Happy Anniversary Card Join our Challenge at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog

Hi, so glad you joined me on my card share today.
I am so excited to be back with Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog and joining the bi-monthly challenges.

This weeks challenge: Anniversary Theme

I am so blessed to have wonderful parents who lovingly cared for me and took me to church every Sunday, which definatly gave me a strong foundation in life.  And today, October 29, happens to be my Mom and Dads anniversary... yep today, so below is my card I mailed to them for their anniversary.

I designed this card in Cricut Design Space using the Sweetheart cartridge, the images I used are the heart and the word love.
I used American Crafts vanilla cardstock, Recollections gold cardstock and patterned paper from my stash.
I had fun adding layers to give stunning dimension, the heart and love word were cut out 4 times each with the vanilla cardstock then I glued one on top of the other.  I hand stamped Happy Anniversary using Lawn Fawn stamp set "Happy Happy Happy" in black ink.
I randomly added white sticky pearls from my stash of supplies.
Close up look of the layered dimension

Come over to Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog to check out the other wonderful anniversary projects from the design team -HERE.

And join the challenge.  Our sponsor for this challenge is from Dreaming Tree, they have amazing SVG files in their shop and several freebies ;)  go check them out.  The lucky winner of the Fantabulous Cricut challenge is a $10 gift certificate.

Hello Friend

Hello everyone, I'm sharing a fun card with you using three metal die sets available from My Craft Spot. This is being featured over at My Craft Spot today.
The metal dies I used are the Tiny Banners & Toppers, Small Alphabet and the brand new Word Quotes as well as Posy Baker Twine, all are available in the My Craft Spot shop -HERE.

I love the new Word Quote die and have already made several cards using this die. I have made a few photo tutorials on my blog of ideas on how to use this 4 piece metal die set, view the tutorials -HERE.

The banner was fun to make, I just cut 5 of the banners to use from the Tiny Banner metal die set, added a flower on each banner using the Small Alphabet metal die set, the letters were cut from that set as well.
I strung each banner on a piece of Posy Baker Twine.  The bows I tied individually then hot glued them the end of each banner.
I used one die from the Word Quotes die set ... the word "friend" (remember to save the dot for the "i") I cut it directly on a 5 1/4" x 4" piece of patterned paper.
Close up of the banner.
And even closer.
Thanks so much for visiting my blog today, have a wonderfully creative day!

Robin (you are here)
Here is a quick and easy card using the new Word Quotes metal die set as well as the new Fancy Edges 2 metal die set.
I have photo tutorials of how to use the Word Quotes on this post -HERE. check it out, you'll be glad you did.
The phone shape was cut using my Silhouette Cameo, I found the shape by just doing a google search.  I added a few lines and dots to the phone and also made a few faint score lines on each end of the phone as well.
I love the loopy phone cord, it's one of the metal dies from the Fancy Edges 2, there are 7 dies in this set, two of which are this loopy border shape, this is the smaller of the two. I did have to bend the loopy border a bit so I could get it to curve where I wanted before gluing it down.

I used the word die "hello" from the Word Quotes metal die set and cut it directly out of the printed patterned paper that was a 4" x 5 1/4" size, layered it directly on black cardstock measuring 4 1/8" x 5 3/8".  The card base was ivory cardstock size 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" folded.
Inside of the card, I added the same loopy border.
And now I'm so excited to give one of the new metal die sets away that I had the privilege of designing, this was donated by Kimberly -thank you Kimberly! Word Quotes metal die set (set of 4) will go to one fantabulous winner, for your chance to win, follow the steps below......

Day 5 -Build A Birthday ~New Release

Hello all my friends, I hope you have followed along this week for the fabulous Stamp Release Party for My Craft Spot, I know the design team and I have really enjoyed sharing many inspiring projects with and today, day 5, the inspiration continues.
We are showing a sneak peek of the new Build a Birthday stamp set designed by Kimberly.
I also used the new Word Quotes and the new Fancy Edges 2 metal die sets for my card as well as Vintage Chocolate Bakers Twine.
All brand new stamp sets and metal dies from this weeks release will be available to purchase tomorrow.
This stamp set is fun to put together different birthday word fonts, the phrases are also cute whimsical phrases as well.
I cut two quote bubbles from the solid Word Quote metal die and layer one over the other, just off setting it to create a shadow effect. I stamped one of the super cute phrases from the Build A Birthday on the bubble.
The star border is perfect on birthday cards, it is from the Fancy Edges 2 metal die set that I designed for My Craft Spot, there are 7 great images in this set. All the little stars that are die cut can be used as confetti, or as I used it places them all over my card.... it just screams "celebration"!!
The "happy" & "birthday" words are two separate stamps from the Build A Birthday stamp set, there are other words to mix and match too... fun stamp set!
I added a bit of Vintage Chocolate bakers twine around my card.
Inside of the card using the star border.
Thanks for joining me for day 5 of the sneak peeks, please join us tomorrow for the My Craft Spot blog hop where the design team will once again inspire you with more projects using one of the 5 new stamp sets and metal dies. Day 4 -Word Quotes ~new release

I can hardly believe we are here at day 4 of the Stamp Release Party for My Craft Spot, I'm having so much fun with these stamps and dies, I hope you are enjoying the new stamps and dies and all the creative projects!
Today we're sharing a sneak peek of the Word Quotes metal die set that I had the privilege of designing, this is a fun versatile set that will be great for your everyday projects.
Remember all new stamp sets and metal dies will be available for purchase at My Craft Spot on Saturday.

I have several photo tutorials below giving you a few ideas on how to use this metal die set. One of the things that I love about this set is you can make cards in just a few minutes, like I've done below.  I made 3"x3" note cards easy-peasy, the tiny heart and butterfly images I used are from the Small Alphabet metal die set.
more cards
The Word Quotes metal die is a set of 4; one solid quote bubble, and three quote bubbles with words... hello, friend and thank you.  Below is a photo tutorial of how I made the cards above.
1) cut out two quote bubbles using the solid die, I used a pattern cardstock and a solid cardstock.
2) take the solid cardstock bubble that was just cut and one of the word dies.
3) place it directly over the cardstock, there will be just a small edge of cardstock showing, secure with tape to keep it from moving while die cutting. Cut out with your choice of die cutting machines.
4) here is your cut out image, remove all the pieces in between the hello word.
5) now layer the "hello" word over the pattern cardstock you cut in picture #1.  Love it!!
Here is another fun idea using the Word Quote metal die...
1) Cut two of the word dies in two colors, I'm using glitter cardstock. Place a few pieces of tape behind the first hello in this case it's the pink hello, this will hold all those tiny pieces in place. keep all the negative pieces from the hello (the pieces you would normally throw away).
2)  Now place all the negative yellow pieces inside of the pink hello.
**Not shown I did decide to cut out a solid quote bubble and glue it on the back of the pink hello after adding all the negative pieces just so everything was secure before adhering it to my card.
How cool is this!!!  Creatively simple and I love the glitter, the butterfly is from the Small Alphabet metal die set.
And yet I have another idea to share...
1) I took a piece of patterned cardstock size 4 1/8" x 5 1/4" (use any size you like) then cut out one of the word quotes I used the word "friend" (save the dot for the "i" if you want to use it). Also cut out the same word quote in a solid cardstock (the first tutorial on this post shows how to cut this out.
2) Place the solid cardstock directly over the patterned paper matching up the word friend.
Decorate your card as desired.  I took a small piece of cardstock (big enough to fit behind the quote bubble), embossed it using the Cuttlebug embossing folder Divine Swirl.  Added a bit of Caribbean Crinkle ribbon from My Craft Spot along with a flower border from the new Fancy Edges 2 metal die.

Remember each day, there will be prizes at My Craft Spot, then on Saturday we'll have a design team Stamp Release Party Blog Hop with prizes at each blog along the way!
Join us everyday this week!!

Today we're featuring a stamp set titled Music designed by Kimberly, this stamp set has amazing music themed sentiments along with great images that you will enjoy.
All week long the design team has been showcasing a new metal die set, Fancy Edges 2, you may have seen it in their projects, so today I will be using it on my card along with a few of our past released metal dies, Flowers -Rolled Roses and the Heart Border.
The music note measure stamp image from this set I used it to design my own background on the cardstock.
The three flowers are from the Rolled Roses metal die that was release at the beginning of May there are two sizes from this set.  The leaves are hearts from the Heart Border metal die the swirls are from that same die.
The flower border at the bottom of my card is from the new Fancy Edges 2 metal die there are 7 dies in this set.
The Music stamp set is beautiful, I love this sentiment it just makes me smile.
I used my Spellbinder metal die for these two large flower shapes, the die is called Blossoms Three.

Day 2 -Robots ~New Release

I am loving this stamp release party and hope you are to! Today is day 2 of the party for My Craft Spot and we are giving you a sneak peek at another stamp set... Robots. This set is a fun block style font with sentiments that are perfect for Robot type of cards and projects.

All of the new stamps and metal dies will be available to purchase on Saturday

I couldn't resist grabbing my copper metallic cardstock again for this project, it was perfect for my gear images, I also used silver metallic cardstock.
I like the fun sentiment for this card.  Gears embossed background is an embossing folder made by The Paper Studio, the cardstock is make by Core'dinations, so after I embossed it I sanded so the core color would show through.
The gear images are cut using my Silhouette Cameo, the image was purchased from the Silhouette Online Store the images can be found -HERE. I also added a few gear image to the inside of my card.
Close up of the stamped image.
Thanks so much for visiting!

Day 1 -Clock Time ~New Releae

Let the party begin!!!  Today is day one of the week long Stamp Release Party at My Craft Spot.
Each day Kimberly and the design team (which I'm so happy to be a part of) will be sharing projects all week long from the four new stamp sets and two metal die sets, you are going to love these new stamp sets and metal dies which will be available to purchase on Saturday June 7th.

Woo Hoo... so much fun Right?  Join us everyday this week!!

Today we are featuring the Clock Time stamp set that Kimberly has designed, I also used the oldie but goodie 4" Doily metal die, the Tiny Doilies 2 metal die and the Tiny Doilies metal die sets for my project.
I came a cross this copper metallic cardstock that I've had in my stash for years and thought it would work prefect for my tick-tock clock card.  I love the sentiment in this stamp set.
Close up of the clock image, placed on top of a die cut image from the Tiny Doilies 2 metal die, which is then place on top of the 4" Doily metal die cut image.

I stamped the clock face with black ink then used gold embossing for the clock hands and added a brad the the center of the clock.
Below I have a photo tutorial of how I cut the clock image a prefect circle using the Tiny Doilies metal die set.
(This is the Tiny Doilies metal die there are 6 dies in this set)
I used the largest solid circle from this metal die set (upper left corner).
1) cut the circle from a scrap piece of cardstock, on a separate piece of cardstock stamp your image.
2) place the cut out circle cardstock directly over the stamped image secure with tape.
3) place the metal die in the circle cut out, you can feel it drop right into place, secure with tape to keep it from moving when die cutting.
4) die cut as you would any thin metal die using your machine of choice... "ta dah" perfectly cut circle.
Close up of sentiment from the Clock Time stamp set. I added a bit of copper cording again this has been in my stash for years.
Side view of card, I used pop-dots to lift the clock from the large doily.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog today, I hope you enjoyed my card.
