Sugar Creek Hollow's - Trash vintage

hi there
worked on a really neat challenge today from over at Sugar Creek Hollow ...to create using "your trash"!..not scraps...something that you are throwing away!!!
yikes, and then when I saw their inspiration...just blown away! They are paper crafters!!!
... sooooo what did I have in the trash? well... our latest magazine from our electric coop! took a picture of the page I used for the background....grapes....now to hunt for the stamp (-:

 
 did my best to turn it into vintage..


 sentiment was done with computer...so now when my DH sees me rummaging through the trash and asks ...why? and I tell him...to make cards! dont let him haul me away to the looney bin LOL...

back to work in am....have to say I did get some much needed sleep over this long weekend - laundry is staring back at me...oh well...I'm staring right back (-

Speedy the Cat's Challenge #71

Welcome Weekend!!
This week the Speedy the Cat Challenge Blog challenges us to create by bringing on the bling: rhinestones, pearls etc...I used GLITTER!!! and my stickles ...

Phri-days are Phindy's Challenge #71 - Anything Goes!!

hey hey hey!
Today is the first Friday in the month, so that means that it's time for the Phabulous Phindy Phriday when "anything goes" but for this challenge you must use a Phindy's Place image! There are some great images in the shop, if you are looking for a freebie you will always find a few on the Phindy's Place PCP Group.
This is a new image in Phindy's  2-7-0 Collection called Skeins

used the beautiful My Mind's Eye dp "Stella Rose" with base cs of SU's Not Quite Navy...sponged while image still in the nestie die (Lacey Circles) using Ranger's Distress ink "Milled Lavendar.
Colored with Copics E13, 53...BG 75, 78...B66, G63 and a silver pen for needles

love love that scrunched seam binding stuff that I got at a craft show and the sentiment is from WordsWorth...

Sugar Creek Hollow Challenge

hello - hello!
got to make another vintage card for the challenge over at Sugar Creek Hollow. This week the challenge is to do a masculine card... Here you go - sorry I dont know the name of the stamp, it has no markings. I purchased it years ago. Already know who will be receiving this one (-:
always gets me how different the colors are just switching camera settings...

crazy time for me at work right now - the properties I have managed for so long begin to close tomorrow - have been so busy collecting information for buyer on 21 buildings!! almost over though...
will be around to visit everyone soon

PS so glad I had my cards for this weekend autoposted...want to Thank you so much for all the well wishes from the earthquake - and right back at ya'... so glad none of us lost anything that was treasured - like our loved ones....so now... all my friends on the East Coast - stay safe in the hurricane headed our way!!! I'm stocked up on water and some essentials..figure we will lose power sometime over the weekend....I intend to stamp like crazy tomorrow night (-:  I'm still at work ..no internet at home, bummer!!! hope that will be fixed tomorrow

Earthquake Survivor! WOW - that was something!

just want to thank everyone for their concern - we live very close to Mineral but everything is fine!! was a bumpy ride there for awhile but all ok. Just had a lot of cleanup with everything fallen off shelves, mantles, pantry, cabinets, bookcases, etc...but very minor considering what it could have been...

thankful to the Lord that no one was hurt or major damage incurred! i guess He has given me a good reason to get rid of some stuff and do some good ole  "cleaning out cleaning"...

my stamps want to tell everyone they are fine and waving to ya LOL

Speedy the Cat's Challenge #69

hi there - wow the summer is almost gone! and gooooood bye HEAT!

This week the Speedy the Cat Challenge Blog challenges us to create "using dry or heat embossing"...

I chose to dry emboss using the large Cuttlebug Folder Plus "Brocade Window"...to frame the cute chickadee from MFP's set Ferns and Chickadee



also did the inside...will just write our message over the bird nests - good thing its a large card... have a lot to say to our friends we are sending this card to...love the ferns in this set also - great for backgrounds!!

Phri-days are Phindy's !!

I couldnt believe the challenge for this week....at Phindy's Place Friday Challenge Blog the challenge is " to create celebrating something new - job, school, home, baby...etc"
well this was tooooo perfect for me...
My assistant is hoping to be offered a promotion and I am really praying this will happen for her....have a card already for her!!! and the image kinda looks like me  LOL

isnt this neat! the picture is of a corner of a building we manage together - hoping it will be all hers!

Christmas Vintage

Hi there,
Well, I'm working on vintage and what better way to "flex my muscles" than entering in a vintage challenge. Made this one for the challenge over at Sugar Creek Hollow which is "vintage Christmas"...

OK, DT for Sugar Creek and everyone else- please let me know what you think, what I can improve, not do, etc.... used cutout images from the gorgeous Graphic 45 Design Paper "Christmas Past" collection

have yet to find a small ticket template so made my own using the SU corner punch

Stamp TV's CSS Alumni Blog Hop
