Bundle of Joy -My Craft Spot Project

Hello everyone, each Monday there is a new challenge at My Craft Spot this week is challenge #97... that's a lot of challenges, and there is always something fun to challenge you and get your creative juices going.
This weeks challenge...
Invitations and Announcements
(baby, graduate, wedding, parties - we want to see them all!)

This is a post card style pocket card that I made into a baby announcement.
I started with an 4 1/4" x 8 1/2" piece of cardstock, folded it in half then cut 1 1/2" off the top.
I had fun incorporating several stamp sets from My Craft Spot in designing this card.
I used the Postage Stamp stamp set along with the coordinating Postage Stamp metal die. The "it's a Girl" is from the Bundle of Joy stamp set.
These adorable pink feet are cut from the New Arrival cricut cartridge found on pg. 110 of the handbook and cut at 3 3/4"
I used the Scalloped Diamond border punch from EK Success, on the brown piece of cardstock.
I used my sewing machine to sew all around the card.
My announcement pulls out of the pocket, it would also be fun to place a photo in the pocket as well.
The Bundle of Joy phrase is from the New Arrival stamp set, along with the individual words name:, length: etc.
Close us of the announcement
The tiny postage stamp images on the announcement card are from the Postage Stamp stamp set, the words in the circle read "special delivery" ... so appropriate right!

Baby Shower Diaper Cake

I've created another diaper cake for a baby shower, and this time it is for a baby boy. The first diaper cake I made was for a baby girl baby shower and I shared photos of how I put the cake together, you can view the details -HERE if you would like to see.
Just before I headed out to the baby shower I made this matching ducky shape card, using the New Arrival Cricut cartridge I welded two ducks together with my gypsy, then cut one green duck for the front layer, then yellow for the bill . I didn't save the file so I don't have the measurement of the card, but I believe it as approximately 4" high. For the eye I just used two sizes of hole punches.
The BABY is from the Alphalicious Cricut cartridge and welded together before cutting.
This was a super quick card and looks great with this diaper cake.
Thanks so much for visiting :)

Baby Booties Card

Woo Hoo challenge #12 at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog.

Our friend Amy from Chomas Creations will be donating a Gel Pen Holder and pens to fit the holder for this weeks challenge #12 winner a $29 value. Go visit Amy's blog today -HERE!

Challenge #12
Shower the Baby:
Create a project that has something to do with a baby shower. Example; invitation, card, gift, baby album etc...

I made a simple baby card, using the New Arrival cricut cartridge. What is great about this cartridge is that it has a "card" feature, great for making quick and easy cards that look super cute.
I used DCWV "The Glitter Stack" for the card, the the solid glitter stack for the booties, the bow is just white cardstock.

This card is on page 107 of the New Arrival handbook, I used card 2 feature and the shift key.
To add just a little extra to my card; from the same page I cut out two booties at size 1 1/4" (one bootie I used the "flip" key). The bow was cut at 1", it doesn't line up perfectly on my card but cutting the bow at 3/4" was just too small. Even though the booties and the bow are just a little larger than the size in the window of the card, I really like the look it gave.
I added thick white thread for the stitching on the booties, and pop-dots to lift them off the card, a small glue dot in the center of the bow for the adhesive.

To close off the window I cut a piece of yellow cardstock at 5" x 4" and glued the the inside of the card.I hope you'll join us for the challenge at FCCB and show us your baby creations, and come see the wonderful baby ideas the design team has created -HERE.

Congratulations -diaper cake card

Remember that cute diaper cake I posted the other day, if you missed it view it Here.
I made a super easy card to go with the cake, I just forgot to post it, here it is.

I used New Arrival cricut cartridge, card 2 feature (shift) on page 88. I cut it at 5 1/4"

I tied a piece of green twill through the window, then glued 3 layers of pink twill to place over the window on the inside of the card.

I cut a piece of cardstock approx. 4" x 5" to place over the messing looking twill. An now the front looks great!
I added an extra flower from the diaper cake on to the front of the card. (I showed how I made bends in the flower on my diaper cake post).

Sweet -Baby Card

Today I made a sweet and simple baby card using the "New Arrival" Cricut cartridge.

For the bootie and the word I used Stampin' Up shimmery cardstock, I love how it looks. For the word "sweet" pg. 123 I traced useing a gel pen in my cricut expressions machine, I'll show you on another post how I did that.
The bootie is on pg. 107 since there were already slits I added light blue organdy ribbon I liked to look it gave.Have a wonderfully creative day!
Robin :)
