Speedy the Fox Challenge

Hi there,
Well its, finally here. This is my last week as a member of the Speedy the Fox Challenge Team. So for this week's challenge at the Speedy the Fox Challenge Blog , I've made it very easy - the challenge is to create "using a square card"!. Now that doesn't mean a normal sized card (or any other kind of card) with a square on it LOL...but a true square card!

For my  5 x 5 card, I used the new set "Mother's Magnolias"
The cardstock, trim and ribbon are all from Mark's Finest Papers. The designer paper is from Graphics 45 - Once Upon a Springtime Collection.

Used Spellbinder's "Twisted Metal Tags & Accents", Labels 16, and Beaded Squares.
Ink is Memento Black and Bamboo
Copics: RV11, 34, 42, G20, YG03
Embellishments: Viva Liquid Pens - Salmon, and Diamond Stickles.

Enjoy the challenge and remember the winner receives a FREE MFP Stamp set!
See ya in blogland,
hugs

Speedy the Fox Challenge #99

Hello,
This week over at the Speedy the Fox Challenge Blog , I have challenged us to create " a CAS/ one layer card"...
These are tough to me! so grabbing the new MFP set "Lighthouses"....I started to think "one Layer" hmmmmm
Using a reverse mask from Spellbinders Labels One, I sponged the sky with Memento Summer Sky, Danube Blue, touch of Cantaloupe and Angel Pink. Using a post-it-note so would have straight line for the water, I added Paris Dusk.
Then paper pieced the lighthouse that was gently colored with Copics E11,YG63, Y11 and T3. Sentiment was stamped with Memento Danube Blue.

now I have to say, I do like this one layer card - it works for me (-:

hope you get a chance to play in this weeks' Speedy the Fox and Friends Challenge...
remember the randomly drawn winner receives a FREE stamp set (-:

hugs everyone,

and a side note, I have decided to step down from the Speedy the Fox Challenge blog. Have been with them for almost a year and felt it was time to "move on" as they say ...Will be participating through March with MFP. Appreciate time spent  as a Senior Design Team Member and Speedy the Fox DT Member....

Speedy the Fox Challenge #98

Hello,
This week over at the Speedy the Fox Challenge Blog , Tammy has challenged us to create "using her Bingo card" ..sorry - it's drawn by hand and not very good photo

For this Bingo challenge - I used Lace, Bling, Circles with the new set Mother's Magnolias

Lace and Ribbon from MFP
Bling is the Gold Metallic cardstock and Stickles in the flower center
Circles - the gold pearls

Lightly sponged designer paper with Memento Pear and Bamboo
Used Memento Black for sentiment and background stamping
Copics:  G20, YG67, E00, 02, 11..RV02, 04

Didn't take long - and that was nice for a change!
How much time do you think you average in creating your cards ?...not counting CAS cards

Speedy the Fox Challenge #97

This week over at the Speedy the Fox Challenge Blog , Pat has challenged us to "recycle something"...

Well, I lucked out - have another DT whose challenge is "trash to treasure" aka "recycle" LOL
soooooo, I love to recycle with magazines - the kind that have the nice coated pages. Our local magazine from the Virginia Farm Bureau called Cultivate is one of those and I save them for times like these (not to mention their recipes, decorating tips, etc) Used this magazine for both challenges...

Gave you a couple of pictures on what I did...which was embossed on the pages -
Voila!  instant colors and didn't have to color.

Magazine cover (you know I will eventually use that wreath on something!)

this is the page I used for my background

this is the page that was giving the instructions on how to make this wall decoration

here you can see where I stamped and embossed my images

then just cut images out, matted them....and Voila!
my recycled card (-:

hope you get a chance to play in this weeks' Speedy the Fox and Friends Challenge...
remember the randomly drawn winner receives a FREE stamp set (-:

hugs,
Supplies:

Speedy the Fox Challenge #95

This week over at the Speedy the Fox Challenge Blog , Pat has challenged us to create "a Joy Fold Card"..... didn't have a clue what that was but turns out its a fabulous tutorial over on SCS - here is the link.

Using the newly released MFP set " Blessings"...here is my take on the Joy Fold card

the video on the tutorial made this so easy - I changed mine up a little...this was really a neat way to use  scraps for that smaller card that's attached to the center. Used that little flower to keep the card closed.

hope you get a chance to try it out! looking forward to visiting your entry in the challenge (-:

Speedy the Fox Challenge #94

This week over at the Speedy the Fox Challenge Blog , Barb has challenged us to create "a shaped card"....

well, i messed up. My goal was to do the Word card as seen on this tutorial over at SCS ...but I got distracted and had matted all my insides and the cover before I remembered I was to CUT OUT the shapes... so I would have a "shaped card".....bummer! but I liked my card too much to start over..so you have a "Tri Fold" card instead of a shaped card...double bummer!

using the  gorgeous MFP set "Love Remains"...I can't seem to stop creating with it LOL....
my Shaped card aka Tri fold (-:

This is going to my 11 year old  Grandaughter in North Carolina,

Speedy the Fox Challenge #93

This week over at the Speedy the Fox Challenge Blog , Pat has challenged us to create "using a spray"....WHAAATTTT ??? you say....LOL

I had to ask too! by "Spray", they mean use "something sprayed onto your project"...ohhhhhhhh...OK!

for my project I created again with the  newly released set "Love Remains". My "spray" was Smooch Spritz and Glimmer Mist....(see supplies below)

i took 3 pics because depending on how you hold it - the glimmer mist gives it a different look

isn't that neat - i sprayed the cardstock first with Smooch, heat dried and then sprayed with the gold glimmer mist...paper pieced the roses onto red cardstock and cut the roses smaller to have a border of the red

hope you get to play along  - remember random winner gets a FREE MFP stamp set...

have a beautiful weekend!!

I have created two projects with the new set "New Pines" - this first one is a quick/easy card !
stamped the sentiment using Ranger's Distress - PineNeedles, then laid a nestie mask (a scrap piece of paper that has cut out this die image) over the sentiment and sponged lightly around sentiment...ran it through the Cuttlebug using the "dots" folder.
Added ribbon from MFP and matted onto MFP dark green cardstock. Stamped trees using white pigment ink and embossed with Seafoam White embossing powder onto piece of same green cardstock. Cut out trees and adhered to card. Adhered to MFP's white cardstock base.
This is a FIVE MINUTE card - very handy layout that I go to often when in a hurry (-:

Next is another vintage tag using this set (and it will be entered into some tag challenges)
i LOVE this designer paper - it's from My Mind's Eye "Lost & Found Christmas" matted onto olive cardstock.

reversed the paper and added the strip on the side.
Stamped the sentiment with Memento Black
Stamped the cone with Ranger's Distress Aged Mahogany and paper pieced onto card.
Added lace...and bow with stash ribbon above the cone...punched hole up at top and made my hang string - popped big designer brad to close up hole...
