Decatur Link of the Week

Image
For this week's featured Link of the Week on Picture Decatur, we spotlight "The Decaturian".     http://www.decaturian.com The Decaturian is the bi-weekly newspaper of Millikin University.  Published during the school year, The Decaturian is written, edited and managed by MU students.  This newspaper is viewed as one of the most important sources of news for the students on campus. As you'll see from their website, The Decaturian features a variety of stories (news, sports, arts) as well as some very good opinions pieces from their writers and editors. Keep up the great work team !

Decatur Link of the Week

For this edition of "Decatur Link of the Week", we feature a website that I was just introduced to over the weekend. Re:Decatur http://www.redecatur.com  ReThink, ReVeal, ReAct, ReDiscover This site is "an online community newspaper" where registered users who live in, have a connection to, or an interest in Decatur can post articles, stories, narratives and opinion pieces in a variety of categories about virtually any subject. I have had the opportunity so far to just read a few of the postings, and I am very impressed with the quality of writing and scope of topics that are presented here. A plus for the site is the ability to drill down a little ways into the author's biographies and find out a little more about who they are and how/why they have an interest in Decatur. Check this one out folks !!
