Day 4 -Word Quotes ~new release

I can hardly believe we are here at day 4 of the Stamp Release Party for My Craft Spot, I'm having so much fun with these stamps and dies, I hope you are enjoying the new stamps and dies and all the creative projects!
Today we're sharing a sneak peek of the Word Quotes metal die set that I had the privilege of designing, this is a fun versatile set that will be great for your everyday projects.
Remember all new stamp sets and metal dies will be available for purchase at My Craft Spot on Saturday.

I have several photo tutorials below giving you a few ideas on how to use this metal die set. One of the things that I love about this set is you can make cards in just a few minutes, like I've done below.  I made 3"x3" note cards easy-peasy, the tiny heart and butterfly images I used are from the Small Alphabet metal die set.
more cards
The Word Quotes metal die is a set of 4; one solid quote bubble, and three quote bubbles with words... hello, friend and thank you.  Below is a photo tutorial of how I made the cards above.
1) cut out two quote bubbles using the solid die, I used a pattern cardstock and a solid cardstock.
2) take the solid cardstock bubble that was just cut and one of the word dies.
3) place it directly over the cardstock, there will be just a small edge of cardstock showing, secure with tape to keep it from moving while die cutting. Cut out with your choice of die cutting machines.
4) here is your cut out image, remove all the pieces in between the hello word.
5) now layer the "hello" word over the pattern cardstock you cut in picture #1.  Love it!!
Here is another fun idea using the Word Quote metal die...
1) Cut two of the word dies in two colors, I'm using glitter cardstock. Place a few pieces of tape behind the first hello in this case it's the pink hello, this will hold all those tiny pieces in place. keep all the negative pieces from the hello (the pieces you would normally throw away).
2)  Now place all the negative yellow pieces inside of the pink hello.
**Not shown I did decide to cut out a solid quote bubble and glue it on the back of the pink hello after adding all the negative pieces just so everything was secure before adhering it to my card.
How cool is this!!!  Creatively simple and I love the glitter, the butterfly is from the Small Alphabet metal die set.
And yet I have another idea to share...
1) I took a piece of patterned cardstock size 4 1/8" x 5 1/4" (use any size you like) then cut out one of the word quotes I used the word "friend" (save the dot for the "i" if you want to use it). Also cut out the same word quote in a solid cardstock (the first tutorial on this post shows how to cut this out.
2) Place the solid cardstock directly over the patterned paper matching up the word friend.
Decorate your card as desired.  I took a small piece of cardstock (big enough to fit behind the quote bubble), embossed it using the Cuttlebug embossing folder Divine Swirl.  Added a bit of Caribbean Crinkle ribbon from My Craft Spot along with a flower border from the new Fancy Edges 2 metal die.

I love the speckled eggs in this set, I hand cut the eggs leaving just a hint of a white edge, I like that look.  I also stamped hand hand cut out the cute chocolate bunny and tucked him in and egg that I cut in half using an old pair of zig-zag scissors. I tucked all the eggs into three layers of the grass.

Below is the inside of my card, I used the other half of the egg and added a chocolate bunny... uh-oh... someone got hungry and took a bite of the chocolate bunny. Really I used a tiny heart punch and punched a corner of his ear, looks like I took a bite huh?  Hee Hee.

Day 4 Stamping All Around Spring 2 & Small Bow Metal Die

I can hardly believe we are here at day 4 of the Stamp Release Party for My Craft Spot, I'm having so much fun with these stamps and dies, I hope you are enjoying the new stamps and dies and all the creative projects!
Today we're sharing a sneak peek of the Stamping All Around Spring 2 stamp set that I had the privilege of designing. I'm also featuring one more of our metal dies, Small Bow, this is a 3 piece set and makes the cutest bow it measures approx. 2 3/4".
Remember all new stamp sets and metal dies will be available for purchase at My Craft Spot on Saturday.

If you are familiar with our Stamping All Around stamp sets, the Spring 2 is the 5th stamp set in that series, these stamp sets coordinate with the Tiny Doilies metal dies.

I hopped onto the Silhouette store and found this cute caldron pattern and thought it would make a great "Pot of Gold" I cut it out using my Silhouette Cameo, I love how it turned out.
I used Toadally Green crinkle ribbon around to pot, the added the new Small Bow metal die image. I hung my "you're my pot of gold" saying which was stamped on the images cut out using the Tiny Doilies metal dies.

Day 2 Jar Full of Spring, Fancy Edgers Metal Dies -New Release

I am loving this stamp release party and hope you are to! Today is day 2 of the party for My Craft Spot and we are giving you a sneak peek at another stamp set... Jar Full of Spring stamp set

This stamp set coordinates perfectly with the Jar Basics stamp set and metal dies that was released in September 2013.  You are going to love all the fun Valentine, Spring and Easter images in this stamp set. Once again Kimberly has given me the opportunity to design this set, thanks Kimberly!
We have 4 new metal dies for this release all will be randomly shown throughout the week. Small Bow, Heart Border and Fancy Edgers metal dies, I'm featuring the Fancy Edgers with today's project (the 4th metal die will be featured tomorrow).

All of the new stamps and metal dies will be available to purchase on Saturday

The Jar Full of Spring stamp set features several images that are great to place inside of the jar from the Jar Basics stamp set, or the images can be stamped without the jar as well.
I used the egg image; there is a solid egg, as well as a speckled egg that can be stamped over the top of the solid egg as I have done on my card below.
This stamp set also has several phrases for Valentine's Day and Easter, or this phrase that I used can be used everyday "you're Eggcellent" I hand cut around the two eggs that I added to my card.
I stamped the jar on cream cardstock and jar lid on light blue patterned paper, cut them both out using the Jar Basic metal die... these dies are so easy to use, I have a video -HERE showing how it's done. I then colored the lid using my copic markers, C3 and C5.
I tied the jar with Pink Jute String the used my foam tape to pop the jar as well as the egg off the card.
As mentioned above I use the new Fancy Edger metal die for my card, you are going to love the variety of edges in this die set, there are 6 images, I used two on my card below.
I also added Blue Sky crinkle ribbon on my card behind the jar.
I added the Fancy Edges to the inside of my card as well.

Thanks so much for visiting!

Day 5 -Christmas Friends & Neighbors

Hello all my friends, I hope you have followed along this week for the fabulous Stamp Release Party for My Craft Spot, I know the design team and I have really enjoyed sharing many inspiring projects with you as today, day 5, the inspiration continues.
We are showing a sneak peek of the new Christmas Friends & Neighbors designed by Kimberly.

The new Christmas Friends & Neighbors stamp set is full of great gift giving sentiments that will add a perfect touch to the treats you give to friends and neighbors during the holidays.
Giving a jar of jam or jelly is a great homemade gift during the holidays, this happens to be a jar of blackberry Jelly.
I had an old piece of tea dyed fabric that I used for the top of my jar, tied with Cranberry crinkle ribbon.

I stamped the jar on decorative paper using the Jar Basics stamp set then cut it out using the Jar Basics metal die,  the lid stamped on gray cardstock, and cut out.  Before stamping my sentiment I lightly stamped a few of the small ornaments from Jar Full of Christmas stamp set.
I attached the jar tag with Natural Jute Twine.
Since my pattern paper was so thin, I cut out the small jar on white cardstock and glued it onto the pattern paper for more stability, then stamped the To and From which is from the Jar Basics stamp set.
Thanks for joining me for day 5 of my sneak peek, please join us tomorrow for the My Craft Spot blog hop where the design team will once again inspire you with more projects using one of the 5 new stamp sets or metal dies, also each design team members (including myself) will be giving away one of the 5 stamp sets or metal dies, generously provided by Kimberly.
All 5 of the stamp sets including the 3 metal dies will be available for purchase tomorrow at My Craft Spot.

Hi everyone, welcome to day 3 of the Stamp Release Party for My Craft Spot!
Remember each day, there will be prizes at My Craft Spot, then on Saturday we'll have a design team Stamp Release Party Blog Hop with prizes at each blog along the way!
Join us everyday this week!!

Today's sneak peek is the Ornate Labels Christmas stamp set, again I had the privilege of designing this stamp set, which is perfect for your Holiday projects.

In addition to the Ornate Labels Christmas Stamp set I used the coordinating Ornate Labels metal die set that was released in September. I also cut three banners using the new Ribbon Banners Straight metal dies, as well as Vintage Pine crinkled ribbon.
Here is a close up of the label I stamped then cut out with its coordination metal die, then hand cut a layer to go behind.  I love the swirly snow flakes in this stamp set, the set also includes several individual snowflakes which is what I used to stamp in my three Ribbon Banners.
This is a triple loop bow made using the Vintage Pine crinkle ribbon, the flower is from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Sketch Challenge ~My Craft Spot Notebooks

Hello everyone, It's another fantastic Monday which brings a new challenge at My Craft Spot. This week is a "sketch" challenge.
Below is the sketch and I can't wait to show you what I created!

My daughter has gone back to college and I'm sending a care package to her and decided to include a gift for her and her new roommates. I made notebooks last fall see that post -HERE. The notebooks can be used for grocery list, notes to friends etc. My daughter doesn't really have 8 roommates, I'm just made a few extras :)
I used two of My Craft Spots stamp sets, Stamping All Around Spring and Friends & Neighbors. The metal dies I used are, Tiny Doilies and Small Alphabets, I also uses various colors of Crinkle Ribbon. All are available at My Craft Spot -HERE.
For the narrow note pads, I bought a pack 8 1/2" x 11" notepads from an office store and took it to my local copy store and had them cut the pads in to three long equal sizes, it was very inexpensive.
The cardstock base measures 6 1/4"x 11", scored at 3" and 3 1/4".
Notice the words "Enjoy it" on the inside bottom of the cover, it's from the Friends and Neighbors stamp set.
The doily and circle are cut from the Tiny Doilies metal dies, the flower is from the Small Alphabet Metal Dies, then added a rhinestone to the center of the flower.
The phrase is stamped using the Stamping All Around Spring stamp set.
The long patterned paper and long scalloped green cardstock were cut using my silhouette cameo, my own design. I placed crinkle ribbon down the center if the patterned paper, the colors I used are Sky Blue, Petal Pink and Buttercup.
I love these butterflies, they are cut from the Small Alphabet metal die.
The phrase is from Friends and Neighbors stamp set.

Remember to head over to My Craft Spot to see more 'Favorite Techniques' projects made by the My Craft Spot design team -HERE. We would love you to join us for this weeks challenge
Thanks for visiting my blog.

Day 4 Bon Appetite Stamp Set

I can hardly believe we are here at day 4 of the Stamp Release Party for My Craft Spot, I'm having so much fun with these stamps and dies, I hope you are enjoying the new stamps and dies and the creative projects!
Today we're sharing a sneak peek of the "Bon Appetit" stamp set designed by Kimberly. This stamp set is fun with whimsical phrases, you'll enjoy adding these sentiments to your cards and projects.
Remember all new stamp sets and metal dies will be available for purchase at My Craft Spot on Saturday.

I love the sayings and fonts used in the Bon Appetit stamp set, so I couldn't resist including the Jar Basics metal die to make a shape card to stamp my saying on, I also used Blue Sky crinkle ribbon and Ivory jute twine.
I attached my shape card to a cute jar using the crinkle ribbon and jute twine.
The below photo shows the back side of my simply made shape card, I cut out two of the small jars using the Jar Basics metal die. I scored about 1/4" down from the top of the jar and glued the top 1/4" to the back side of the first cut out jar shape (I did have to flip the back piece so it fit correctly).
Then placed the candy jar lid (cut from the Jar Basics metal die) using thick foam tape.
Thanks for visiting my blog today, there are more great projects made by Kimberly and the design team using the brand new Bon Appetit stamp set so head over to My Craft Spot, and while you're there remember to leave a comment on Kimberly's blog (My Craft Spot) today for your chance to win the Best Witches To You stamp set. click -HERE for My Craft Spot.
