#64 Feeling Groovy - I'd Rather Be Creating

Hi everyone! Hope you've been having a great week! Not so good on the weather side of things here - it's blizzarding outside! YUCK!!! I thought I woke up in December this morning instead of April. Hopefully, it doesn't stay long! Looking out the windows was pretty depressing so I locked myself downstairs in my craft room and created this layout for the Cricut Circle Blog weekly challenge. The challenge this week was to create a layout about something that "bugs" us and to include some bug cuts on our project. The thing that bugs me most is how fast my house gets messy and pretty much any cleaning but I didn't want to show you pictures of my messy house LOL. I thought I would limit it to one task and since there was a huge pile of laundry to do, I snapped a photo of that. The cartridges I used are: Feeling Groovy - "Laundry really bugs me" Chore Chart - Laundry basket Doodlecharms - Bugs Wall Decor and More - Clothesline Cricut Everyday - "I'd Rather Be Creating" and bug head The cardstock and patterned paper are by American Crafts. Hope you like it!

Thrift Store Find Challenge

Hi everyone! This month the Cricut Circle Magazine challenged us to search our local thrift store for something we could redo to give it a fresh look. My thrift store didn't have a whole lot for me to work with but as soon as I saw this easel and frame set I knew it was meant for me! It cost $1.98

I covered the wood with two layers of gesso, then sprayed two glimmer mists (Timeless Lilac and Rum Raisin) over just the frame.

The Cricut cartridges I used were:

A Child's Year - fairy (cut at 4")

Accent Essentials - 3D flower (used three flowers cut at 2 1/2")

Picturesque - frame (cut at 5 3/4")

Wall Decor & More - "imagine" (cut from vinyl and etched into the glass) and border (cut at 1 1/2")

Hannah Montana - butterflies (cut at 1 1/2")

Other supplies:

Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist - Timeless Lilac, Rum Raisin, Marshmallow

Patterned Paper - Paper Adventures, ProvoCraft and unknown from my paper stash

Cardstock - Close to My Heart (Colonial White), Paper Reflections (Purple glitter)

Ink - Close to My Heart (Pansy Purple) and Staz On (Jet Black)

Stamps - Baroque Motifs - Stampin' Up! (Flourish), Ultimate Grunge - Tim Holtz (background stamped on handmade flower pieces)

Bling - Prima and Me & My Big Ideas

Flowers - Prima

Lace Trim

Hope you like it! Thank you for stopping by my blog!

Fall Wall Layout

Hi everyone! I bought this scrapbook layout frame a few months ago and couldn't think of anything to put in it. Last weekend, it was Thanksgiving in Canada and at my sister's we all took pictures of our children under the tree in their backyard. These are my little hooligans! As I was taking the pictures, I actually thought of this frame and decided that was what I would do with the photo.
I used my newest CTMH paper collection for the background - Olivia.
The cartridges I used are Simply Charmed (scarecrows), Create a Critter (puppy), Wall Decor & More (title), Straight from the Nest (leaves).
The face stamps are by Peachy Keen Stamps. The sets I used are Basic Paper Doll Face Assortment (scarecrows), Critter Faces Medium (puppy), Everyday Character Face Assortment (leaves).

I am entering this project in two challenges:

Fantabulous Cricut - On the Wall

Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge - "Let's Face it Friday" challenge - fall themed home decor item using Peachy Keen face stamps

Hope you like my creation! It is going to look great in our family room!

If you're new here or haven't stopped by this week be sure to enter my cartridge giveaway HERE. I will be drawing the winner Monday morning!
