and WOW isn't that the truth! I have umbrellas stashed everywhere (-:

went to another image from Phindys Place (sure miss her!) called Spring Shower ...perfect for this theme!

Had fun layering...PLUS ...its helping me whittle down my stash. I am refusing to buy new until I make a serious dent in the old...KWIM!

I know the cardstock is from Stampin Up and pretty sure the designer paper is too.

St Patrick's Day. Irish or Green

I went with "Green" ... don't really use Irish cards :-( wish I did because they are so cute! But instead I chose this cutie from the Saturated Canary.

It will work for almost any occasion

colored my paper flowers with Copics used in her dress, added some stickles and Viva Pearl Pen for my pearls (love that stuff)...doodled my background edges...cut out my background mat using 

Spellbinders Label 14 and placed my image under the mat... don't know where the sentiment is from - it has found its way into my odds n ends stamp box that I use when finally cleaning off my craft area...

stash designer paper, ribbon and bold green cardstock from SU.

 Not having power for 4 days really set me back...so to catch up I'm going to post

 two Design Team challenges in this post...

FASHION

I'm using an adorable Phindy image from Phindy's Place...she's all dressed up and ready to celebrate (-:

Second Challenge was to have gone live on Saturday for the Sugar Creek Hollow vintage or shabby chic project ...using this beautiful photo inspiration.

 I created my card using stamp set from GKD

Both cards were colored with Copics...

well that was quicker and saved everyone from going into two separate posts....

and love coloring on this cardstock...i'ts from Paper Temptress and called Cryogen White. I did a closeup so you can see the sparkle in the cardstock

so pretty!

this card is 8.5 by 4.5!!!!

She's a "tallllll drink of water"....LOL

created for a friend who wanted something....tempting...

for her Marine boyfriend stationed in South Carolina...

well this is about as "tempting" as I create  ... she was tickled with it..plus she is tall (5'10") with short brown hair (not quite like in this image... but it works!)

oh and of course "purple" is her fav color

well we have new babies to arrive in our circle of friends, so chose to use this adorable image from Phindys Place (image is no longer available) for a little baby boy...

Well, I had the most awesome Christmas week with family. My oldest daughter and her family, as well as my younger brother and his family, stayed with us all week! Wonderful...

then we all traveled to Thurmont, Maryland for our Christmas family reunion and they had snow! so all the kids were thrilled (-:

they all headed home on Sunday the 30th so hubby and I then prepared to host our annual New Years Eve Party (we are big party-ers...dominoes and rook LOL) We had about 35 including all the kids...we had three tables of games going...it was also great...but then

woke up New Years Day so sick. Have run a steady fever of 102 which finally broke last night...so I'm now actually sitting up but looking forward to going back to bed. Have been on vacation, so grateful that I'm not having to work and be sick ...although I had planned on getting way ahead on my DT commitments...

oh well, maybe tomorrow (-:

I never even got my Christmas cards mailed.....
