swirly circle. I chose the sun.

The bird on the branch image is also from the Wild Card cartridge and comes from the frame feature of a different card. I flipped it so the bird would be facing the outside of the card.

The face stamp is by Peachy Keen Stamps from the Happy Lashes Face Assortment.

The other stamps are by Studio G (the dollar stamps at Michaels)

Hope you like it!

Imagination Monday Challenge - Chinese New Year

Hi everyone! This week the Imagination Monday Challenge hosted by My Creative Time and Pink Cricut was a tough one for me! The task was to create any project using our Imagine machines with the theme of Chinese New Year.
I am still in awe of the Imagine machine! I can't believe that I made this card using only white paper!
The Imagine cartridge I used was JT. The dragon was an image from that cartridge, I changed the colours of the layers and printed and cut them as one image. All of the other cuts were from regular cricut cartridges, then I used the JT cartridge to print them in colour or pattern to match my dragon.
The circle card is from Wild Card, "Chinese New Year" is from Designer's Calendar and the circle is from George and Basic Shapes.
For some final touches, I added some thick stitching in black pen around the circle and some gold bling for the dragon's eye.
Hope you like it!

The dark blue circle was cut from George and Basic Shapes at 5"

Throwback Thursday - Wild Card!

Hi everyone! This week at My Creative Time Emma is having another Throwback Thursday challenge! For this challenge, the task was to create a card for our favorite holiday featuring the Wild Card cartridge. This cartridge has always been a challenge for me by itself :-)! My favorite holiday is Halloween so I chose to use the little monster card. I used my gypsy to hide the facial features so I could use my Peachy Keen Monster face on him. I went around the edges of the monster with a black ink pad to give him sort of a grungy look. I used the envelope feature to make the matching envelope. The patterned paper I used is by Martha Stewart crafts and the cardstock is Bazzill.

Thanks for looking!

Boxed note card set

Hi everyone! For this weeks Fantabulous Cricut challenge the task was to create a 3D project featuring the colour black. I chose to make this cute little set of three cards and a little box to put them in. The box was cut using Wild Card, the bicycle is from Stretch Your Imagination and the flowers and butterflies are from Gypsy Wanderings. The cards are all 3X3 in size. Another fun project!

Puppy Get Better Card

I made this card for the Cricut Cardz challenge #21. The cartridges I used are Paper Pups, George and Basic Shapes, and Wild Card. I also used my Design Studio software. First I put two doghouses from the PP cartridge on the DS mat then welded them together to form the card shape, then layered a rectangle over each house piece so it wouldn't cut out the door. I cut out the puppy with the same cartridge, the "Get Better" from Wild Card and the ovals from George. I cut the roof with scissors and placed on the card.
