Hello Friend

Hello everyone, I'm sharing a fun card with you using three metal die sets available from My Craft Spot. This is being featured over at My Craft Spot today.
The metal dies I used are the Tiny Banners & Toppers, Small Alphabet and the brand new Word Quotes as well as Posy Baker Twine, all are available in the My Craft Spot shop -HERE.

I love the new Word Quote die and have already made several cards using this die. I have made a few photo tutorials on my blog of ideas on how to use this 4 piece metal die set, view the tutorials -HERE.

The banner was fun to make, I just cut 5 of the banners to use from the Tiny Banner metal die set, added a flower on each banner using the Small Alphabet metal die set, the letters were cut from that set as well.
I strung each banner on a piece of Posy Baker Twine.  The bows I tied individually then hot glued them the end of each banner.
I used one die from the Word Quotes die set ... the word "friend" (remember to save the dot for the "i") I cut it directly on a 5 1/4" x 4" piece of patterned paper.
Close up of the banner.
And even closer.
Thanks so much for visiting my blog today, have a wonderfully creative day!

Day 5 -Build A Birthday ~New Release

Hello all my friends, I hope you have followed along this week for the fabulous Stamp Release Party for My Craft Spot, I know the design team and I have really enjoyed sharing many inspiring projects with and today, day 5, the inspiration continues.
We are showing a sneak peek of the new Build a Birthday stamp set designed by Kimberly.
I also used the new Word Quotes and the new Fancy Edges 2 metal die sets for my card as well as Vintage Chocolate Bakers Twine.
All brand new stamp sets and metal dies from this weeks release will be available to purchase tomorrow.
This stamp set is fun to put together different birthday word fonts, the phrases are also cute whimsical phrases as well.
I cut two quote bubbles from the solid Word Quote metal die and layer one over the other, just off setting it to create a shadow effect. I stamped one of the super cute phrases from the Build A Birthday on the bubble.
The star border is perfect on birthday cards, it is from the Fancy Edges 2 metal die set that I designed for My Craft Spot, there are 7 great images in this set. All the little stars that are die cut can be used as confetti, or as I used it places them all over my card.... it just screams "celebration"!!
The "happy" & "birthday" words are two separate stamps from the Build A Birthday stamp set, there are other words to mix and match too... fun stamp set!
I added a bit of Vintage Chocolate bakers twine around my card.
Inside of the card using the star border.
Thanks for joining me for day 5 of the sneak peeks, please join us tomorrow for the My Craft Spot blog hop where the design team will once again inspire you with more projects using one of the 5 new stamp sets and metal dies. Day 2 -Jar Full of Christmas Stamp Set

I am loving this stamp release party and hope you are to! Today is day 2 of the party for My Craft Spot and we are giving you a sneak peek at another stamp set... Jar Full of Christmas
This stamp set coordinates perfectly with the Jar Basics stamp set and metal dies that was released in September.  You are going to love all the fun Christmas and Winter theme images in this stamp set. Once again Kimberly has given me the opportunity to design this stamp set. Thanks Kimberly.

The Jar Full of Christmas stamp set features several images that are great to place inside of the jars from the Jar Basics stamp set, or can be stamped without the jar as well.
I love these peppermint candies in this set, I'll share some fun tips on how to stamp these images in a future video.
The "happy Holidays" is from the Jar Full of Christmas stamp set which I stamped on a cut out using our Ticket metal die set; I cut this twice, once on white cardstock and next on vellum, then just layered them on top of each other off centered.
The doily on the card is the 4" doily metal die available from My Craft Spot.
I used my Copic marker C1 to add a bit of color to the jar and the candy jar lid.
I stamped several of the candies directly on the jar using the masking technique, then stamped the candy wrapper on cardstock vellum, I then stamped the candy swirl in red ink on white cardstock punched it out using a 3/4" hole punch. I hand cut around the candy wrappers then glued the candy swirl in the center of the candy wrapper. Tied the jar using Christmas Candy Cane bakers twine.
The black border is a Martha Stewart punch, scalloped dot.
 Side view of the card.
I added a few more candies to the inside of my card.
Thanks so much for visiting!

Day 5 -Jar Full of Fall Stamp Set

Hello all my friends, I hope you have followed along this week for the fabulous Stamp Release Party for My Craft Spot, I know the design team and I have really enjoyed sharing many inspiring projects with you as today, day 5, the inspiration continues.
We are showing a sneak peek of the new Jar Full of Fall stamp set, that I designed coordinates with the Jar Basic stamp set

The new Jar Full of Fall has so many great Fall images you are going to love. I used the candy corn which has two sizes, as well and the word "October" the word "sweet" is from the Jar Basics stamp set. The bakers twine is Orange Licorice that I tied around the jar.
My banner that I stamped the words on was cut from the Lacy Banners metal die, I cut two banners one from white card stock and the other from black, then layered the black behind the white and added some fun zig zag stitching using my sewing machine.
The black border was punched with the EK Success Swirls border punch.
There are two fun sizes of candy corn in this stamp set, so I stamped two large corns directly on  the jar, then stamped two more large and four small on cardstock then cut them out by hand added them on the card using pop-up dots.
I used Copic markers to color the jar and candy corn. The inside edges of the jar: C1, the candy corn yellow: Y18, Y21 the orange area: YR04, YR07.
Tied the jar with Orange Licorice baker twine, and used thick foam tape to pop-up the candy jar lid.
Inside of the card, I added one more hand cut large candy corn.
Thanks for joining me for day 5 of my sneak peek, please join us tomorrow for the My Craft Spot blog hop where the design team will once again inspire you with more projects using one of the 5 new stamp sets or metal dies, also each design team members (including myself) will be giving away one of the 5 stamp sets or metal dies, generously provided by Kimberly.

Make A Splash -Fantabulous Cricut Challenge

Hello everyone, I'm so glad you joined me today.
Each monday brings two great challenges, one from Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog and My Craft Spot to see my post for the My Craft Spot challenge please click -HERE.

Today's challenge for Fantabulous Cricut is...
Make a Splash
Create a project with a water theme (pool, beach, water park etc.)

I used Life's a Beach Cricut cartidge along with Sammy the Seal he's a digi image, more details about him below.
Our sponsor at FCCB this week is The Paper Nest

They have generously given the design team members a few of their adorable digital images to create with.  I'm using Circus Seal Sammy, he can be found -HERE. Sammy is super cute and just had to go to the beach to play today!

It's been a while since I've picked up my copic markers, oh and it felt so good to color again. The colors I used are C1, C3 & C5 for the seal, the ball and fluffy collar... yellows, Y00, Y13 & Y18, reds R22, R24 & R29.
I still feel like an amateur and continue learning different copic coloring techniques.
For my scene at the beach I used the Life's a Beach cricut cartridge, the waves are on page 77 of the handbook and were cut at 1 1/2", the beach chair on pg. 81 cut at 2 1/4" and the seagulls on pg. 79 cut at 1 1/2".
My life preserve is cut from the Tiny Doilies metal dies I stamped the words using the Stampin' Around Summer stamp set, the twine is Cherry Red.  All these items can be purchased from My Craft Spot store -HERE
I added a bit of inking on the beach chair using Tim Holtz Vintage Photo, the edge of the card is inked using Tea Die ink. Then just added a few black dots on the sand.
 Inside of my card
Now head over to FCCB and take a look at the inspiring projects made by the FCCB design team -HERE and join us for this weeks challenge Make a Splash.
Also remember to go check out the products in The Paper Nest store -HERE.

Sending Hugs and Kisses

Hi Crafters, I've made a quick and easy get well card to share with you, it's being featured over at My Craft Spot today.
I used the new Stampin' Around Summer stamp set, the Tiny Doilies metal dies, Kraft Bakers Twine and Caribbean Crinkle Ribbon all available at in the My Craft Spot shop -HERE.
My cute heart balloon was cut from the Create A Critter cricut cartridge at 3 3/4" and on page 49 of the handbook. I cut only two layers; the black and the pink polka dot with the holes for the face, I then hand cut a small piece of white cardstock to place behind the "highlight" area. I tied the balloon using Kraft bakers twine.
The clouds were also cut from Create A Critter they can be found on pg. 65 of the handbook, I cut two sizes, 1" and 3/4".
I really like this sentiment from the Stampin' Around Summer stamp set, I love the medicine bottle image, as well as the tiny heart that I stamped inside the bottle.
There are two get well circle sentiments as well as several images in the Stampin' Around Summer set that are prefect for your get well cards.
I stamped the images on pieces of card stock that were cut out using the Tiny Doilies metal die set
Below is an above view of how I layered the Tiny Doilies,  I cut out two of the "donut" shaped images one using pink card stock, the second using craft foam so I could pop the sentiment up. The extra smaller circle from the craft foam (the donut hole), I added it behind the doily to pop it up from the Caribbean crinkle ribbon.
For the inside of the card I added three of the images from the Stampin' Around Summer stamp set.
Side view of card.
Thanks so much for visiting my blog today, have a wonderfully creative day!

Robin (you are here)

I'm thrilled to share my "blog hop" project with you and I couldn't resist grabbing my Ticket and Postage Stamp Sets, along with the coordinating dies that go with each set.
When I designed these two stamp sets I had in mind that both of these sets would work together oh so well! So her is my project using both the Ticket and Postage Stamp set with both coordinating dies.
Side view of my card, I used foam tape to pop up the postage stamps.
I inked all the edges of my papers using Memento Peanut Brittle ink.
The bicycle die is from Shadow Box.
The crinkle ribbon color I used is Sky Blue, and the twine is Vintage Chocolate. Both are available at My Craft Spot.
I used the tiny Ticket metal dies to cut out the images below. The border and words "Happy Day" are from the Ticket Stamp Set. I used thread and a needle to attach the tiny tickets to the bow.
The words Live and Laugh are both from the Ticket Stamp Set, the word Love and the accent image is from the Postage Stamp set, I love how these two sets work so well together.
