Thanks for Your Smallaa Votes and Support, Better Luck Next Time

First off, I'd like to thank the fourteen (14) of you who took the time to register for Smallaa and to vote for my post. It always makes me smile to see the way members of our blogging community, whether you visit through BlogExplosion's Battle of the Blogs or EntreCard, come out to support each other every day.

Next, I need to tell you that I didn't win this week's $10,000 Smallaa contest. Even though the very first Smallaa winner had only one to three votes, 14 votes were not enough to carry the second week of the contest. Last week's winner was Johnny Virgil's "15 Minute Launch" with 258 votes.

I've got to run off to the office, but I'd encourage you all to check out Smallaa and consider submitting a post for this week's contest...leave me a comment and I'll be happy to vote for you and to promote your post. I may try again this week or next, but given the number of votes required to win, I won't be putting the pressure on my loyal Roxiticus Desperate Housewives readers again, unless it is to support one of my blogosphere buddies' contest entries.

Shameless Self-Promotion: Last Chance to Vote for My Post on Smallaa, Next Week Will Be Your Turn for $10,000!

Over the long Thanksgiving weekend here in the U.S., I happened to notice an ad on my Google AdSense widget. What caught my eye was a new web thingy called Smallaa... it's sort of a social networking Twitter-like site, and they're paying $10,000 each week for the most popular post. Having spent almost a year getting serious about blogging, surfing the blogosphere through BlogExplosion and EntreCard, I've made quite a few friends and find there is a nice, cohesive community of bloggers who support each other's efforts. Those of you who have come to know me through my Roxiticus Desperate Housewives blog also know that I'm always up for a little friendly competition, so I entered my humorous Music Monday post into the Smallaa contest this week (ending Tuesday, December 2nd).
